Moving in Power

How do we keep this thing going? We have come to this place where we have overcome. God's revival power has arrived, but we have to maintain it. We have to maintain this End Times move of God, that is going to take us ultimately and finally to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His spotless Bride.

Reaching Out to the World

We have covered it a bit already. You will have to move from defense to attack. And so as Joshua went and he attacked and dealt with all of the land of the kings, what is this speaking about? It is speaking about,

Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.

It is speaking about continually reaching out to reach every person in this world that does not know Jesus Christ as their Savior. We have to go and conquer this world for the Lord and for His Kingdom, and to win the lost to Him.

It speaks of the greatest evangelistic thrust that this world has ever known and that the Body of Christ has ever been involved in. The Scripture says that they went everywhere preaching the Word. And even when the persecution of Saul came to Jerusalem and caused the church to scatter, it says they went everywhere preaching the Word.

Wherever they went the gospel went with them. They extended out into the earth, and suddenly we see a church springing up there in Antioch. They didn't even have an apostle to do it.

Why was this? It was because Peter had instilled such power into them already right from the Day of Pentecost when he stood up and declared. He moved in such anointing power that his very shadow over people was touching them.

He stirred them up, then he forgot to tell them to go out, so God brought in a new agent. He was a double agent at the time but he didn't know it. His name was Saul of Tarsus and he thought he was working for the world, but he wasn't.

Even while he was killing Christians he was working for God. He was causing the church to scatter throughout the earth to fulfill the great commission that God had given to the early church.

Joshua the Evangelist

Joshua attacked and took the land. The world must be won to Jesus. We must reach the whole world - as many as we can - before Jesus returns, because He is waiting for the full number of His Bride to come in, that He may come and receive her unto Himself.

It is an ongoing process, and it is a strong emphasis in the ministry of the Joshua apostle. The Joshua apostle is continually motivating people, sending them forth and challenging them to get out with the Word. You don't stop until you have taken all the land.

You say, "But surely we are never going to win the whole world to the Lord?"

Well you know Joshua took the whole land and there were still enemies that weren't defeated. Yes we are not going to reach the whole world for the Lord, but the Scripture says that this gospel will be preached in every nation.

There will not be a place in this world that the gospel has not penetrated. And yes not everybody will receive the gospel. Not everybody will be saved, but everybody will hear.

Everybody will be subjected to the powers of the age to come and will see the signs and wonders that God is performing in His church. But only if you succeed as a Joshua apostle in leading the church of Christ. In sending them forth to go and take the whole land, to go and take the kingdoms of this world for the Lord and for His Kingdom.

That is what revival is about. That is what it is for. It is to equip us to win this world for the Lord, to bring this world into subjection to the Kingdom of God.

How do we do it? By the power of the Spirit and the power of His Word. We don't do it with fleshly weapons, but with spiritual weapons because the Scripture says,

(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

It is to change the hearts and the minds of people; to cause them to think like children of the living God.

Battle Against Satan

Joshua finally completed the job, and conquered not only the kings, but all of their lands in all of their realm of influence, and the battle was won. Then he came home again to Gilgal.

We say, "Hallelujah, we've done it! We have preached the gospel in every nation. We can count them - this nation, that nation, that nation. We have reached the world and preached to every single person out there. They have all heard the word."

Or so we think, but I am afraid not. There were enemies that were not yet dealt with, and the Scripture tells us that there came another accumulation of hosts under another bunch of kings.

This time they made the battle of the five kings look like a picnic. Joshua 11:4 describes it and says:

And they went out, they and all their armies with them, many people, vast in number like the sand that [is] upon the sea shore, with exceedingly large numbers of horses and chariots.

What is this speaking about? It is speaking about an enemy that is not the powers of this world. We are speaking about an enemy that is far more vast even than the countries of this world and the nations of this world. We are speaking about the kingdom of darkness.

Satan will realize that he cannot fight using the weapons of this world. When through the power of God we have disabled his instruments in this world by rising up as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and authority, there will come one final attack. The hosts of darkness will be gathered together against the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

No Fear

But do you know something? God's people will know who they are and what they are. They will know who they are in Christ Jesus. And the one thing they do not need to do is fear. God spoke to Joshua and said,

"Don't be afraid; fear not."

Fear is the only weapon that Satan has. That is it.

You say, "But look at them. There are millions of them! They are like the sands of the sea. I mean I could be chopping off heads all day. We don't stand much hope that they will not keep coming."

It is a lie and you say,

"Lord you've got to do something here. Lord, you helped us before. Are you going to drop down some hailstones again?"

But you can't kill demons that way. Jesus already conquered the kingdom of darkness on the cross of Calvary. He already took away his power. He said to Joshua,

"Don't you fear. Go out there and you will slaughter them. You will overcome every one of them and will wipe them out without a problem."

This time the armies of God go forth in the power. Why? It is because the revival power has come and has stayed. And they have followed it through and have grown in the power of God. They have grown in the authority of God.

They are grounded in the Word of God. They know the weapons of their warfare. They know the power of their God, they know the authority that they have and they are not going to tolerate this.

They are not going to sit around waiting. They will get out there and attack and wipe them out.

That is exactly what Joshua did. You see this one is different. The church of God will rise up and Satan will launch a final attack against the church of the Lord Jesus Christ; against the revived End Times church.

He will launch his attack. And it is up to the Joshua apostles who have once more mobilized the church in spiritual warfare, to rise up and to lead God's people to attack and to overcome the kingdom of darkness. They will overcome not Pharaoh and his hosts, but Apollyon and his hosts - the general of Satan's armies.

Joshua slaughtered them. He conquered every single one of them. And as they went out in faith they won the battle on their own. God didn't have to do a thing. He had already given them His authority and His power. All they needed to do was to go out and act like Him and set the enemy to flight.

Joshua Leads the Warfare

If God has called you to be a Joshua apostle then your mandate is to displace the power of this World System from the hearts of God's people. It is to mobilize the Body of Christ to rise up and to conquer, and to overcome the powers of this world. And having overcome the powers of this world, it is to also overcome the powers of the kingdom of darkness.

You are to lead them in warfare in this flesh of this world and in the spirit. Together they will rise up in power, conquering and reigning over the kingdoms of this world, conquering and destroying the kingdom of darkness and displacing it. Then you will cause God's people to take the land.

How can you do this? You can only do it by bringing God's people into His power. By causing God's people to rise up and go forward, and to take hold of the power of Almighty God which is being offered to His church. Jesus said,

Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. And these signs shall follow those that believe. In my name they will cast out demons. They will speak with new tongues. They will take up serpents and it will not harm them. They will drink something deadly and it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.

Signs and wonders will take place at the hands of God's people when they go forth in obedience and boldness. God's power will come down, and He will revive His church and take His church even beyond into greater measure than what it has ever known.

It will lead to an outpouring of revival such as this world has never seen. And when it is over there will come a time of rest. Only then will that rest come, where finally having conquered all, we will enter into the glory of the Lord and experience the wonderful blessing that He has.

Moving in Power

So when does the rest begin? It begins when you learn to move in His power. It is easy to move in power. If something small and weak is in front of you and you have power, you just walk over it. You just push it out of the way.

There is nothing that can stand against you. There is nothing that can resist you. And when you begin to move into God's power and rise up and become what He says you are; when you rise up and take what He says you have, the church of God will rise up and conquer.

It will be like what Paul speaks about in the book of Ephesians where he says,

"We are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And then knowing that we are seated and knowing that we are victorious we begin to walk. And as we begin to walk we come in confrontation with the enemy, and we stand against him and he has to flee."

Joshua Apostle you have to bring God's people to the place of rest where they know their position in Christ. They know their inheritance and they know what is theirs, and they will stand boldly and say,

"Oh no, don't you dare!"

The kingdoms of this world will come and spout off all their brilliant ideas of fear. And the powers of this world will try and bring the church of God into a place of bondage. But they will stand up and say,

"Oh no you don't!"

And by the power of the Spirit and the authority that God has placed in them, they will go forth and conquer. They will transform the kingdoms of this world into the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ.

Then there will be a Bride dressed in spotless white, having a garment without spot or wrinkle, ready and waiting for her Bridegroom to come and take her away.

That is your mandate if God has called you to be a Joshua Apostle.
