I want to start by looking at this term creation. To create essentially means to make something that never existed before; to make something new and original. There are two kinds of creation that can take place and you will find both of them in the Scriptures.

Firstly there is a creation where you make something out of nothing. That is what God did in Genesis 1:1 where it says:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Nothing existed before God performed the creation. But once that creation had taken place, all those things now existed.

You will see the second type of creation described in the remainder of Genesis 1. This is where you begin with materials that already exist and you create something new from them.

God created the heavens and the earth; all the materials that make up the universe. Then He began to create a new earth out of the materials that already existed. These then are the two forms of creation.

Man Can Create

God has placed a creative ability into mankind. This is because He put some of His own nature into man. And because God is a creator, He has also made man to be the same.

Most of the creative ability that God has put into man falls under the second kind of creation, not the first. Only God can create something out of nothing. But God has given us the ability to take something that already exists and to create something new out of it.

I want to begin by looking firstly at this creative power which God has given to us. Then I want to look at seven keys to the creative ability or power. I will mention all seven of them now, but we are only going to look at the first one in this section. They are:

1. The Creative Ability Lies Inside of You

2. The Creative Ability is Under Your Control

3. The Creative Ability is Released Through Words and Actions

4. The Creative Ability Can Be Developed and Increased

5. The Creative Ability Can Be Assisted By Others

6. The Creative Ability Can Be Opposed By others

7. The Creative Ability Can Be Enhanced By the Creator Himself

All of these are the keys to the creative ability and the power that God has put into man. I want to look at this ability which lies inside of you so that you can try and identify it.

You need to be aware that it is there so that you can see it for yourself and realize that it is not just something that I am saying.

I want you to realize what God has given you. Then as we go through the rest of the keys, we are going to understand how to use this creative ability for one main purpose.

We can use it for many things. But the main purpose is to learn how to create wealth using this ability that God has given us.

The Way of Blessing Principles

I have previously taught many of the principles we will be covering here in a series called The New Way of Blessing Parts 1 and 2. This had a more spiritual or ministry emphasis.

The principles however stay the same. If you want a more detailed study on some of these principles I will be teaching, you need to get the New Way of Blessing.

Read it, listen to it or watch it - whatever form you buy it in. It will teach you all the foundational principles that I am going to explain to you now with more of a business and financial emphasis.

God has made each one of us with three parts to our being. You probably know this and you may have heard it already. But I am going to assume that you know nothing.

You see I am addressing business people now who may never have been exposed to our ministry, or may never have read the New Way of Blessing. So I am going to build from the foundation up.

God has made every human being to consist of a spirit, a soul and a body. I want you to realize that the creative ability lives inside of your spirit, your soul and your body.

This creative power is yours to use as we will see in later chapters. But first I want to look at what this power looks like, so that you can understand what God has given you.

The Power of the Spirit

The creative power lives in your spirit, and these are the forces that manifest that power.

Faith - the Power of Belief

First there is the power of faith. When you think of faith you start thinking more in terms of a spiritual or ministry side. You start thinking of salvation, about being a Christian and about living for God.

You think about faith as being the things you believe and your doctrinal stand. But I want you to stop thinking in ministry terms now and start thinking in practical business terms.

Faith is quite simply belief; when you believe something without a doubt. You know that you know that you know and are totally convinced that something is true. This is a function of the human spirit.

This force is very important, because whatever you create will be determined by what you believe. If you don't believe that you have the ability to create wealth, you will not even start the process.

If you don't believe you are capable of running a business and generating finance from it, you will never take the step of actually establishing that business. You won't take any steps that you need to accumulate wealth and generate finance.

The Importance of a Belief System

Your belief system is a central key to tapping into this creative ability that will cause you to create wealth. Many of the things you believe are things that people have told you through the years. Some of them are true and some are lies.

Much of what you believe is based on the books you have read and the people you have listened to. A lot is also based on your experiences. If you tried something and it didn't work, you became firmly convinced that it was not possible to do that.

So if you have tried to run a business and have failed, the chances are your belief system is pretty low right now. You are likely saying,

"I tried that and it didn't work; it failed. I tried to sell, but I just don't have what it takes."

It is very important that your belief system is well established. This is because that force of belief comes from within your spirit.

You need to learn to tap into your spirit, instead of your mind or your experience. As you tap into that raw power of faith that is a function of the spirit, you can overcome all of those obstacles.

Here now is the trouble. Our spirit is so deeply embedded within us that we have forgotten that it exists. We also haven't learned how to tap into it. Well I am going to teach you how to tap into that power.

I want you to realize that no matter what your spiritual condition is right now, there is a power within your spirit. It is called the force of faith; the ability to believe.

Love - the Power of Unselfishness

The second force is the force of love. What exactly is this force? It is the power of unselfishness which is absolutely vital in the business environment.

If your whole motivation in business is 100 percent selfish, you will impose your will on other people. You will force them to do what you want them to do for your own selfish gain.

If you plan to go into business simply to make money and get wealthy at the expense of other people, your business will fail. This is because you are not using the power of creativity that comes from the force of love.

You may say, "I didn't know I needed to love in business."

Well if you want to create, love is one of the forces of creation that comes from your spirit. And without this force operating along with the other ones, you will fail.

Many people have pushed hard and succeeded in business, but in the end they will fail. They don't take into account that the whole concept of business is to help other people to meet their needs. The most successful businessperson is one who finds the needs and desires of others. Then he or she helps them to achieve those desires in life.

You can't do that unless you get your eyes off yourself and see the needs in other people. You must realize that what you are doing in your business is helping others to find true happiness in life.

The force of love will guide you in that and keep you on beam all the time. It will make sure that your motive in business is always pure. And as you add this force to the others, I can guarantee there will be success in your creation of wealth.

Hope - The Power of Anticipation

The third spiritual force is the force of hope. It is quite simply the power of anticipation and expectation.

Hope is what keeps you driving forward and sees the possibilities that there are in your business. If you lose hope, what is the use of going on? If you have no hope that you could ever accomplish some of the wonderful dreams and goals that you have, what is the point of even trying because you know you are going to fail?

Hope is very important. You see bad experiences in life take away your hope and make you feel hopeless and useless. Here we get back to that same principle again; the one that says,

"I tried it and it didn't work, so I am afraid to try it again in case I make a fool of myself."

That is why you have to tap into something deeper than your understanding or experiences; something that comes from the spirit within. This is something you are not controlling from the outside. You are simply receiving it from the inside and allowing it to flow outwards.

You will learn more in due course how to let these forces flow out from you. But these three forces are absolutely vital to achieving this goal of accumulating wealth.

You need to establish your belief system and overcome your doubts with the force of faith that comes from within. You need to get your eyes off yourself and allow the force of love to flow out of you towards others. And you need to allow the force of hope to build up the power to keep pressing on until you reach the goal.

But here is a bit of a problem. If that was the only place we had creative ability we would be kind of stuck.

You see if it was like that you would have to just stand there and believe, love and hope. If somebody else doesn't do something you are not going to make money. And if nobody gives you money you are not going to make money.

It takes a lot more than simply having these forces within you to accumulate wealth; to accomplish what needs to be done in the business world.

You need more than your spirit. This is why when God put us on this earth He put our spirit into a body. And he gave us a soul that can communicate with the spirit and the body. In this way, together as a whole person, we can accomplish the goals that we set.
