Now, today we don't wear mantles anymore, so sometimes it can be a bit confusing knowing exactly what is referred to when we speak about a mantle. But in Bible times, the mantle was a standard piece of clothing that was worn. Now, the real mantles were actually robes or coats.

There's a kind of a robe or coat that a person wore over their clothes. And very often, the kind of mantle or coat that the person wore would give an indication of what they do, of what their, maybe their activity, their work, their qualification, or their leadership position was. You could often assess a person by the mantle that they wore.

Now, here's a few significant mantles that are mentioned in Scripture. Firstly, we read of Aaron's coat. Aaron, who was the first high priest, was given a special white linen mantle to wear, which distinguished him as the high priest.

So, when you saw him with this specific mantle, you knew that was the high priest. He was the only one who wore that kind of garment. Now, fishermen also wore specific garments.

I know that because in John chapter 21 and verse 7, we read an example where Peter, he was naked, and then he heard that Jesus was there. And it says that he threw his fisherman's coat on him, tied it around him, and threw himself into the sea. So, there was a specific fisherman's coat.

If you saw the guy wearing the fisherman's coat, that was the mantle of a fisherman. And, of course, a king had a special robe, a special mantle, which he wore, which distinguished him as a king. Now, in that passage we looked at in Isaiah, Isaiah saw the Lord as a king, seated on his throne, and he saw the mantle of the Lord coming down.

Isaiah was standing in the temple at the time. He was offering sacrifices. He was standing before the brazen altar where they offer the sacrifices, and he was worshiping God, and he had this open vision where he saw the Lord up there, and he saw the mantle of the Lord, and the bottom part of his mantle, the hem, was hanging in the temple.

And it filled the place with glory, and amazing things began to happen. Things happened to Isaiah, and we're not going into that in detail, but it's one of the signs of what happens when the mantle of God's presence comes to a place. And then the prophets also had a mantle.

We read of Elijah the prophet, who had a specific mantle. It was like a hairy, furry kind of thing that was very distinct for the prophet. And we see that Elijah eventually left that mantle behind when he went up into heaven, and Elijah picked up that same mantle and began to wear it.

So there's a specific mantle for the prophet. But these, of course, we're still looking at natural clothing items, mantle. Now, what is the purpose for a mantle? Well, one of the first purposes was to identify a person's rank.

So the king, when he wore a robe, you knew he was the king. When the high priest wore his robe, you knew he was the high priest. Okay, if the fisherman wore his robe, you knew he was a fisherman.

And there was even a teacher's robe or a scribe's robe. So you could identify these people and what their activity in life was based on the mantle that they wore. Now, those are all natural mantles.

Today, we don't have quite the same thing. People don't go around wearing specific mantles. Now, they sometimes do it in traditional environments and situations.

And like in the universities, they still wear these robes and wigs. And in the legal, they wear the wigs. These are all hang-ups from the past where specific garments were worn to identify a person.

But the Bible speaks about spiritual mantles. Because in the Old Testament, what was literal became symbolic, became spiritual, became an allegory in the New Testament. And so, one of the first mantles that we consider when we look at a spiritual mantle is a mantle of authority.

Jesus carried authority. When he did these things, they would marvel and say, man, what authority has been given to this person? They even questioned him and said, by what power or authority do you do these things? Now, when we come to the spiritual realm, God offers a mantle for different ministries. And there are different kinds of mantle.

And so, I want to start by showing you first that there are two main different kinds of ministry mantle. There is the mantle of those who qualify for and are promoted into ministry office. And that is the apostle, the prophet, and the teacher.

Those all have the possibility of rising up to a higher level in ministry, the office level. And when a person rises up into that office level, they are given a mantle of authority. And we haven't often seen the mantles in the spirit for the prophet and the teacher.

We've seen other things. But when we place somebody in apostolic office, we always see the kingly robe is placed on them. And when we place somebody into apostolic office, we always place upon them the apostolic mantle.

It's a mantle of authority. Now, when it comes to ministry, things are a little bit different. The mantle for ministry is not a mantle of authority, but a mantle of ability.

In the original Greek, there were two words translated power. There was exousia, the power authority, and dunamis, the power of ability. And we'll look more at that as we continue.

Now, the mantle of authority is given only once, and it remains. And so the apostle, when they are placed in office, are given the mantle, the robe of the apostolic office, only once. It never needs to be repeated.

And they now qualify and stand in that office and have the right to wear that mantle. Now, kings, the kings were specifically anointed. But what I want you to look at here is the fact that this kind of mantle is given once only and is never repeated.

It's only given once. So if we go back to the anointing of the kings, we see originally that Samuel anointed Saul to be the king. And even though Saul turned his back against God and the spirit of God had left Saul, Saul was nevertheless anointed and given a mantle of authority to be the king.

And David continued to recognize that mantle. And he refused to touch Saul and to kill him and to destroy him. He said, because how can I destroy the Lord's anointed? It was given once, could not be taken away.

Now, David himself received that same kind of kingly anointing. When Samuel came to his father's home, called him out, anointed him with oil and anointed him to be the next king of Israel. From that day forward, David carried a specific anointing to be king.

He wasn't yet officially the king. It took many years before that happened and before Saul died and David could step into his place. But David was given once only that anointing, which now made him a king.

Of course, our ultimate model is the Lord Jesus himself. Okay. In John 1 and 32, John speaks concerning Jesus.

And he speaks about that day when Jesus came to be baptized and the dove came down. And John bore record saying, I saw the spirit descending from heaven like a dove and it remained, it remained, I want you to notice that, upon him. The dove didn't just land and fly away, it remained upon him.

And John said, and I did not know him, but he that sent me to baptize with water also said to me, upon whom you will see the spirit descending and remaining on him and remaining on him. He is the same one who baptizes the Holy Spirit. This specific mantle is given once and it remains.

It's not taken away. Now, sometimes, sometimes there is a mantle that's only needed for a specific situation. And the mantle comes upon a person and they function under that mantle for a while.

And then the mantle lifts. They don't carry that mantle permanently. This is not a mantle of authority, but a mantle of power and ability to do something.

And we see this happening quite frequently in the Old Testament. We see it firstly happening with Samson. When the mantle of God's anointing came on Samson, he got extremely strong and he did amazing things, carried whole gates, killed people with the jawbone of an ass.

It was the mantle of God's strength that came on him. We see the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18 46, where he's just prayed and God said, the rain's going to come back. And he tells Ahab, you better, you better get on your chariot and go home because there's rain coming.

And so there's Ahab on his chariot with his horses going full speed ahead. And the mantle of God's anointing comes on Elijah and he runs so fast that he overtakes the chariot with the horses. That is super human.

See, now Elijah didn't receive the fast runner's mantle that thereafter he could compete in any sport and win. It wasn't a permanent thing. It only came on him for that moment.

Another example we see is with Moses and the 70 elders, which we see in Numbers chapter 11 and verse 25. We see that God said to Moses, I will take of the anointing or the mantle that is on you and I will place that same mantle on the 70 elders that you have chosen from Israel. And that's exactly what happened.

They all began to function exactly. They became like Moses carrying the same mantle. Now with the mantle, often there are included additional objects.

And so when God gives you a mantle of this kind, he will sometimes give you specific instruments to use with that mantle. One of them, for example, is a key. A key gives you the authority to lock and unlock.

And so prophets in office who've received the prophetic mantle, they have a key, either a golden key or a silver key or both, which give them authority. And that authority only works because of the mantle. Without the mantle, that authority doesn't work.

So once a prophet has received that mantle of the prophetic office, they have a key that they can use. They are sometimes a ring. A ring in those days was the king's ability to sign and to seal decrees, as we see in Esther, where the decree was issued by Haman to destroy the Jews.

One of the emblems that's given with the robe or the mantle can be a crown, as in the apostolic office, there is a crown or a headdress that goes with it. These function together with the mantle. Now I want to look at the mantle of ability, which we've been discussing in a bit more detail now, because this is the one that probably most believers are looking to operate in.

Those who have attained both the teaching office, the prophetic office, and the apostolic office, they are a unique group right at the top. They are the leaders in the body of Christ, but the majority of other people are not left out. It's not only apostles, prophets, and teachers that can have a mantle.

Yes, they are the only ones who carry the mantle of authority. And that mantle has been given to them permanently, and they can put it on at any time and wield that authority. They don't have to wait for a special anointing or a special occasion, and we look at that more as we go on.

Now the mantle of ability comes only when it's needed. Let's look at some examples. Peter is standing up preaching to the Gentiles in Cornelius's household, and in Acts 10 44 and verse 45, we read that while Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit fell on these people, and the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out.

It was a mantle that came down on them while Peter was preaching. Sometimes the mantle comes while you are sitting listening to the word being preached. So if you're looking at one of the ways of getting this mantle, that's one of the ways.

Find somebody who is anointed, and watch them, and listen to them, and hang on to their every word. Who knows, in the middle of that you may find a mantle falling on you, and anointing you, and giving you a supernatural ability. Now this can also be imparted or transmitted.

And so we see in Acts chapter 8 verse 17, after Philip had gone to Samaria and had an evangelistic revival, many people came to the Lord. They sent Peter and John down to lay hands on them, and it says that as they laid hands on them, they received the Holy Spirit. What did they receive? They received a mantle of the Holy Spirit that came on them.

A mantle can be received through the laying on of hands. Now sometimes this kind of mantle is in fact frequently, and most of the time it's totally unpredictable. It may come when you least expect it, but it never comes on demand.

You can't say, okay I want the mantle tonight. See that's under God's control. You may be sitting in a meeting, not doing anything specifically, when suddenly you feel this anointing of God come all over you.

It's like somebody dropped an item of clothing on you. The mantle comes on you. It comes unexpectedly and unpredictably, and then it leaves sometimes the same way.

Just when you were starting to enjoy it, suddenly it lifts and it's gone. See that's what this mantle of power often operates like. It's always temporary.

Now the first mantle, the mantle of authority, is given once only, and it remains and is never repeated. This mantle is always temporary. It does not remain.

It comes only for the moment for you to function in a specific situation, and then it lifts and it's gone. And when this mantle comes, it brings a manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. When that mantle comes on you, you start to get prophetic revelation.

You start to flow in healing anointing. Perhaps God places on you an anointing to set the captives free, and you can pray and bring deliverance to people who are in bondage. While that mantle is on you, you are operating under the power and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

And sometimes God will give you objects to use with that mantle. One of the most common objects that are used with this kind of mantle is a sword. With the mantle of authority, usually it's a key, because a key is something that you use to lock and unlock.

It's an authority to bind and loose, the scripture speaks about. But a sword is a wielding of power. It's when you take an energy and release it, when you do something active.

And so when this mantle comes on you, God may show you a sword in your hand. It may be a golden sword. It could be a silver sword.

It might be a brass sword. It may be a fiery sword, or it may even be a lightsaber, like a laser beam coming out of it. Now there are other objects also that work with this kind of anointing.

You may see gloves, or feel gloves on your hand. Maybe golden gloves, maybe other gloves. And God showing you that there's something that you must do with your hands.

You may see a telescope, and God is showing you that he's giving you a future vision. He's helping you to see into the future. You may see ointment that you should take and rub on somebody when you pray with them for healing.

An implement which the Lord gave me not long ago is a taser. I've never actually seen a taser. I've seen them use it.

The police often will use it to stun somebody and bring somebody to order. It's an instrument that seems to release some kind of shot of power. And as I began to look to the Lord, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, I said, Lord, how do I minister to people who contract this? I need to know.

And he said, I'm giving you an instrument that you can use, which will detect whether the virus is a normal flu virus, or whether it's a coronavirus. He said, and you will use that instrument to deal with both of them. Command it to be destroyed and to be removed from a person.

So God may give you a unique object when that mantle of anointing comes, and you need to learn how to operate it and use it. So that's what I want to look at next. How do you use the mantle that the Lord gives you? Well, the first logical thing to do is to put it on.

It's a piece of garment, right? The mantle is a coat or a robe. It's something that you wear. See, now, you may brag, you need to come look at my cupboard and see the wonderful dresses I've got.

Man, I've got some awesome stuff. The guy may say, you must see that new suit that I bought, or that new leather jacket that I got. It's really awesome.

Well, what use is it in your cupboard? You need to wear it. See, so if God's given you a mantle, you don't stand up and brag. You say, well, I've been given the apostolic mantle.

Thank the Lord. I'm a hotshot now. What are you doing with it? See, if you don't put it on, it's actually going to have no effect at all.

Now, we find that as we place people into office, a lot of the time they rejoice that they've now accomplished and attained a goal. They have finally reached office. They're taking that mantle and putting it in the cupboard.

They don't know how to use it. They don't know what to do with it. But they've arrived.

See, you're going to have to learn how to use that mantle once you've got it. You're going to have to know how to put it on. And when you do, you need to prepare your heart to minister for the Lord.

You need to sanctify yourself to be a vessel fit for the Lord to use. You say, I've got the mantle. Sure, you do.

But if you're going to put on that mantle, you must put it on with humility. You must put it on with submission. You must put it on acknowledging who you are, that you are unworthy, that you are a sinful being, and that without Him, you can do nothing.

You need to set yourself afresh and make yourself available to the Lord. Say, Lord, I want to operate today in the mantle you've given me. So I submit myself afresh to you now completely, and I ask you to use me as I put on this mantle.

And then once you've got the mantle, reach out in faith and expect the anointing to come. If it doesn't come, wait until it comes. Because until the anointing of that mantle manifests in and through you, nothing's going to happen.

Now, many great men of God and a lot of the big evangelists out there know that sometimes you have to wait before that mantle of power is there. These are not apostles or prophets. They are evangelists, and the evangelist functions under ministry and not under office.

So the evangelist functions very specifically in this kind of mantle of power. Now, you will see the big evangelists out there, past and present. They don't just stand up in a meeting and get going.

Very often, they have to prepare their hearts. They go through a time of worship and waiting on God, or they may stand up and begin to preach and to share before they offer to pray for the sick. Do you ever wonder why they do that? I remember seeing Kathryn Kuhlman stand up and preach and sing and preach and sing.

And you say, why don't you get and do the stuff now? She was waiting for the mantle to come. And then the mantle comes, and you can literally see it. And then they stand up, and they start to call out the healing.

I've seen Benny Hinn function the same way. I've seen other evangelists out there. They operate the same way.

I've seen Yonggi Cho, who functions very much in this anointing as well. He will stand up and preach, and he will share, and then he will come to that part of the meeting where he says, okay, now it's time for us to pray for the sick. God's going to heal you now.

See, they're waiting for the mantle to arrive. And when the mantle arrives, they stand in that mantle, and they release the anointing that comes from that mantle. Now, if you've already been given a mantle, a mantle that's been given to you to keep and to reuse, that may be specifically a mantle of authority as in the three ministry offices, but sometimes there are additional mantles that God will give you that he tells you, I want you to operate under this mantle of anointing.

You need to know when to put on which mantle. When you do, you function according to what that mantle represents. You use the authority that that mantle gives you, okay? And so if you stand in the prophetic mantle, you function as a prophet.

And then if you've been given additional implements like keys to use, you then take those and operate those along with the anointing of the mantle. Now, when you start to move in flowing in the gifts of the spirit, you'll find out that there are unique modes of operation. Not everybody will get revelation the same way.

Not everybody will heal the sick the same way. God has unique modes of operation. What is your mode of operation? You may watch somebody else and try to copy them, but the mantle that God gave you includes specific gifts, specific objects, and specific modes of operation.

Do you know what they are? Do you know how to use them? Sometimes it takes you a while to find out. Some of the manifestations God's given me in the gifts of the spirit, I didn't know what was happening in me. I just experienced and felt and saw things.

It took me a while to learn how to use them. So now here's something that you may not have thought of. Is it possible to have more than one mantle? You say, well God's called me to be a prophet.

I've studied hard. I qualified for the prophetic office and now I stand in the mantle of a prophet. What if God wants you to be an evangelist? What if he wants you to be a pastor? What if he wants you to be a teacher? What if the circumstances or the people that you're working with require a different kind of ministry? Well the good news is you don't have to be limited to one mantle.

Come on ladies, would you like to have a cupboard with only one good dress in it? The Lord allows us to have more than one mantle of anointing and you need to learn how to use each one of those mantles. Now I've found in the past as I've stood up as an apostolic teacher to teach on the different ministries, to teach on the apostle and on the prophet and on the teacher and the pastor and the evangelist. I found as I stood up to teach a new mantle came upon me and if you watch some of my preaching way back there where I first preached on the evangelist, I preached in a totally different way than I did as a teacher.

Why? Because I stood in an evangelistic mantle trying to explain to evangelists how to function in their ministry. So each mantle has specific characteristics and manifestations. See now here's where sometimes we go wrong.

You know I've got my favorite dress, I've got my favorite jacket and I've got my favorite mantle of anointing. You know I'm very comfortable operating as a prophet. I've done it for a long time.

I can do it without thinking and so I feel good when I come to minister to somebody. I put on the prophetic mantle and now I'm ready to get revelation. I'm ready to prophesy over them.

I'm ready to give them direction for their life and for their ministry and then right in the middle of that becomes an evangelistic need or a teaching need or some other need and now we try and fit that need or that ministry into the mantle that we're wearing. We try really hard because you've got the anointing on you but it doesn't work. Now I'm sharing this because it's been my experience.

For years I've operated comfortably under the mantle of the prophet. Yes I stand in apostolic office but I love the mantle of the prophet and if somebody needs prophetic ministry I don't need to prepare my heart ahead of time. I don't need to spend time fasting and prayer and waiting on the Lord and saying Lord please will you give me a revelation for this person.

No I just make an appointment. I say I'll see you on such and such a day at such and such a time and when they arrive I walk in and I put on the prophetic mantle and every time I'll get revelation. I'll get prophetic words.

I'll get visions. I'll get exactly what is needed to minister prophetically to that person. Then God said I want you to now minister my power gifts and I want you to minister to the sick.

Well that was great. I put on my prophetic mantle. I prayed for the sick person and God immediately showed me what was wrong with them.

It's one of the gifts I operated and I lay hands on you. I can usually tell what's wrong with your body. I can sometimes see it in the spirit.

I can almost see the diseased organ and I can tell you even better than your doctor can tell you what's wrong with you but nobody got healed. I said Lord but you showed me the sickness. Why didn't they get healed? I have only learned not long ago he said you put on the wrong mantle.

That's why. Learn to use the right mantle for the right ministry and the right need. Now this is a new revelation to me.

I've never shared this before and we've not practiced this in training people for ministry but I see more and more that we're going to have to spend more time with people after we have placed them in office and after we have seen God give them a mantle we're going to have to help them to learn how to operate in the mantle that God's given them and so obviously the the ultimate question then is okay so how do I get a mantle? I've showed you how they operate. I've showed you how to use them. What have you done? Got one.

Okay let me ask you the simple question. Have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit where the anointing of God came down upon you and anointed you with power and in most cases you spoke with other tongues? You know what the baptism of the Holy Spirit is. I don't need to teach you on it.

Well the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a mantle and we saw that there when Peter was preaching to Cornelius when Peter and John laid their hands on the converts of Philip. It says the spirit came upon them. Basically when they stood there God took this mantle and just dropped it on them fell down on your shoulders and there it was.

So if you are an ordinary believer baptized in the Holy Spirit the good news is you have a mantle. Well what can you do with that mantle? Jesus told us that way back in Mark the last chapter when he said these signs will follow those who believe. In my name they shall cast out devils.

They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. You can bring deliverance and heal the sick with the mantle that you already have as a believer. You don't have to look for another mantle but here's the thing.

Do you know how to step into that anointing? Do you know how to put on that mantle or do you wait for a nice meeting where the Spirit of God is moving where maybe the leader is under an anointing and you start to feel God's presence and then you start to speak in tongues and you feel his see you're waiting for the mantle to fall on you. Not using the mantle God's already given you. If you will have the courage to step out boldly and say God has given me his power and his anointing let me go and use it.

But people are saying well I'm not sure whether I have the gifts. Others are saying I need to be activated whatever that is. That can be very dangerous but yes there is an aspect to where the mantle that is on you needs to be brought to life.

So you may need a bit of help using the mantle that you already have. That mantle gives you an access to the external anointing of God. Now you can receive a permanent mantle through being trained by a senior minister and this applies specifically only to the office level.

This is what we have done in the past in GBM. We have offered training to the fivefold ministry and brought them to the place where they come to office and receive the mantle of authority. Now here's the difference between the mantle of authority that comes specifically through office and the mantle of power that comes through the gifts of the spirit and the ability to function under the anointing.

Here's the difference. Now I want you to understand this clearly because I know you're asking right now what can I do to get the mantle? What can I do to get the mantle? But if God's called you to a higher level ministry it's going to cost you to get that mantle. You're going to have to be prepared to submit yourself to be trained.

You're going to go through a time of testing. Sometimes you'll fail the tests miserably. You are going to go through death experiences where you are going to die to all of your natural abilities and strengths and it's going to take a time.

It's not going to happen overnight and if you're not prepared to follow through to the end of the training you're not going to get that mantle. If you're ready for prophetic training and you've been released into training it takes nine months for you to qualify for that mantle. The apostle can take up to three years.

So it's not going to happen easily. It's going to take time and it's going to cost you. So don't come forward and say please would you lay your hands on me and give me your apostolic mantle and for those of you who think that you're going to get it after somebody dies.

You know people have taken the story of Elijah and Elisha and they said that you know when Elijah was gone he passed his mantle down to Elisha and we see for example Moses when he went and died he laid hands on Joshua and imparted his mantle to Joshua. Have you ever realized or thought why Elijah passed his mantle to Elisha? Hmm? Have you thought why Moses passed his mantle to Joshua? Go and read the scriptures carefully. Elijah, Elijah messed up.

He messed up so badly that God said to him I want you to go and anoint somebody else to be prophet in your place. Yeah he got taken up to heaven by a whirlwind but Elijah was not allowed to continue because he missed God. I'm not going to elaborate on that.

The same thing happened to Moses. He failed to go in the promised land but he got angry and struck the rock twice and God said it's over for you Moses. You're going to have to hand over to somebody else.

I believe for many years that as a Moses apostle I was to find the Joshua to hand over to and every time I tried to do it it backfired because I wasn't dead yet and the Lord said you didn't fail. So why you want to do that? Instead the Lord said set aside the Moses mantle and now go and put on the mantle of Joshua instead. Set aside the David mantle and put on you the mantle of Solomon instead.

Well it doesn't mean that I lost the first mantle. It's still there. I can put it on at any time again in the future.

You see where is God putting you right now and where are you right now when it comes to training? Have you followed through on the training God has given you or have you been dragging your feet for months and years and failing to go through to qualify for the office and the mantle of authority that God wants to give you and I feel I'm speaking to some specific people here and that's why I'm emphasizing it. You have failed to follow through and now you're complaining and saying oh it's not fair. Everybody else is flowing in the anointing being used by God and look at me there's a price to pay.

If you're not prepared to pay the price and follow through you won't make it to the end. If you're not moving at that level you can receive an impartation from an apostle. Paul says I want to come and see you to the Romans that I may impart a spiritual gift to you.

Apostles have the ability to impart spiritual gifts and mantles to people. When they do that you will function in a very similar way in the external anointing to what they do but this is not a mantle of authority it's a mantle of ability and power that you've been given and actually all that God requires of you for this you'll find there in 1 Corinthians where it says follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts. You don't have to go through the death process.

You don't have to go through the training and pass the tests. All you do is desire it and reach out by faith and receive it and you can start operating starting now with the mantle you got with the baptism the Holy Spirit and the Lord can add additional ministry and get you to flow in prophetic ministry and get you to flow in evangelistic ministry and operate supernaturally. Now you can receive it directly from the Lord Jesus as I saw him high and lifted up and his train coming down.

Well just as Elisha looked up and saw Elijah going into heaven and the mantle came fluttering down the early disciples looked up and saw Jesus ascending into heaven and he said go and wait in Jerusalem because in 10 days time my mantle's coming down. And the day of Pentecost it came down and fell on all of them. He said well I don't have somebody that I can receive training from, somebody who can impart to me how do I get it.

You can get it direct from the Lord but it's not as easy. There's nobody that you can go to for help except the Lord himself. It's a very lonely walk and the higher you go the lonelier it gets.

I know because this is the road I've had to walk. I never ever had anybody impart or give anything to me. All the mantles that I received I received direct from the Lord but now that I've received them I can impart them to others.

Before you step into that there's just a few things and I'm not gonna, I'm gonna end on this. There may be a few blockages. Before you go and enter into this new supernatural dimension you better deal first with curses in your life.

You better deal with any family generation curses. You better deal with any personal involvement that you may have had in the occult or in demonic practices in the past because if you don't deal with those now when that mantle of anointing comes on you there is gonna be a fight. So what I can't understand I've been trying so hard and trusting the Lord so hard but nothing comes.

Perhaps there's a blockage there that you need to deal with. Perhaps there's a sinful habit in your life that you need to conquer. Perhaps you're just plain afraid of opening your heart to the supernatural because you don't know what God's going to do and you're afraid that God may make you do something you don't want to do.

You've given the Lord a yes but. Well then that's not, that anointing and that mantle is not going to come. Perhaps you are bitter and rebellious against the Lord because of things that happened to you in life.

Because leaders of the past have hurt you and abused you and you're blaming God for it. God can't use you while you're in that condition. Get rid of your anger and your bitterness.

Let go in forgiveness. Make yourself ready now to receive the mantle of the Lord. So in conclusion let me ask you what mantles do you have right now? And those that you do have, have you learned to use them correctly? Well what kind of mantles of ability or power do you desire from the Lord? Have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Perhaps you would like to flow prophetically in the revelation gifts and if God gives you words of knowledge and words of wisdom and perhaps discerning of spirits.

Perhaps you'd like to flow more in the power gifts of healing and miracles and faith and see God do miracles and healing people and signs and wonders. Perhaps you'd just like to stand up and speak under the anointing and be so powerful that people love to listen to you and they are blessed as you minister the word. What is it that you desire from the Lord and where do you stand right now? We're going to end in prayer and I'm going to pray for you and I'm going to ask the Lord to show you the things you need to know and I'm going to ask the Lord to give you the things that you have desired of him and I'm going to in the spirit impart what I do have to give and if your heart is open and ready to receive, you must reach out and take it because the Lord will not impose it on you in any way.

I will not try and impose any ministry on anybody but I make myself available to you now Holy Spirit. I put the mantle on that you've given me and now I stand in your glory and in your power and I stand ready to minister to your people in Jesus name. I'm Holy Spirit and anoint me afresh and use me as you choose.

I pray firstly Lord for those that have already received mantles and have neglected them, have left them lying in the cupboard to gather dust as it were instead of using what you've given them and I'm asking for revival power, revival power, revival power to come now. See there are several people in this category. In the past you made yourself available to the Lord, you were on fire for him, you were excited but you grew tired, you grew weary and you got sidetracked.

The Lord wants to rekindle that fire and he wants to bring that mantle back to life. You have not lost it, it's still there. I ask you Lord to open their eyes now and bring revival power now and restore these people that you're showing me.

Restore them back, back, put a new fire in their hearts and a new desire to rise up and to be used by you as they were used in the past. Thank you Jesus. I see there are some that have received a mantle and they're afraid to use it.

You don't know what to expect, you're not sure whether God's going to make you do something you don't want to do or the Lord's going to make you act in an erratic way, maybe show too much emotion because you're not that kind of person and I want to tell you God will never force you to do anything that you don't want to do. But if you'll make yourself available to him, if you will value what he's given you, if you will pick it up and say Lord I make myself available to you afresh, I'm going to take this anointing you gave me and I'm going to use it for the purpose that you gave it. I make myself available to be your instrument of blessing now in Jesus name.

Why don't you do that now? Just a simple choice in your hearts. Here I am Lord, I'm ready to follow through. For those of you that are still young in this, maybe only recently been placed into an office and still not sure what to do with it, let the Lord teach you.

Find those who have been there and ask them how they operate. If you were placed in office by a trainer, ask your trainer to help you to identify and begin to use and function in what God's given you. And for those of you who are already confident in that mantle, the Lord says you don't have to only have that mantle, you don't have to be limited to that ministry, but I'm going to give you afresh and a new mantle and a different kind of ministry and I'm going to use you in a different way to what I've used you in the past.

You desire that? Reach out now and take it. Reach out now. I want you to receive it.

There are mantles that have fallen. They've fallen. Let it fall on you right now.

You'll sense a different anointing to what you've experienced in the past. Something very different and that's a good thing. You don't have to fear it.

The Lord's going to lead you in a new direction now and he's going to add to you. He's not going to take away what you had. He's going to add to you because the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable.

He doesn't take away. Once you've received a mantle, it will never be removed from you while you're alive. And there's those who feel that they got no anointing.

Oh, did you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? And I hear there are those who say, yes, I did, but it was not a very exciting experience really. And I never really have wonderful experiences in the Spirit. Well, the mantle needs to be activated.

I don't like that word, but we're going to activate your mantle now. Okay. I want you to pray and I want you to say, Lord, I make myself available to you now and I take this little mantle of anointing that you've given me, this anointing of your Holy Spirit, as small as what it is.

I ask you to activate it and bring it to life now. And Lord, I desire to be used by you in. I want you to be specific.

You want God to use you in revelation? Do you want him to use you in prophetic ministry? Do you want him to use you in healing, in revelation, in power, in miracles? You tell him, let's activate that mantle of yours and add these gifts to it now. In the name of Jesus right now, Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, activate these mantles now and bring them to life that they begin to glow and shine. And may it be felt.

Even now, as you receive it by faith, you're going to feel something happening to you. You're going to feel the anointing of God. You might just feel a cold shiver down your back.

Different people feel the anointings in different ways. What you're feeling right now is a sign that God is activating that mantle on you right now. Now, just let it go slowly, receive it by faith and begin to praise him and thank him for it.

And then every day now, practice putting on that mantle. And that applies to everybody. Practice putting on the mantles that God's given you.

Come into his presence. See yourself taking that garment and putting it over you. And you say, Lord, here I am.

Use me in this anointing. Then as you go out, take it with you. You'll be amazed the opportunities that God's going to give you to minister.

You'll be amazed at some of the things God's going to show you. You'll be amazed at some of the things God's going to do through you when you pray for others. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. Don't have to be left out. Nobody needs to be left out.

And if God has called you to a higher calling and perhaps you've been kicking against it, perhaps it's time to stop fighting him and to give in and just say, okay, Lord, I'll pay the price. I'm prepared to follow through. Perhaps you should be looking seriously to committing yourself to being trained in some of the higher level ministries.

You've always desired to be a prophet. It's time. It's time to enroll in an official prophetic training.

Thank you, Lord, for your presence and your power. Thank you for your people. Thank you for their heart and their desire to be used by you, Lord.

May you grant each one the desire of their hearts. May you cause them to rise up and be used by you. May they shine as bright lights in this dark world.
