Fresh Attack Against Us
I am ministering tonight in weakness. We have had a difficult week, with much opposition, not only from the enemy but also from people online.
The Lord has been trying to move us into a new place, and clearly the enemy is not happy about this. I have tried to be faithful in putting out a fresh propheticword each day and many of you have said this was a blessing.
But I also have had some who challenged the word and have sought to downgrade my ministry. At the same time we have all be suffering with physical ailments.
Someone challenged the word of using joy to overcome the attack of the enemy. They said that it is not always the enemy that causes problems, but that sometimes it is the Lord that is putting us through a trial.
I believe this is false teaching and challenged it. I suggested she enroll in some of our courses and learn how God really works. This led to an open conflict
and others began to join in to condemn me for taking my stand.
Does God Use Problems to Test Us?
I used to teach that God deals with us and allows problems to bring us to order. But the Lord showed me this is not true at all. Think about someone you know who has turned away from the lord. The Lord does not attack them, but continues to woo them in His love.
There is a scripture that clearly shows God does not test us with evil. Both James and Peter tells us that will face trials
James 1:12 Blessed [is] the man that perseveres under trial [peirazo]: for when he has been approved [dokimazo], he will receive the crown of [zoe] life, which the Lord has promised to those that love him. [GBMV]
1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial [peirazo] which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you: [GBMV]
Now you can see in the GBM version that I include the Greek words involved here. The word for trial is peirazo . There is another greek word also used for trial and it is the word dokimazo. Both are used in the passage above.
Now to understand how God works, consider this verse,
James 1:13 Let no man say when he is being tested[peirazo], I am [being] put under trial by God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He test any man: [GBMV]
James tells us that God never uses peirazo on us. HE only uses the second word - dokimazo. This is usually translated as approved.
Here is the difference between these two words. Peirazo is a kind of test that is designed to expose the weaknesses in something or someone. If a product is made to be strong, it is subjected to stress tests to see how much pressure will eventually make it break. In other words pierazo is designed to expose any weaknesses.
But dokimazo is a test like an examination you write after studying. It is designed to help you qualify so you can be promoted. This test is not designed to make you fail, but it is designed to give you an opporunity to pass.
The Lord never needs to do anything to expose your weaknesess - He already knows them all. But He wants to offer you promotion, so He may bring you to a test with the expectation that you will pass and be qualified.
In the process He may lead you into a situation that predisposes you to attack from the enemy, and you could fail such a test. But He expects you to pass it.
Temptation is a Test From Satan
The word peirazo is often translated as ‘to tempt’ because this is how Satan uses it. He puts suggestions in your mind to persuade you to sin. Then once he knows you have a weakness in that area, he zeroes in on that and increases the attack.
But if you fail to give in to temptation he assumes you are not weak in that area, and he will stop trying to tempt you there. It is a mistake to think, “I will give in just this once and next time I will resist.”
The moment you yield to a temptation you have failed the test, and now he knows your weaknesses, and you will get much stonger temptations.
God Never Tests Like This
God never tests this way. So to say that God causes problems in our lives to test us is wrong. James specically says that.
James 1:13 Let no man say when he is being tested[peirazo], I am [being] put under trial by God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He test any man: [GBMV]
God never peirazo tests us. So to say that God disciplines us through circumstances is very wrong.
God Does Chasten Us
Does God chasten us? Yes He does.
Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives. [GBMV]
Now that word chasten in the Greek has these meanings
AV - chasten, chastise, learn, teach, instruct. God chastens us by rebuking us with words.
Yes, I even used to teach this based on what I learned from Watchman Nee. But then I realiized that God does not chasten us in this way. And I have seen many believers going off in their own sin, and He never causes problems in their lives. But he continues to speak to them with His Word or sends people to them with his Word.
I tried to share the Scripture above with these women and was told it was out of context. But they could provide no clear Scripture to prove what they teach. They were not open to learn the truth, but instead sought to demean my authority as an Apostle.
So I have had to hand them over to the Lord to deal with them. Paul handed people like this over to Satan. So I stopped publishing prophetic words, since I was getting more negatives than positives. And from now on I will only publish them to this group and our mailing list.
But since we have over 1000 followers on Facebook, I thought it would be a good resource to use.
A New Era of Ministry
The Lord had told us that He was moving us into a new era of ministry that did not have the main emphasis on teaching. So I assumed the main emphasis would be on the Prophetic. For years I have functioned as a Moses Apostle - laying a foundation of teaching for the Body.
When I decided to move to an emphasis on Prophetic, I was still functioning as a Moses, since he was both. And actually the Prophetic and Teaching functions together make someone into a full apostle.
But It seems that Lord had something else in mind, when He said he was bringing us into a new era.
A New Sword
During this time of feeling down myself, the Lord gave me a prophetic word via John where He said he has given me a new sword, and that I should stand tall and hold up that sword.
I was not sure at first what they entailed. But as I have waited on the Lord he showed me that as Moses handed over to Joshua, it was time for me to step away from Moses for a season.
I always believed in the past that I should train up someone to become my Joshua. So I tried to do this, starting with my eldest daughter whom I trained up to apostolic office.
Joshua was told to stick with the pattern that Moses laid down, but my Joshua insisted on becoming her own Moses and totally changed the foundation and ministry I had created.
The Joshua Mandate
So when we first came back to South Africa, the Lord told me to stop looking for a Joshua, because Moses failed and had to hand over to Joshua. But He said, I have not failed and it was not necessary.
He told me that instead I should move into the Joshua mandate and teach by example how the Joshua apostle fundtions.
I did a complete course on this which is part of our Apostolic School. And now the Lord has reminded me that I need to move out of Moses and step into Joshua.
There were some main differences between Moses and Joshua. Moses was always opposed by the people and continually falling on His face to the Lord to vindicate him.
God often did this supernaturally. When the Son of Korah stood us against Moses, God caused them to be swallowed up by the earth. And when Miriam and Aaron spoke against him, God judged them and Miriam became a leper.
The Lord has always done this for me in the past - He has vindicated me and dealt with those who stood against me. But Joshua never had that problem. He was a strong leader who stood up tall and took charge.
No More Mr Nice Guy
When he took over from Moses it was no longer “Mr Nice Guy.” As a result the people looked up to him and revered him.
But the main difference between the ministries of Moses and Joshua was in the area of the supernatural. Moses emphasized the gifts of revelation and the prophetic, but Joshua emphasized the gifts of power. He is the apostle of revival and renewal.
Joshua had such power that he could tell the earth to stand still until the battle was over. He took down the walls of Jericho with the power of God. Later, he faced the five kings who are a picture of Satan’s countfeit of the Fivefold MInistry.
Prepare For Revival
So now the Lord told me that the new sword He has given me is the sword of Joshua, and that I need to prepare the people for a move of revival. This started with the crossing of the river jordan into the promised land.
So I am getting ready now to declare as Joshua did to the people,
Joshua 1:10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare your provisions; for within three days you will pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD [Yahweh] your God is giving you to possess it. [GBMV]
This is an area of ministry that I have not fully walked in previously. But the Lord has been preparing me for it some time now. So today I am holding the Sword of Joshua up high, and I am publicly declaring - get ready to see signs and wonders taking place in your life and ministry.
This is going to be my emphasis in ministry from now on. There are some processes that are involved in bringing this to pass. Before they could cross the Jordan the men had to be circumcised, since they did not do this while traveling in the desert.
This means the Lord is going to address some very private areas of your life. And the process is likely to be painful.
I have already taught a lot on Joshua in the school, but now I want to reteach some of the important principles involved in moving out from Egypt to Canaan, and what is involved in taking the new land for the Lord.
I am living these lessons as a teach them, so I cannot present these from my head. But as I live them, I will teach them.
My approach from now on is likely to be much stronger and more aggressive than before. Because I will no longer be a Moses, trying to keep the people happy. And I may at times have to take out the sword to deal with people.
When you see this, understand where I am coming from. But. together we will enter fully into all the God has for us. And tap into that power that lies deep inside us, and manifest His authority and power to the world.
I will still minister prophetically, as Joshua also did. But much of my prophetic ministry is going to move from Prophetic Ministry of motivation and encouragement to Prophetic office level of Prophetic Decree.
And the enemies of this new ministry will fall by the wayside for opposing what God has set in place. I hope you will be ready to follow me now into this new Promised Land the Lord is giving us.
Time To Take The Land
We must take this world for Him now and, like Joshua, put our foot on the land and claim it for Him. And the Lord will give to us the treasures of this new land.
Not for me to build for myself, but that like Joshua, I can divide it amongst the people. That we may all find our place and receive a portion of the blessing of the Lord.
So from now on I am going to be talking a lot about revival. I would like to publish the teachings we gave at our last conference devoted to this subject
And I hope to help build your faith for you to press into this and tap into His power.
I have never been a Joshua before, so i cannot predict how things will happen. But I am confident that the Lord will show the way.
Prophetic Birthing
You can help in this by laying groundwork in prayer for us to be covered by the Lord and led in this. Those who are prophets, should begin to birth this new move in the Spirit.
Let’s come into His presence now and commit ourselves afresh to become part of this new vision.
Ending Prayer
Lord Jesus I have shared with your people the vision that you have given me, and I ask that you will confirm it to them also, and cause a deep core desire to arise in each one to press forward into this new promised land
and be part of this new move.
I hand GBM over to you Lord, to become an instrument in your hands, and I place my life and ministry fully in your hands now. May you be glorified and lifted up, and may you manifest your power and glory through your humble servants and every one who desires to be part of it.
Thank you for these whom you have brought to walk with us on this road now. May you reveal yourself to each one in a more intimate way, and use each one to be an instrument of blessing in your hands. I ask it in Jesus Name.
Thank you for listening and standing with us. I look foward to seeing GBM become a city on hill, brightly lit for all the world to see.
I am confident that He who has begun a good work wil complete it. Knowing that unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain. I am ready to give this my all, and these last years of my life will be dedicated to make it happen.
Together we can suceed, and we will. I hope to get back to preaching from the pulpit again soon, so look out for some new preaching and teaching.
I pray you will all rise up now and take your place.
Have a wonderful week as you wait on the Lord to ask him where you fit in
and we will take this journey together
