Tonight I would like to discuss God’s 12 Step Program for answering our prayers.

I taught this in a book entitled Making Your Dream Come True, which is a published book. However, because of the many needs you all expressed in our study last week, I have decided to make the ebook available freely online for everyone.

One of the main chapters is called God’s 12-Step Program, which we will discuss tonight. This is a series of steps any believer can take to apply the principles taught in The Way of Blessing, which is also available freely online.

The Lord brought us back from Mexico to our homeland to set up a model church here, but this has never materialized.

We are ministering to folks around the world, but our own homeland is not being reached

This will then also lead to us holding seminars again where folks can fly in to attend from around the world

I will be doing a lot more preaching into camera also soon

The Lord provided for us to renew all our sound and recording equipment so we can produce better videos

I also want to record many new songs as well as our old songs so everyone can learn them and use them in their own meetings if they wish

But let’s get into tonights study shall we?

Last week, when I asked who had needs, it was clear that many of you are still struggling with some of your needs. Some need a financial miracle, others are struggling with their health

And most of us need some new friends, contacts or relationships

We are facing our own struggles here personally with health, from the moment the Lord told us to move more into the supernatural and miracles

Sometimes it is easier to pray for others for healing than to believe for it yourself

So we are learning both of these in order to help those who need to learn how

As I thought about it, the Lord once again reminded me of the powerful teachings of the Way of Blessing

And I also remembered that put together a book that includes ways of applying those principles practically in our lives

So I thought I would take that as a path for us to follow in the next while

I have laid it all out in this book, so if you read it you will get all the main principles involved

But I want to cover them in more detail, which I can do here each week on this chat

So we will start tonight by looking at God’s 12 Step Program

It is much better than the 12 step programs offered by organizations such as Alcoholic Anonymous

Applying The Way of Blessing Principles

It will help you to apply the principles of the Way of Blessing to your own life and begin to see the possibility for your dreams to come true

So lets get into that right away and see how far we can get tonight

Then I will continue each week until we have covered everything in detail

That way you can begin to live the lessons as we go and we can answer any questions and difficulties you had along th way

So here then are the 12 steps you need to follow

I will give you all of them up front, then we can discuss each one ok?

1. Make a Decision of What You Want from God

Now I want to make one thing clear right at the start

I did not say you should see what you need

The Lord knows your needs and has already provided a way for you to get them met

But when it comes to our desires, this is a different thin

Many legalistic believers are of the opinion that God provides our needs, not our greeds

But if you are a parent you should know that your children do not get excited about having their needs met

Your child may greatly desire a toy or something they saw in the shops

But you tell them that there is only money for food and essentials

But imagine if you had the money to buy them the things they desire?

Would you not as a parent want to get it for them and see the look of joy on their face when you give it to them as a gift?

Our heavenly father is even more loving than us and He wants to bless us with everything that excites us

Yes, there are some things that are bad for us, but that is not what I am talking about

If I see a new model of my favorite car and desire to get a new one, is this wrong?

If I need to newer better phone or computer is this wrong?

If I need an appliance to make life easier is this wrong?

If I desire a life companion who I can live with intimately is this wrong?

No, these are all things that God created and when He originally created them, He called them good

So when you sit down to make a list of the things you desire, do not let the enemy short change you to ask for something less than what you desire

The Lord told me once that if I desire something and there are several options available, I should not be moved by the cost or availability. He said He desires me to always get the best

That is why we have now upgraded our electronic equipment to produce the best resources for ministry

So when you make your list, do not sit and think, “I wonder if the Lord wants me to have this?”

Write down the things you desire, with those you desire most at the top of the list

This first step is one of the most important because it will decide what you get in the end

The Lord is not going to force on you what you did not desire

If you are happy with something less, then that is fine - it is easier to believe for that. But is this what would make you happiest?

So do something like this

Imagine you have a wealthy relative who tells you he will provide all the money you need to buy whatever you want?

Would you try to save money by buying the cheap junk?

Come on, if someone invites you to a meal and offers to pay for it, do you order the cheapest item on the menu?

No, I look for the largest steak or seafood that I could never normally afford to get

The Lord delights in giving us far beyond what we need

In fact he refuses to provide only our needs

He always provides the best

So if you need finances, do not be afraid to ask big

If you need good health do not be satisfied with just good enough

If you desire a spouse, aim higher than anyone of the opposite sex

He never gives bad gifts

and He will provide according to your desires

Of course, there are conditions involved, but once you know those you can fulfill them

Are you hoping you can raise enough money to get a slightly better car?

Why not go and look at the kind of car you always dreamed of having and then start dreaming of having that car - see yourself driving it

if you cannot get excited about what you are asking, how can you expect God to get excited about it

But many of us grow up with a poverty mentality

The rich do not have this problem

They grow up in a rich home and then aim for the best

And they get it, because they will not accept less

Well your Dad is the highest person in the universe an owns everything

So why are you ready to settle for less, as though this makes you more spiritual?

I find sometimes that we have a financial need and I come to the Lord to say how much we need

But most of the time, when I do that, He tells me to ask for more

I might think asking for 1000 is a lot, but he says, “Ask for 5000”

And I have learned that when I do this, he usually provides the larger amount

How do I get this? Well there are 11 more steps to go

So start by writing down a list of everything you would get if it was within your reach

Then, once you have done that, you will turn this list into a confession of faith

I will show you how to do that in due course

I want to tell you that the principles I am teaching you are things that I have proved practically many times. They work

Ok so now you have had the courage to say what you really want. Sure the Lord knows this already, but He wants you to be specific before you ask

I have often used this as an illustration

If one of my children comes to me and asks, “Dad can you give us some money?”

I would like to know how much money they need or desire

If they say, “Well you can decide and we will be happy with whatever you give us”

Suppose I tossed then quarter or a nickel

They would probably say, “Oh gee is that all?\"

And I would reply, “Well you said whatever I want\"

No, you must be very specific in what you want before you bring that to the Lord

Otherwise you will never know if He answered fully

If I ask for 1000 and only 100 comes in, I rejoice, because it is a sign something is happening

But then I wait for the other 900 to manifest

Ok that is enough on step 1 then

I hope you understand what is involved, because if you get this step wrong you cannot change it later

Here then is step 2

2. Get into the Word

How do you know if it is God’s will for you to have what you are asking for?

Can you find a Scripture that says, “The Lord wants you to have a new BMW>”

not likely

But there are lots of other Scriptures that do fulfill that desire

How about this one

Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD [Yahweh]; and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD [Yahweh]; trust also in him; and he will bring [it] to pass. [GBMV]

Here are some of my favorite Scripture promises

John 15:7 If you remain in me, and my [rhema] words remain in you, you may ask for yourself whatever you desire, and it will be done for you [GBMV]

Psalms 45:12 And the daughter of Tyre [will be there] with a gift; the rich among the people will entreat your favor. [GBMV]

If you can find a Scripture on which to base your faith for any answer, then write it down and try to memorize it

And speak it over and over again

You can start by muttering it to yourself under your breath

I heard a preacher share something recently I had never heard before

He said that there three levels of meditation

The first is when you mutter it to yourself and nobody else hears it

The second is when you begin to speak it out loud - in the form of a confession

The third, he called The roar

That is when you shout it loud as a decree and command it to come to you

We teach the principle of bulldozing where you take a Scripture promise and repeat it over and over

Until it begin to build up a charge inside you

you can increase this by praying in tongues between speaking the Scripture

and then when the power build up, you release it into the earth as a decree

This is the roar

Now the third step is one that is often misunderstood, along with step 4

3. Wait on God for the answer

For most folks they wait on God until their prayer is answered and manifests

But this is not the way you should approach it

Imagine a child comes to the parent and asks for something

“Dad can you buy me a new bicyle”

When is this desire answered?

Now it is possible that the parent may get it as a surprise

But I will tell you what is going to happen first

Dad is going to reply to the child with words

He may say something like this:

“I would love to buy you a new bicyle but we cannot afford it right now, so you will have to wait”

“You do not need a new bicyle, so stop asking for it”

Or the faither may say, “Yes sure, I will buy you a new bicycle”

At this point, has the father answered the child’s request?

Well the answer is both yes and no

Yes, he has agreed to get it, but no, he has not yet got it

Now this is the way God tends to work with us

We need to pray until we get an answer from Him

And the answer is not necessarily the manifestation of wht we asked for

The answer you are looking for is simply, “Yes I have heard and will do it”

Once you hear that, do you keep asking and naggin?

So, because technically you now have your new b=ike

This is where most of us miss it

We keep asking and nagging the LORD until the thing appears

If God already promised you this thing in His word He has every intention of bringing it to you

But He has many different ways of doing this

And we should never try to figure out what He will use

But you should now see that you began by asking for something that comes in the future

But the moment He says yes, it now becomes the past

I asked the Lord for this thing, and on Monday 10 February 2025 He said yes

So when did I get it?

I got it today

But it has not yet manifested

But I stop asking for it and I move on to the next of the 12 steps

Here is the next step

4. See Him giving you the answer

I have found that the best way to apply this is to see Him giving me that thing I asked for

He holds in his hands the keys to my new car and gives it to me

I see the car parked outside

But since He is heaven, my car is parked there no down on this earth

So I need to start working on bringing it down from heaven

This is what the following steps do

You now know that it is yours - He said yes, so the nest step is

5. Knowing that it is yours - the rhema word

you receive what is known as a rhema word

This is an inner assurance that your prayer is answered

As I said, it is waiting there for you with God in the heavenly realm

It is now up to you to arrange for the transport of bringing it from the heavenly realm to earth

So here is the next step

6. Transmute it down

What does it mean to transmute?

It means to convert it from spiritual essence into something real and tangible

Whether it is finance, good health or a. relationship the same principle applies

Now how do you transmute something from the spiritual realm into the physical realm?

you do it by using what you already have - a spirit, soul and body

your spirit is in contact with the heavenly realm

Your body is contact with this physical realm

and lying between the two is your soul with your mind, emotions and will

Whatever God gives you from the spirit realm must be transferred from your spirit to your body through the soul

So it is important that your soul has a channel through which it can pass

I call this a spiritual template

and unless you can see this in your mind, feel it in your emotions and act on it, your soul remain in active

So you may need to work on your soul to facilitate the transfer

I teach you how to do this in the Way of Blessing Book

The next step is 7. Build a spiritual template

Now let me tell what will happen the moment you begin to apply these steps

you are going to cause a ruckus in the demonic realm

You see, Satan is in control of this world and he wants to make sure you do not receive this blessing

So he will attack your mind, emotions and will to block the transfer

So we come to step 8

8. Bind the Forces of Darkness

You have authority in the name of Jesus so you must resist these demon powers and bind their power using the authority you have as a believer

There are several levels of demon powers at work and you may need to deal with each level separately

Also involved in this is the subject of curses, which we teach in the Way of Blessing

As you apply all of these steps, you will eventually see the thing that you desired begin to manifest in this world

I like to think of it happening like in the movie Star Trek where they would beam people from one place to another

The whole process is also very much like giving birth, and I have a full teaching in the Way of Blessing on the birthing process

This means that it takes a lot more effort to birth something big than something small

Smaller animals like cats can produce a new litter in a matter of weeks

Human takes 9 months

And elephants can take years

so before you try to birth an elephant, you should try to birth something smaller

Do you have enough faith to believe for a new pen?

If not, then do not try to birth a car

So start small in applying these steps

Start by asking for something that is not that big

and see how it all pans out and eventually manifests

Do not ask for 10,000 until you have learned to get 100

We found when the Lord first taught us the principles of the Way of Blessing and we were in Mexico living by faith, we need to believe for our needs and enouhg money to run the ministry

It took us a while to believe for someone to give us $1000 or for us to get that in selling books

But once we had done this a few times, we found ourselves asking for 2000. then 5000

You see, your faith is like a muscle that grows when you use it

Well I think I have given you enough steps to keep you busy for a while

Why not go back and read all the principles in the Way of blessing, and then also Making Your Dream Come True

Then sit down and make a list of all your desires

Put the biggest ones first - those that I call core desires

Go try it out this week and then come back next week and tell us how it went

I want you to know that since the Lord taught us these principles we have lived by them for over 30 years

they worked back then and they still work
