Philippians 3:7 But the things that were assets to me, those I counted losses for Christ.
8 I would rather consider everything just losses for the superiority of the full knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of everything, and consider them junk, that I may gain Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness that is from God by faith:
10 That I may [come to] know him [intimately], and the [dynamic] power of his resurrection, and the joint participation in his sufferings, experiencing a similar pattern to his death; [GBMV]

Getting to Know Jesus

We recently started a new school called the School of the Supernatural. And our purpose is to help God's people move into a greater experience of the supernatural power of God and to begin to experience the Lord in a more supernatural way.

To tap into the power that is available to us as believers, to rise up, and to do great exploits for the Lord using his power. As I have been going through the course, and here in headquarters, we've been actually holding a live class, going through the lectures, and discussing them. Along the way, I've been adding a few things to them.

Our experience has begun to expand and increase. During some of our prayer times, God's glory came down upon me in such a powerful way that I felt I was being surrounded by a cloud of his glory and lifted up into the heavenly realm. It's been a wonderful experience.

As the Lord's begun to bring us back into music, we've entered into a new dimension in music, and we will be sharing that in due course. Now, through the years, as I've grown in the Lord, I've experienced Him in many different ways and at many different levels.

The first and clearest supernatural experience I had was when Jesus first appeared to me in a vision many years ago. He manifested himself fully to me and revealed his love to me. And I've taught that in many different places.

It was a wonderful experience getting to know Jesus as the Comforter, the one who cares, the best friend. He is the lover who will be there for you all the time, will never condemn you, and will always encourage and lift you up.

Another Side of Jesus

But as I progressed and began to move towards more of a manifestation of the power of God and to begin to see God work in the power gifts, I realized that I needed to come to know Jesus in a different way.

I came to know him, not as the loving, tender Jesus who walked this earth, which the Comforter presents to us, but I started to get to know him as the glorious Christ. The One who's now risen and ascended and seated on the right hand of the Father and filled with power and glory.

It was wonderful to experience some of these things in a more powerful way than before. And it got so exciting that I couldn't wait to come into his presence and to have prayer times and worship times and to begin to just have a fresh touch of that glory.

So I got in high, and for a while, it was great. And then, suddenly, it just seemed to fade. And as I tried to come into his presence, it just wasn't the same anymore. I came to pray and did the same things I did before, but it just didn't seem to be working anymore.

I thought, what's going on? Did I sin somewhere? Did I miss it? Did I fail the Lord? Why am I not experiencing these awesome things anymore? Have you been there?

I felt blocked like I couldn't get through. Well, one thing I've always been able to do is journal and have a conversation with the Lord. I hear His words of wisdom speaking to me, giving me direction, teaching me, and telling me which way to go.

And so I came into his presence, and I said, Lord, what's going on? What went wrong? Where have you gone? Where has your power gone? Why am I no longer experiencing such an awesome glory of your presence?

Recognizing The Giver, Not The Gifts

The Lord never rebukes us, but he has to point out our failures. And what He said to me, hit me right here. He said you've been so taken up with the gifts and the experiences that you took your eyes off Me.

You have become so preoccupied with the gifts that you forgot the giver. That hit me like a ton of bricks. Guilty as charged. You see, when we have the giver, the gifts come automatically.

I want to speak today about getting to know Jesus because Jesus is the key. I have a set of Ps that I've preached on many times and in different contexts. I love alliteration, and I'm going to use them again now.

Main Principles - Jesus Is Our Access

They are the Principles, the Presence, and the Power. I'm not going to give you a long lesson on this; I just want to explain the principles to you. The main principle we need to know is that Jesus is our only access to the Father.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the [zoe] life: no man comes to the Father, except through me. [GBMV]

The only access we have to God is through Jesus because he is our mediator.

1 Timothy 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus; [GBMV]

If you want to access the Father, you have to go through Jesus. Sometimes, we put Jesus down at the bottom, and we come and talk directly to the Father.

“Father, we pray in the name of the little guy Jesus down there—your son. “

Well, that's not unscriptural, but where is your thinking as you do that? You see the Father at the highest and Jesus a little lower. I'm going to show you shortly that many people make that mistake and have a misunderstanding of the trinity.

Jesus is not only our access to the Father; he's also the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. So if you're looking for an experience with the Holy Spirit, you cannot say,

“Well, there's the Father, there's Jesus. Now let's come to the Holy Spirit and invite him to move upon us and to anoint us and to give us the gifts.”

In Acts 2, after the Holy Ghost had descended and Peter stood up to preach, he explained to the people what had just happened.

Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has shed forth this, which you now see and hear. [GBMV]

Well, what were they seeing and hearing? They saw the effect of the baptism of the Holy Spirit that took place the very first time on the day of Pentecost. Jesus is seated on the throne of heaven.

Only One Throne

Most people seem to think that we have two thrones there. We have the Father sitting on His throne, and on the right side, there's another throne. And that's where Jesus is sitting. But there's only one throne, folks.

When the Bible speaks about the right hand of God, it's not speaking about a physical location. It's speaking about the place of full authority and power and the name of Jesus is the name above every other name.

Well, is the name of Jesus higher than the name of God? The name of Jesus is the name of God. The name Lord Jesus Christ is the only name that the Scripture recognizes, and there's salvation in no other. Isn't that what the Word says?

Those are the principles, and we can do tons of studies. I've done many, and I find people are still confused about understanding God. So, I'm not going to major on it today, but let's look at the presence.

The Presence Of God

How do we experience God’s presence? Well, the scriptures tell us way back in the Old Testament that in his presence, there's fully satisfied joy.

Psalms 16:11 You will make known to me the way to revival: in your presence, there is a joy that fully satisfies; at your right hand there are pleasures that last forever. [GBMV]

At his right hand—who's at the right hand? Jesus. At his right hand, there are pleasures that last forever. So, if you want to have these experiences of his presence, where are you going to get it?

Only in Jesus. He's our only access to God. I love my experiences with Jesus as the Comforter. It's an essential part of prophetic training, and for those who are going through training as a prophet, this is one of the most essential things that you should be doing.

Jesus comes to reveal God's love, and every prophet needs to know God's love. Otherwise, they will start making judgmental prophecies. Every prophet must have an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus as the Comforter.

Every prophet who is destined for higher things must, by necessity, have that experience with the Lord. They cannot function in their calling without it. He is the source of love, and I've shared how He revealed that to me.

When you are walking with the Comforter, you sense this overwhelming love that never ever has any condemnation whatsoever. You need to understand that love, and you need to walk in that love before you can ever move into the higher power.

Paul said, if you want to be used in the gifts, follow after love, then desire passionately the spiritual gifts. Love is the foundation. So our relationship with Jesus, the loving, tender Jesus as the Comforter, is an essential part of our spiritual life.

The Authority Of The Name

Jesus is the source of authority. He carries the name that is above every other name, and the Scripture says that in the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow. It tells us to use the name and that everything that we do must be done in the name.

Some people blithely go around spouting in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Even the devil can do that. But it's not the words you speak.

Before you can use the authority of the Name, you must become the Name.

Jesus must live his life in and through you so that you become a re-manifestation of Jesus on earth. Then you can stand in His name, and then you have authority.

That is why the prophet needs to have that relationship with Jesus in order to take the key that is given, which gives the prophet authority to bind and release, to open and close, to lock and unlock.

The Power

We have the principles and presence, but what about the power? I wanted the power, but I'd developed my relationship with Jesus as the Comforter, and I knew my authority.

When I received the prophet's golden key, I took it and used it, using its authority. But when I looked back in the Old Testament, I saw that prophets like Elijah and Elisha did far more than that.

They also asserted God's power and performed signs, wonders, and miracles. I found that I lacked these things, and the Lord showed me that I needed more than a relationship with the tender, loving Jesus, who is represented to us as the Comforter.

I needed a relationship now with the Christ who has ascended, is risen, and is seated on the throne of heaven. I needed to come to know the glorified Christ in the same way that I'd come to know him as the Comforter.

But where do we find him? I was used to seeing Jesus appear and we'd sit together and we'd chat person to person, face to face, friend to friend. The Apostle John knew Jesus in such a very intimate way. He was always lying on his chest.

The Glorified Christ

But one day, John met the glorified ascended Christ, who appeared to him in a vision. John couldn't stand it, and he fell to the ground. The same Christ appeared to Paul on the road to Damascus, and he also fell to the ground. There's something different about Christ in his glorified condition.

You see, Jesus was always the glorified God. He was the image of the invisible God who manifested to everybody in the Old Testament. Anyone who ever saw God or interacted with God did it via a manifestation of God.

In the Old Testament, this was called a theophany, where God appeared in a physical form. Jesus was also known as the Word, the Logos, who took upon himself flesh and was born as a baby in Bethlehem. Jesus was always glorified, but He put aside his glory to take upon Himself human flesh.

Just before He went to the cross and He was ready to go back to the Father, Jesus prayed to the Father. And He said,

“Father, glorify me now with the glory that I had with you before the world began.”

The Comforter reveals to us the tender, loving Jesus that walked this earth. But the glorified Christ has ascended back to the Father and taken upon himself now the original glory that He had.

He now carries authority in all realms, in heaven and earth, above and below the earth, and everywhere. He is the King. So, if you want to know his power and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is the beginning of power, you must look to the glorified Christ.

Because from the throne of heaven, he poured that down upon His disciples on the day of Pentecost. Where do we find him now? Where do we find that throne room where he sits on the throne, and how do we get to it?

The writer of the Hebrews gives us a hint. It says we can come boldly to the Throne of Grace. If you want to come into the presence of the Father, you'll have to come without sin, and because of the blood of Calvary and because of his grace, we come to the Father.

The Throne Room of Jesus

We come via the risen Christ, who is seated on the throne of heaven. And when you come into his throne room, you'll see something far more powerful than your experience with the Comforter. You will experience a manifestation of the glory and the power that is manifest in Him as the glorified Christ.

It's a wonderful experience and it took me some time to come to this experience. I was holding on to my first experience with Jesus as the Comforter.

To me, that was Jesus, and if I wanted the power of the Holy Spirit, I should now leave Jesus and come to the third person of the Trinity, which is the Holy Spirit. I should say,

“Holy Spirit, would you anoint me? Holy Spirit, I would like to get to know you.“

How do you develop a relationship with somebody that has no form? And again, you're making the mistake of thinking that you can approach any member of the Trinity outside of Christ. He's the only access to the Father and he is the only access to the Holy Spirit.

So I came boldly into his throne room. There, he was seated on his throne, and around him, there were worshippers who were worshipping him. I came in and joined them in worship. He looked out and saw me, and he pointed to me. As he pointed to me, I felt a fresh touch of his power come upon me.

I teach on the mantles of God and how a mantle needs to be ignited in the throne room of the risen Christ. This was my first experience of it. Here is the source of the external power.

Keys To Glory

There is a lecture in our schools called “Keys to Glory.” It teaches how God's glory is manifest in the face of Jesus Christ. We cannot experience His glory or His power without coming to Jesus, the glorified Christ.

But here is where the danger begins to come, and that's when we try to split the Trinity. We think that we're going to go to each one separately. When you get down to praying, you think, who should I be praying to?

The Father is the highest one, so I think He'd be offended if I prayed to Jesus, right? What about the poor Holy Spirit? He's always the third guy who's down at the bottom and gets left out.

Shouldn't I be praying to the Holy Spirit? Who do you pray to when you come? Most people are comfortable saying, Father. Can you see the Father? Well, I can imagine an old man, perhaps, but the Scripture says no man has seen God at any time. We don't have an image of the Father.

What does the Holy Spirit look like? A spirit has no form, the scripture teaches. So how can I enter into a personal relationship with either the Father or the Holy Spirit? There's only one image I have and it's the original image that God gave and Jesus is known as the image of the invisible God and in him the scripture says dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. If I want to reach the Father I come to Jesus and he introduces me to the Father.

If I want to experience the power of the Holy Spirit I come to Jesus and he baptizes me. Now the scripture says in the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established. I'm going to give you a second scripture which shows that Jesus is the baptizer, the Holy Spirit and actually it comes from before he was even crucified.

Luke chapter 3 in verse 16 John the Baptist speaking to the people who thought he was the Christ. He said to them I indeed baptize you with water but one mightier than eyes coming the latchet of whose shoes I'm not worthy to unloose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

You want more fire? You're only going to get in one place. Now here's where the confusion comes. The glorified Christ took upon himself the form of a servant and became closed in humanity.

In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God but the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. Jesus was both man and God combined together as one but they were not the same. Jesus as man had different aspects to Jesus as God.

For example as a man Jesus prayed to God. Oh that's a bit stupid isn't it? If Jesus was God why was he praying to himself? But as God Jesus answers prayer. Oh now that's a bit confusing.

As a man he said the father is greater than I. The doctrine of the trinity says that one is not greater than the other. They are co-equal and co-eternal. When one of his disciples Philip said Lord show us the father Jesus said to him Philip don't you know me? If you have seen me you have seen the father because the father is living in me and he's the one who's doing the works.

Now the humanity of Jesus is revealed through the comforter and it comes to us via what we call the internal anointing. The divinity of Jesus is revealed through the glorified Christ and we call that the external anointing. You see the Holy Spirit manifests and reveals Jesus, the human Jesus, Jesus the glorified Jesus and the father are all contained together because they are one.

Now when you get to know Jesus intimately as a friend and lover and you learn his authority as you begin to move into spiritual experiences and ministry you begin to realize that there are keys that become available to you. More than one. In Matthew 16 19 Jesus says and I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you will loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Well if you've been trained as a prophet and qualified for prophetic office you were given at least one key, sometimes two. The golden key and the silver key is a key for the apostle, is actually a key for the evangelist. In fact all of the ministries have keys.

There are many different kinds of keys and that key always speaks of authority. Or what about power? Sometimes authority falls short when that authority is questioned by a strong power and I've used the illustration of a traffic officer standing up to tell a big truck to stop. He has authority but he doesn't have the power to stop that truck if it chooses not to stop.

We need power and power in the scriptures and power in spiritual experience is often symbolized by a sword. You see a key allows you to lock and unlock, a sword allows you to impose and attack and use ability that you've been given. Or where does the sword come from? The sword comes from the ascended Christ who gives us power.

Right? That I may know him, Paul said, intimately. See that's getting to know the comforter and the power of his resurrection, that's getting to know the glorified Christ. But there's a price to pay for it folks because the third one said that I may know and partake in the fellowship of his sufferings.

What did Jesus experience as a result of the power that he carried? He was attacked by the enemy from the moment that the dove of the Holy Spirit came upon him. He went into the wilderness and was tested and attacked for 40 days by Lucifer himself. You try to move into the power of God, don't expect Satan to sit by and say that's nice.

He's going to put a mark on you. Your name's going to become known in the realm of darkness because you have become a threat, because you have power now to add to your authority. But that's not fair.

Doesn't God now allow me to dispense with these things? Not only will Satan attack you, but this whole world system who is under the control of Satan is going to attack you too. People are going to hate you just because of who you are. People are going to oppose you and ostracize you and put you down and humiliate you.

Sometimes goes fast taking you to court because of the power of God it's manifest on you. How do we respond to this? We cry out and say Lord it's not fair. Lord it's not fair.

I gave you my all. I tried to serve you and look what's happened Lord. Paul described his as a thorn in the flesh and no it wasn't the sickness.

It was the message of Satan that was sent to buffet him he said. And he cried out to the Lord three times and said the Lord deliver me from this. The Lord gave Paul one message Deuteronomy 12 verse 9 and he said to me my grace is sufficient for you for my strength is brought to fullness through weakness.

Paul's conclusion most gladly therefore will I rather boast in my weaknesses that the power of Christ may reside upon me. Oh we can become so strong in ourselves can't we? Just look at me. I've got the authority.

I bind you. I loose you. I can do whatever I please.

You prophets who are looking forward to getting the key you'll find out that before you can get that key you're going to go through many deaths and come to the end of yourself and lose all of your selfish orientation to think that you can take that power and use it for yourself. It was the first temptation that Satan brought to Jesus to use the power for himself. Now that's not even full power it's just the authority.

How much more when you get that soul of power to add to it you're going to be attacked by the enemy. Get ready for it because it's coming. Do you know what he's given us his grace to overcome it and when we are weak in ourselves we become stronger in him and Satan cannot touch us.

He cannot touch us. Satan couldn't touch Jesus until he was allowed to. Right in the first day when Jesus stood up and announced himself as the fulfillment of the prophecy from Isaiah they got so angry at him they wanted to go and throw him off a cliff.

But they couldn't touch him. He stood there and just looked at them and walked through them. They couldn't touch him.

Jesus always used this term my time has not yet come. He was protected until he opened himself to the attack to take the full brunt of our sins on Calvary. Well you know Jesus has already done that.

You do not have to do that. You do not have to suffer the attack of Satan. You will be covered and protected and God has promised that he will never allow you to be tested beyond your capabilities.

He'll always give you a way to escape. He'll give you the power to overcome it. I don't think it's just going to go away.

It's going to be there forever. There's a group of people out there teaching something known as the seven mountain mandate which sounds oh so spiritual and even sounds a bit scriptural but it's not. The idea is that we are going to take the mountains and control this world and that we will take authority over this world and rule and reign over it.

And when Jesus returns we'll hand over to him a world that we have already subdued in his name granted. Sounds great hey? America just had a president who took a stand and claimed to be a believer and I believe he was genuine in his attempts. And the entire body of Christ reveled in the possibility that finally we have somebody to take the mountain of politics this was God's chosen one finally one of the major seven mountains has been taken and every prophet out there prophesied that he would continue a second term would come in with a landslide because their hope was in a man who made it to one of the seven mountains and now that it's all over they're still holding on to that hope and that promise.

Listen if you've been exposed to the seven mountain teaching throw it away. Yes we will rule and reign in this world but we won't rule in the world system. The world system is still under the control of one of the three leaders of satan's realm which I call the infernal trio Lucifer Apollyon and Pharaoh who controls the world system and we will not overcome that until those demons are cast into hell.

It's coming in the future not going to come in our lifetime so let it go folks. Let it go and concentrate what's important right now is that we as believers step into the power of God and we manifest that power in this world and we turn to the lord and win souls for the kingdom of God instead of trying to build earthly kingdoms let's build God's kingdom which is an invisible kingdom and it's an invincible kingdom. Let's not try and stick our nose into what the world's doing to try and compete with them.

They have a lot of help they've got a majority in this world and they have the whole realm of darkness working with them. Well we've got more but we'll never have the world system on our side so don't try to get it there. It's not going to happen we have angels they're far greater than the demons we have the holy spirit we have the lord Jesus the risen Christ himself as our leader.

Let's concentrate on what's important. What do you desire from the lord today? You want to live a victorious life? You want to stand in authority against the enemy? Do you want to experience his mighty power? You want someone who's always there for you? Do you want to experience the love that passes all understanding? You want to have peace amongst all the conflicts? Do you want assurance concerning the future? Well I want to tell you this unequivocally directly and without any variation it is found in one place alone and that is in the lord Jesus Christ. My question to you now is how well do you know him? Do you know him intimately as a friend and as a lover? Do you know him as your source of power? Perhaps it's time you begin to develop a closer relationship with him personally as the comforter who cares for you and helps you encourages you and never condemns you and then as the glorified Christ who imparts and imbues you with his own power to stand in his name in his authority and in his power and to cause all of these things to bow.

Sickness and disease will bow. Demons will bow. Sinful habits will bow.

If you want the world to bow don't try and rebuke them in the name of Jesus. Give them the gospel of salvation and bring them into the kingdom. That is the only way the world will bow and you are being anointed and given the power and the authority to go into all the world and to preach the good news to every creature and to win those souls for the Lord and as we do that that folks is how we build the kingdom of God and as the kingdom of God builds and rises up in his power and becomes invincible world system will have to acknowledge as much as they hate us.

God is in our midst and you think it's time you got to know Jesus in a way you've never known him before because no matter what you want from God there's only one place you're going to find it in the face of Jesus Lord Jesus Christ. Father I thank you for your word I've given it as you gave it to me. I know that you anointed it and it went out with power and I thank you now for bringing conviction to the hearts of those who heard it that those who have failed to embrace this who have been caught in error and false doctrine will repent of this and return to the truth and to acknowledge that you are Lord and to make you fully Lord in their lives in every way and as they do that Lord I ask you to manifest yourself to them in ways they've never known.

I ask you to manifest yourself as the tender loving savior the one in which there is no condemnation and ask you to manifest yourself to them as the glorified Christ who carries the full authority and the power of heaven as they experience you in this way they will rise up and go into this world and become you to cause you to be me re-manifested in this world not just one Jesus but millions of Jesuses but as you live your life in and through us you become manifest once again in this world for Jesus I make myself available to you afresh and I ask you to do that with me I give you fully my spirit soul and body I invite you to come and live your life in me that you would empower me and anoint me place in my hand the tools that I need to turn this world upside down for you to win the loss to you to set the captives free to set even your people free that are in bondage use me Lord I pray as you choose and ask it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
