Foreword

By Apostle Les D. Crause

It gives me great pride and joy to write this foreword for the first book by my youngest child and only son, John. He has grown up in the presence of preaching and teaching and is saturated with many teachings he received under my ministry.

Not many parents, especially ministers, can boast of having their children follow in their footsteps, but I am blessed to have all my children faithfully serving the Lord. Both the eldest and the youngest have risen up with a desire to do the work of the ministry.

Whereas the others have all left home to pursue their goals and desires, John alone has remained faithfully with me and become my left hand in the work. His Mom, Daphne, holds the place of the right hand, but John and I have a special relationship both in the natural and in the Lord.

He has always been a slow starter, and for many years, I did not anticipate that he would one day rise up to walk in my shoes. There was no pressure, and I was happy for him to find his own purpose in life. Until the day the Lord gave us a clear word concerning him.

At that time, the Lord had been comparing me to Abraham and telling me I would birth a new generation of believers and ministers. He said I would build His church on a new pattern and introduce that pattern to the world.

I did this faithfully. But as I grew older, I realized that I would need someone to take over from me when my time was up.

The Lord spoke clearly and showed me that John would become to me as Isaac was to Abraham. He would rise and become a better me. He would take all that I had poured into Him and add to it from his own knowledge and experience.

Today, this is becoming a greater reality than I ever hoped for. He has not only taken all that I have poured into him but improved and repackaged it. This became very clear when he started a new ministry on his own, which he called The Ministry Corner.

Taking subjects that are some of my favorites yet very different from what others teach, he began to display a Teaching Ministry that is par excellence. He wanted to lay a foundation of basic teachings for every believer at all levels.

But what came out was far greater than we both expected. You hold a book born out of knowledge and experience and unique in many ways. It not only introduces you to some basic understanding of the spiritual life but takes you by the hand and leads you into deeper waters.

This is more than the kind of book you will read from start to finish and then put down. It contains so many facets of the spiritual life that you will find yourself returning to it again and again. The teachings are presented simply and are easy to understand.

But you will be prompted to look deeper into yourself and your relationship with the Lord. And it will become a companion to the Word in your daily walk with the Lord.

So we present to the world the outflow of a life lived in the presence of the Lord. And you will find both the teaching method and anointing in this book an essential part of your spiritual growth.
