Section 01 – Spiritual Transmutation

Ephesians 2:6 says:

And has raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus.

One of the biggest nuisances that we have these days is a thing called exchange control or foreign currency. You might have money in one country, but when you go to another country your money cannot be used there. 

If someone sends you a check that is in another currency, you have to put it in the bank and wait for foreign currency control to convert it before the money can come into your bank account. This causes a delay and you have to wait for your money. 

If you have cash, then you need to find a place that will allow you to change it into another currency and switch it between the two different countries.

You cannot use another country's money in a foreign land. It has to be converted to the local equivalent before you can use it. When you convert it there is nearly always an inconvenience. There is a delay and a waiting period for that to take place.

Transferring Between Two Realms

The Scripture says: 

God shall provide our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I mentioned in the previous book, The New Way of Blessing: Discovering Your Blessing, that the heavenly realm is another realm that is different. It is the realm that God lives in and is like another dimension or another country. 

God lives in that country and we live in this country. If God is to provide our needs from His country to ours, there is exchange control and a change of currency that needs to take place. 

So in this section I want to look at the heavenly realm and how we can go about obtaining what is in the heavenly realm (God's realm and where all the blessings are).

Then we will see how to cause those blessings to come down into our realm, which is the physical realm that we live in, and how we can go about doing a currency transfer. 

It is like the process of changing currency, because you need to bring it down from the heavenly realm into this realm that we live in. 

The Word tells us that God has,

… blessed us with every spiritual blessing in [the] heavenly [realm] in Christ:

The heavenly places refer to the heavenly realm - where the blessings are. They are where God is, since He is the one who has all these blessings, but He has given us access to all those blessings.

The only problem is that God gives in spiritual currency. He gives to us in heavenly currency. When He does this, we cannot take it and use it immediately in the country we are living in, in this physical realm. 

A Personal Revelation

I remember when the Lord began to quicken this to me. It was at the time I was waiting on Him totally and completely and He taught me many of these things in the Spirit. 

I remember coming to the Lord one day and saying,

"Father we are in desperate need of finance. We need money for food and basic necessities of life. We have a need, and Lord your Word says you will provide our needs." 

I had come to know the Lord Jesus intimately and I could speak with Him as a friend. I remember I looked at Him and He reached into His pocket and pulled out a checkbook. 

He said, "Sure, how much do you want?" 

Then I saw him make out a check and I thought,

"Well that's great and easy as an illustration. But hold it Lord, what are you trying to tell me here?" 

I saw Him then take that check, sign it and give it to me. 

He said, "There it is. I have given you what you have asked me for."

I looked at it and thought,

"That's all very well. I have this picture in my mind, but where is the money?" 

Then the Lord began to explain to me. He said,

"Supposing you were to receive something from somebody else, say a rich person whom you had asked for some money from. What if he were to say to you, 'Sure, I'll write you out a check.' 

And suppose he made out that check to you, signed it and placed it in your hands. He has given you what you asked for has he not? Have you not received it? You have it in your hands." 

You Have a Part to Play

You could say, "There it is; I have it in my hands. I'll put it in my Bible for safekeeping."

Then you could walk around with it for months. But do you have your money? No you don't.

What you have in your hands is a piece of paper that gives you the authority to transfer money from that person's bank account into your hands or into your bank account. That is all you have.

You could take that check and walk around with it for months and never see your money. You could come to that person again and say,

"I sure wish you would give me the money I asked for." 

He would say, "But I gave you the check the day you first asked me for it." 

"Yes, but I don't have the money." 

"Well, what more do you want me to do? I gave you the check." 

You see once he has done his part, you have a part to play. Your part is quite simply to take that check, go down to the local bank, identify yourself with whatever form you are using and say,

"This check is made out to me. Here is my identification. Can I have my money please?" 

If you don't do that, all you have in your hands is an authority to transfer, but you will never see the money that was given to you. It has not come into your hands yet, because you were responsible to make sure it gets there.

Most believers mess it up right at this point. They ask the Lord to provide their needs. They pray and say,

"Father this is what we need." 

The Lord says, "Sure, you've got it." 

Then they wait and they wait for the answer to come. They go to the Lord again and say,

"Lord, please will you give us this." 

The Lord says, "I gave it to you last time." 

"But Lord, I haven't got it yet." 

"Of course you have it. I gave it to you." 

"But I don't see it." 

"That's your responsibility, not mine." 

Can you see the picture? We have a responsibility. There is something that we have to do in order to cause that cash transfer to take place. 

Another way to send money is with a bank transfer. This is where you transfer money from one bank account directly to the other.

Once again it must be converted to the local equivalent before you can draw it in the new bank. But it has to be sent through the correct channels. 

I am not sure what the procedures are, but when you wire money usually there is a slight delay. Sometimes it has to go through several banks before it arrives at the destination bank. 

When it arrives there it is placed into your bank account, waiting and ready to be withdrawn. Then you have access to it, but because of the procedures involved there is often a delay before the transfer is completed. The principles are very similar. 

Your Special Bank Account

You need to realize that you have a bank account in Heaven in the realm where God lives. It was opened for you the moment you were born again. 

There is a special bank account in your name, waiting and ready for you to draw on. The Lord has opened it for you, and when He opened it He deposited into that bank account all the needs that you will ever have. 

You say, "Well I sure wish I had access to that bank account." 

You are like many people who are waiting until they get to Heaven one day to gain access to their bank account. They are waiting until they travel into the new country.

But I want to let you into a secret. It is possible to transfer currency from the one country to the other. 

It is possible for you, right now, to gain access to your heavenly bank account. You can draw from it and have finance transferred down here to you into this country where you live.

It is possible for you to tap into the treasures that the Lord has given to you, instead of waiting for them to arrive. 

Well I do not know about you, but I have yet to see a bank manager arrive at somebody's door with a bag of money and say,

"I figured you guys needed some money so I thought I'd just pop round and drop some off for you." 

Have you ever seen that happen? I don't know if that happens to millionaires, whether they are so important to banks that they obtain that kind of VIP service, but I have never heard of that happening yet.

You could have had that money in your bank account for years and nobody would try to do a thing. In fact they want to make sure you leave it there as long as possible. They do not want you to draw it out. 

You have a heavenly bank account and you need to learn how to use it. What do we normally do with bank accounts? We deposit money into them and draw money out of them.

Your heavenly bank account is no different. It is possible for you to make deposits into that account, as well as make withdrawals. 

The Tithing Issue

I know what you are probably thinking right now. 

"Here comes the old tithing story. I know what he's going to tell us. You have to pay your tithes before you can withdraw. Before God will provide your need you have to sow a seed." 

Well we will cover giving, but no I am not going to speaking about tithes.

I will show you how to deposit into your heavenly bank account in ways that perhaps you have never ever learned about. I will also show you how to make withdrawals from your bank account. 

People have been taught through the years how to deposit in only one way - by giving to and investing finance in the work of the Lord.

It sure has been preached, and there is not a person out there who does not know how to invest in their bank account in this way. 

But very few people have been taught how to withdraw from their bank accounts. Do you know why? Because they have been given the lie that says,

"The tithe is your obligation to the Lord. You shouldn't expect anything back from it. You are responsible. It belongs to God. If you withhold it you have stolen from Him. But even when you give, you shouldn't expect anything back."

Spiritual Investments

This is a big subject that I am not going to deal with here so I will not say any more. But I want you to know that anything you invest in your heavenly bank account is going to draw interest.

We will look at it shortly as I show you how to invest and deposit into your bank account and how to make withdrawals from it. 

In Matthew 6:19 to 21 Jesus said:

Do not store up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust are corrupting, and where thieves break through and steal:
But store up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust are corrupting, and where thieves do not break through nor steal
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Jesus said, "Store up your treasures in Heaven where they are not going to be corroded by moth and rust."

What are moth and rust? They are inflation and everything that goes wrong in this world.

You can invest money in a bank account. You can leave it there for a few years and it will be worth half what it used to be.

It loses in value and gets corroded. You lay your hands on some money, and taxes will take half of it. Then sickness and the problems of life will take the rest of it. 

When you are paid for your hard-earned work each pay period, it is barely in your hands and it is starting to corrode. 

It is like living by the sea. Everything just rusts and corrodes in no time. You do not need to tell it to rust. You do not even need to make any special effort to make anything rust there.

You simply leave it outside for a while, and before you know it you have a layer of rust forming on it. It starts to corrode and get eaten away. Your car starts to get holes in it without you even trying. 

That is the way things are in this world. Whatever treasures you have, they will corrode and get eaten away and you will lose them. But the Lord says,

"Why don't you rather put it in a place where none of those things exist; where it will be protected?" 

You say, "Well that's all good and well but I need the stuff now. I mean it is fine me saving it up there, but I can't get it until I get to Heaven one day.

What is the good of me investing in Heaven, so that one day when I'm in the presence of the Lord, I can finally go and receive all those things that I stored away? I don't need them then, I need them now." 

That is because you have never learned, or perhaps never been taught, that you can withdraw from your heavenly bank account.

You do not have to leave it there. You can draw it out now. That is what we will look at here.
