Joshua The Groundbreaker - Chapter 19 of 21

Learning to Flow
Now you will have to learn to flow when revival comes, and it will because God will step in. You will have to learn to flow with the river. God will lead.
As you step forward He will step in, and the revival power of God will begin to move and will begin to flow. All you need to do is to keep flowing in the same direction as what the Lord is, and God will back you all the way as you continue to step forward.
You say, "Well we got in there and we beat them."
It is not enough. You have to keep moving and pursuing. You must go until you have conquered all the land. You can't stop. The Children of Israel couldn't stop after Jericho and say,
"Well that's great. We conquered their big city. Let's take a six month break."
You have to keep going and moving forward. You have to keep putting your foot on the land until you have taken all of the land.
Joshua continued pressing on and taking the land. And as they defeated all of these people and defeated these kings and their hosts that came against them, he didn't stop there. He didn't say,
"Well we've dealt with the five kings."
He went on and he took the land they came from. These kings had come from their land with their armies. There were a whole lot of people left behind there.
There were more kings back there. There were more people on those territories that needed to be dealt with, so Joshua pressed on. He kept going and kept moving.
Keep Moving Ahead
I will tell you what happens very often when God begins to move in revival power.
We say, "What we've prayed for has arrived. Hallelujah, let's enjoy it! Let's have a glory hallelujah camp meeting. Let's have meetings continuously. Let's have these wonderful revival meetings and have everybody coming in."
The news gets around that revival has fallen on this church and it has spread far and wide. And people come from everywhere to come and experience this wonderful revival that is taking place.
We stop going forward. We have stopped attacking the world. We don't need to now; we have our revival. We've got what we have been praying for. It has arrived.
You say, "Oh we have such wonderful meetings. We come and have a glorious time. We get filled with the Spirit and fall under the power. We speak in tongues and get drunk in the Spirit.
"Then we go home, and we can't wait to get back to the next meeting where we can go and get drunk again. What a wonderful revival we're having!"
Then one day suddenly it stops and you say,
"Oh gee, it's over. I guess we'll have to find another place where there is revival, so we can go there and get a touch from God."
When God begins to move in revival power, as you step forward in obedience to Him and His Spirit begins to move, it is up to you to maintain that move. And not only that, but to call upon the Lord to perform signs and wonders and miracles.
There are a lot of revival moves that are taking place in the Body of Christ today, that are nothing but a time of pleasure and enjoyment of the presence of the Lord. There is nothing wrong with that. It is a gift of God.
But God has given us His power to perform signs and wonders and miracles and to displace the kingdoms of this world. Are we tapping into His power and making full use of what is available to us?
Are we making sure that this pouring of God's Spirit not only continues but is amplified; that it is increased and reaches the bounds of what God is giving to us?
Don't Let The Sun Go Down
There they were. God had poured down the hailstones and killed the enemy. They were out there conquering. They were in revival, and the next moment the sun started to go down.
You say, "You know every revival only has a limited time. Once it has burnt out and run its course, and God has done what He wanted to here it is over. History shows us that no revival ever lasted indefinitely. It always came to an end.
"The day may burn brightly in the noon day sun, but the time comes when the shadows start to lengthen and the sun starts to go down, and then we know it is time to pack up. It's over. We're going to have to wait for another day and start seeking the Lord again for some new outpouring of revival."
If you are perhaps just an evangelist who has been reliant on the little bit of anointing that you have, perhaps you might accept that. But if you are a Joshua apostle it is not good enough. You say,
"This thing didn't happen by accident. This isn't just a little temporary move of God. This is His mandate for the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"This is what the End Times church is for and it is what we are supposed to be doing. And until we have done the job we are not getting out of here. We are sticking with it through to the end and I don't care what it takes."
Joshua looked up at the sun and he said,
"You're not going down until I'm finished!"
What audacity; what a cheek he had! Who did he think he was?
He was a mere man, and to think that he was so important that God would cause the entire solar system to slow down just for him. He was leading the people of God and there is nothing more important in this world than God's plan for His church.
Don't you dare be complacent and accept that there is limited time for God to move. When you step out in obedience and go and conquer the kingdoms of this world, God will confirm His Word. His revival power will come, and signs and wonders will be available to you if you will dare to trust God for them.
You need to dare to step out and be like some of the early revivalists like Smith Wigglesworth. He was stupid enough to put a dead body against the wall and say,
"Walk!"
Nobody had ever tried that before. They didn't know whether it would work or not. They weren't going to take a chance just in case it wouldn't work. You have to have a fire burning within you.
That was just the power of an evangelist. What kind of power has God given to His End Times apostles? They are the ones who stand up in His authority and power, and lead the church in these End Times in which we live, into the greatest victory and outpouring of the Spirit of God that this world has ever known.
Do Not Accept No
If God has called you to be a Joshua you will be bold enough and arrogant enough if you want to use that word. You will have the audacity to believe that God's power is coming and it is staying until we have the job done. You are not going to accept anything less.
You say, "But what if it's not the will of the Lord?"
"Then you make it His will."
"What?"
The Scripture does not tell us that God spoke to Joshua and said,
"Hey Joshua, would you like me to leave the sun up a little bit longer for you today? Would you like me just to slow things down a little bit so that it takes a bit longer?"
No, the Scripture tells me that Joshua spoke to God and God heeded the word of a man. Why? Because this was a man with another spirit. This was a man who was not taking no for an answer.
He was a man who was not waiting for it to happen. He was going to make it happen, and he was doing it for the sake of the Kingdom of God and for the victory of God's people.
Do you have the heart of the Joshua and do you have what it takes? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines and say,
"Well I'm just an evangelist you know."
Then that is all you will be. God has called you to something higher than just being an evangelist. And yes, as a Joshua you will be carrying out the ministry of an evangelist.
Joshua spoke to the sun and the Scripture says that the sun slowed down. The earth actually slowed down in its rotation.
It didn't stop. It just slowed down, and it took nearly a whole day for the sun to go down. Revival brings signs and wonders and we must make use of that opportunity and that power.
Now what happens when revival comes? What are some of the effects that we will see? 1 John 2:15 and 16 says:
Do not love the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man loves the world, the [agape] love of the Father is not in him.
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of [bios] life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
When God's revival power comes, God begins to deal with the heart of man. He begins to deal with your love and the things that you love; the things that are dear to your heart. He starts to make them ineffective as far as the world is concerned.
The Scripture speaks about us being crucified to the world. We will get to that shortly.
