We've just had an election in South Africa, and there were many different political parties that participated in the election. And each one of them, they made different promises to the people. If we come into power, this is what we are going to offer you.

Now what is it that influences people to vote for a particular political party? I'm not going to ask you what made you vote, but what makes a person decide I would rather have this group of people ruling the country? I'll tell you what's at the bottom of all of it. You're saying we want to be happy. We want freedom to live without being dominated by others.

You know, in the past, slavery meant being forced to obey your master. Today, we still willingly make ourselves slaves. We get the things that we desire.

You'll work for that slave driver that's your boss. And you'll complain the whole month, but you'll do it. Because you need that money that's coming at the end of the month.

Perhaps what you're wanting is more opportunity to be able to prosper and succeed. You want an economic climate that makes it easier to earn money. You want jobs available that can guarantee you an income.

And the opportunity to progress by your efforts. If you work harder, you'll benefit more. Perhaps some of these things were at the bottom of everybody's thinking as they came to decide which political party should I vote for? Which one is more likely to provide these things that we desire? And you know, there's nothing wrong with that.

Because God wants us to prosper. The problem is that the enemy has brought up a lot of false solutions. And so many people are caught up in the delusion of how their needs are going to be met and how the problems are going to be solved.

Probably at the base of all of it is the idea of getting it without working for it. Scripture says, if any man will not work, neither let him eat. Sometimes we expect things just to be handed over to us without us making any effort.

Believers are sometimes caught in the same thing. You say, well, you know, I'm living by faith. The Lord told me to pack up my job and stay home and just live by faith.

And it sounds so terribly spiritual. We've had students in our schools that have claimed that this is what God told them. And you know, I did it once.

But it was a temporary situation. There was a specific purpose for it. And I never, ever had the illusion that I was just to sit back and enjoy life while God provided my needs.

The other one is the idea of stealing from the rich to give to the poor. We're looking for a modern day Robin Hood, you know. They'll take all the wealth of the rich and distribute it freely to the poor.

Wouldn't that be wonderful? Oh, if somebody could promise us that, that's somebody I want to follow. Well, I'm afraid that most of these Robin Hoods are false. And if you've been led astray into thinking that some modern day Robin Hood is going to solve your financial problems, you're mistaken.

Those who promise the wealth of the rich to the poor are usually the ones that get wealthy themselves. The poor remain poor. And we've seen it again and again.

Great big promises. We are going to provide everything for you. And in the end, the poor remain in poverty while the rich get richer.

And these so-called Robin Hood leaders who claim they're going to bring prosperity brought only prosperity for themselves. Nothing ever reaches those who are in need. And sometimes people, they raise money for charity.

And you see, everybody gives generously. But we know from experience that only a very small portion of all that money that was given is actually going to reach the people that are really in need. Most of us are going to get caught up in the hierarchy.

We're going to take it all for themselves. Do not put your trust in a modern day Robin Hood. They don't exist.

Don't put your hope in a person. Don't put your hope in a politician who promises the earth. Don't put your hope in people who seem to have an influence in this world.

And don't put your hope in somebody who's wealthy enough to provide your needs. Oh, Lord, there's this rich person. Lord, give them a dream.

Make them toss and turn at nights. Lord, tell them, give money to Les Crass. It's an illusion, folks.

I found that when you make a financial appeal to a group of people, most of the money comes from the poor people. The wealthy do not easily give away of their wealth. Don't put your trust in a wealthy person and hope that somehow they will part with their wealth and give it to you.

And then there's this thing called communism or socialism. And it sounds so good. It says all men are equal.

So you know what happens? The doctor gets the same pay as the street sweeper. Because all men are equal. Why should the doctor or the lawyer or the professional person get paid more? Because all men are equal.

And so the whole idea is to level the playing field. And you know what ultimately happens? The leaders sit with the wealth again while the people all remain poor. It's a delusion.

It's a delusion. It's trying to do what only God can do with human abilities. Don't put your trust in dogmas like communism and socialism.

And in addition to that, it takes away the whole incentive to improve. Why should I study hard to become a doctor when I could just do something simple? It doesn't require any qualification or hard work. I only get paid the same in the end anyway.

You know, I'm not preaching capitalism. God wants us to prosper and he wants each one of us to rise up and reach a place where not only our needs are met but every desire of our heart is met. Now I'm going to be sharing more on that as we go on.

Psalm 146 verse 3 says this. Do not put your trust in princes nor in human beings in whom there is no. Don't put your trust in man because man will fail you.

Now what's going to solve the poverty problem? We live in a country that's rife with poverty and lack. And because of that, we have a situation of crime that's running rampant. We have theft which is taking place daily because of poverty.

Now what would happen if every person had what they need? What happened if there was more than enough to go around? But unfortunately, that's not the case, is it? The wealth is held only by the few. You know that lack always produces strife. 1 Timothy 6.10 says, for the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

See, it's not money that's the root of evil, it's the love of money. People's love of money produces every kind of evil that you can think of in this world. It causes people to sin in every way that you can think.

James 4, written from verse 1, he says these words. From where does strife and conflict originate among you? Do they not come from your cravings that stir in your members? You crave and do not have, you kill and desire to have and cannot obtain, you fight and strive. Poverty and lack will always produce conflict, all kinds of evil.

What if everyone had enough? There'd be no need to steal then, would there? There'd be no need to take away and remove the people who are standing in the way of our prosperity. There'd be a total reduction in crime, there'd be no fear of loss, you're not afraid that if you leave something out, somebody's going to take it. And then, in fact, you probably have the freedom to not only live comfortably, but you want to give.

You'll be free to give and to be a blessing to others. Oh, can you see it? Can you see this land being transformed to a time and a place where there's enough to go around for everybody? Yeah, if those rich people would just let go of, no, let go of the rich people. The rich people earn their money in their way, and try and steal from them what they got, that's not the solution.

Don't ever, ever look to a man as your source, because every good and every perfect thing comes down from the Father of Lights. He provides our needs, not according to the earth, not according to the wealthy of the earth, but according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Oh, well, you know, if my boss would just give me an increase.

Looking in the wrong place. You must never, ever see man as your source in this world. You must see that God is your source.

And when you look to the Lord as your source, and you trust Him, He will use whatever means He chooses to use in this world to provide for you. Don't think you got to take it in your hands and do it the world's way. Everybody's getting radical.

People are signing petitions and thinking they could just rise up in a group and demand their rights. Looking in the wrong place, folks. You gave all your rights up to Him.

Let Him defend your rights for you. He's more than capable of doing that. Much better.

But you can't. You don't need the arm of flesh to break free. It's time we start preaching the good news.

What's the good news? Gospel. Oh, yes, well, you know, yes, yes, you're right. You're right.

The only hope for this country is for people to get to know the Lord and to get saved. We know that. How's that going to solve the poverty problem? Because most Christians, most churches that are preached out there are told to give away everything they have.

Just say, poor, you mustn't be taken up with wealth. It's carnal, it's fleshly. You've got to be humble before the Lord or into the coffers of the preacher so he can become wealthy.

Give to the work. Give generously to the work. There's nothing wrong with that.

In the early church, they took everything they had and came and laid it at the apostles feet. They gave it to the church. But I'll tell you what the church did with it.

They immediately gave it back out again to those who were in need. You know, when they had the big council at Jerusalem to decide what laws should we impose on the Gentiles, they came to the conclusion that none of the Jewish laws should be applied to the Gentile Christians. They said, there's just one thing that we think is so vitally important.

We must care for the poor. Today, if the poor come to the church, the church is saying, we don't have money. We've got meetings to run.

We've got salaries to pay. We've got a ministry to run here. Why is that? Because we've got the wrong pattern for the church.

Perhaps it's also because nobody's ready to give. There's not enough money to go around. What's the good news, folks? The gospel is far more than salvation from going to hell.

The gospel is not, this is the good news. You don't have to go to hell when you die. You can go to heaven.

Most people are not planning to die anyway, not just yet. So that good news means nothing to them. Now, the good news of salvation is salvation from the difficulties of this life.

All that's implied in that Greek word, sozo. It includes healing and it includes financial blessing, prosperity. All of those are included in the gospel of salvation.

See, God's not against wealth. He's against the attitude of superiority of the wealthy. Don't care.

He's against the selfishness and the covetousness and everybody wanting to grab for themselves. He's very much against that. God wants you to prosper and this is the bad news for some people.

He does require you to work towards it. Adam had a day job, folks. It was before sin.

Adam had a job to do. God didn't say, okay, Adam, here's the most wonderful life. Sit and party all day and have fun and enjoy the pleasures.

He gave him a job to do. You can't escape that horrible thing called work, I'm afraid. See, work didn't just come after the fall.

It started before. What came after the fall was working hard in the sweat of your face. That's what came after the fall.

Before that, your work yielded results. Adam didn't struggle. Everything that he did prospered.

Whatever his hand touched succeeded. See, God wants to bless everything you do. You're standing waiting for God to bless you, but you're not doing anything.

God wants to multiply back the seed that you sow. If you sow nothing, naught times a million is still naught. It's going to take some effort in your parts.

God wants you to have not just enough. He wants you to have more than enough. Firstly, he promises to provide our needs.

Philippians 4.19 But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus. God promises far more than that. He also promises to provide our desires.

And in Psalms 37 verse 4, it says, Delight yourself also in the Lord, Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Now, this promise isn't made to the world. It's only made to God's people.

Only made to God's people. And God was about to bring his chosen nation of Israel into their promised land. I'm giving a lot of scripture today, but I don't normally, but I just feel I need to reinforce this.

This is the promise he made to them before they entered the land. And reading from Deuteronomy 28, reading from verse 11, And the Lord, Yahweh, will make you plenteous in goods, in the food of your body, and in the food of your cattle, and in the food of your ground, in the land which the Lord, Yahweh, swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you his good treasure, the heaven, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.

And you will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you'll be above only and not beneath. You listen attentively to the commandments of the Lord.

Everybody who's accepted the Lord, God bless you. If you're a believer, this is for you. This is God's promise to you.

What has God given us to make this happen? Firstly, he's provided supernatural ability to make you prosper. Again, in Deuteronomy, it says, If you say in your heart, my strength and my natural ability have produced this wealth, then you should remember that the Lord, your God, is the one who is giving you the dynamic power and anointing to produce wealth. There's a wealth anointing, folks.

There's an anointing to save us, deliver us. There's an anointing to heal us, as we saw in our seminar, from the hurts of the past. There's an anointing to change the images that are in us.

There's an anointing to take away all of the insecurities of past failures, and all the guilts of our past failures. But there's also an anointing to make you prosper. Now, if God's called you and set you apart, as he's doing for many of these days, to a ministry, which I like to call the business calling, that anointing is going to be a major part of your ministry.

See, folks, principles are not enough. Even unbelievers can use principles. Even unbelievers can become wealthy.

The self-help books out there in the world are in abundance. We've got far more than that. If they can prosper using what they've got, how much more should we not be doing the same? You see, the principles are not enough.

We need his presence in our lives. So you must be a believer that you have his presence. You have his spirit abiding in you.

And you should be walking daily in fellowship with him. Because without his presence, principles are worth nothing. And even that's not enough.

We need his power. Where's his power? If you've received him and his spirit has come to live inside of you, I'll tell you where the power is. It's living right here inside of you.

What you need to do is to tap into it. I taught in the way of blessing. Never been to the way of blessing.

And you have a desire to prosper and a desire to be used by the Lord. In a business calling, it's required reading. Let me give you in a nutshell, one of the main principles of the way of blessing.

God has placed within our spirits everything we'll ever need. And in there, there are three main forces, faith, hope, and love. But that power has to be released in order to be effective and to bring change in our lives.

It's got to be released out of our spirits, out through our souls, and out through our bodies into the earth. A lot of the time, we're looking for more power, aren't we? Lord, give me more power. But you see, all the power of the universe, all the power that created the universe is living inside of you right now.

You don't need more power. You just need a way of letting it out. And the problem doesn't lie in us wanting to let it out, because we do.

The problem lies in our souls, because in our soul, there are blockages that stop you from coming out. So you can have a huge, strong voltage that you apply to a light. We've got that whole 220 volts.

But if you put a resistance in the wire, that light's not going to burn very brightly. It's going to burn very dim. Well, you say, we need more power.

And we don't need more power. We need less resistance to the power. So your soul has become resistant.

And that is why, in the last while, we've been emphasizing and over-emphasizing dealing with the soul. We've been looking at the healing of the soul. See, those bad experiences of your past, those hurts, they've put a blockage in your soul that has stopped the power from coming out.

But it's not just the hurts. We've been speaking so much mainly about the negative, hurtful experiences we had, and the bitterness, and the anger that's in us, and learning to forgive the people that hurt us. But there are other experiences that you had, which are even more powerful in stopping you from releasing that anointing.

They have nothing to do with your parents, nothing to do with being hurt. They had to do with you trying things and failing. I have an expression in English that says, once bitten twice shy.

How many times have you tried something and it failed? Next time it's a bit more difficult, isn't it? You push hard and you try again and you fail again. Eventually you come to the place where you say, what's the point in trying? It's not going to work for me. Now God comes and he calls you to go out and do something healthy.

And you say, I tried that and it didn't work. The last time I did that, the whole world was against me. Everything went wrong in my life.

People opposed me. My life was a living hell. I'm going to try that again.

So you need healing from some of those experiences too. It's like I'm never going to get to end of the subject of any healing, am I? So much more. Think about it.

What is it that's stopping you from rising up and being now what you want to be? It's the failures of your past. It's the words that people have spoken to you. It's your experiences make you feel, I can't do this because it keeps on failing.

So in order to release God's power, we've got to change the condition of our soul. Healing is one of the most powerful ways of doing that. The other, probably even more powerful, is a scripture that says we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

See, we've got to change our thinking. It was very difficult to change your thinking. If you've grown up in poverty, you can't see anything but poverty.

If you've grown up being pushed down and never allowed to rise up, it's very difficult to see yourself as rising up and succeeding in this world, isn't it? Change the thinking. God has given us his spirit. That's very powerful.

He's given us his word. We need the principles and the power and we need his presence. All those three must go together.

So we've got to reprogram our minds by seeing what God's word says. And again and again, bombard our minds with those promises of God until eventually they penetrate. And you finally start to say, well, maybe there is hope.

Maybe I could do this. Maybe there is a possibility that I can rise up out of poverty and failure and weakness and be something magnificent in this world. I have a quest.

I want to change this country. God brought us back here. We're over there in North America where everybody lived by the American dream.

And you know what? There's a lot of money available. And somebody said, well, we can't really afford what you're offering. They were saying we're not prepared to dip into our huge resources of savings.

There's no such thing amongst the average American as poverty. When people say they're poor, it means they're just not as flush as everybody else. There's a lot available there.

And we come to a country like this. And they say, you've got the same kind of people here. So we had there.

But we got a whole lot more of the other kind of people. We saw this in Mexico already. At one stage, the richest man in the world was a Mexican.

It wasn't that long ago. The rest of the people live in poverty. We came back to South Africa.

We were well-prepared. Because South Africa is so much like Mexico. You have the rich and wealthy.

And you have the extremely poor. And you have not as much crime as here. But you have the petty theft.

Those people are poor. But you know what? We came there to Mexico. And it was a struggle.

We were trying to minister online. And at that time, you had to pay by the minute for telephone connection. So when we connected to the internet, while we were online ministering to people, the clock was ticking.

Our average phone bill was over $800. Multiply that by 1,400 rand, with $100, it's thousands of rand. Thousands.

It was just our phone bill. At times, it was disconnected, and we couldn't minister anymore. We cried out to the Lord.

We said, Lord, you brought us here. The only means we have is the internet. We've got to do something.

One day, we got our bill, and it was almost nothing. And we thought, oh, no, they made a mistake. Next month, they're probably going to double bill us.

Oh, Lord. I went in to see the telephone department. I said, you guys made a mistake in the bill.

You know, normally, I'm paying like $850 a year. It's like $20. What happened? They said, oh, didn't you know we've changed the telephone system? From now on, you only pay once when you connect.

After that, there's no charge. And that was a miracle. And I don't care what anybody said.

God listened to our prayer, and he changed the Mexican phone system for us. We saw changes in our community. We saw things happening.

They were miraculous. They could not be explained, because we put out our faith and trusted God. The atmosphere began to improve.

Now, there is an anointing that comes, and that is available to us. And I believe it's available to all of us as believers. I believe it's especially available in greater measure to one who's called to the business calling.

I didn't even know much about the business calling until the Lord showed it to me. But we had a weird experience. And you may have experienced it.

I don't know. We'd go into a shop that was virtually empty. And we could just stand in the corner then, do nothing, just talk.

And within minutes, people would start to come in. And before long, the place was crowded. We used to joke about it.

We can't stay in one place too long. The worst was, John was a little baby, and we had to change his nappies. So we found a little corner in the shop there where nobody would notice.

And we'd barely change it, and people were there. We were crowded. I had an aunt who was in business.

And we went to visit her the one day. And while we were sitting there, the phone started to ring. She kept saying, excuse me, I've got to take this.

Eventually, she came back. She said, I don't know what's happened. But since you people have been here, the phone has just not stopped ringing.

It was new business for us. I eventually realized it wasn't a coincidence. It was real.

See, we carry the blessing of the Lord with us. We carry the anointing of the Lord with us. Can you imagine the body of Christ carrying this anointing and taking it out into the darkness of this country? You don't even need to say anything to bring the blessing of God.

Wherever you are, people should be blessed. Your very presence should be bringing a blessing upon them. It's time we preach the full gospel, folks.

The early days, they founded a whole lot of churches called the full gospel churches. Because they said, until then, nobody was preaching that you could get filled with the Spirit. And the new baptism, the Holy Spirit is coming.

So they said that the full gospel includes not only salvation, but also the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And so all the full gospel churches were the early Pentecostal churches who preached more than just the gospel message. You know, it wasn't the full gospel yet.

But the full gospel is that Jesus has come to provide every needs. Four square movement, found around four principles, Jesus, the Savior, Jesus, the healer, Jesus, the baptizer, Jesus, the coming King. Well, they left out the fifth one, Jesus, the one who prospers us.

When a group called the faith movement came along and dared to preach that, they were branded as heretics. I'm not a greatest fan of the faith movement, but I love the teachings of Kenneth Hagin, Sr., the original principles on which it was founded. They sound, they've gone imbalanced like so many others have out there.

But it's time we preach the full gospel. It's time we preach the good news that God wants to prosper you, that everything you touch should succeed and go well. A lot of this is part of the business calling.

I taught some time ago that there are three roads we can walk on. At that time, I only knew two. I've been walking the ministry road, and the Lord told me to step off the ministry road and to walk in the business road.

Later on, he showed me there was the third one called the social road, and that one still has not been fully developed. At that time, I handed over my entire ministry to somebody else, and I let go of a ministry emphasis, and I went into studying God's order for business. I thought I'd completed all that needed to be taught, but there was more.

I began to teach on this anointing for wealth, this anointing for business, but somehow I never fully entered into it. So recently, the Lord made a change, took me the same route, because he said there's more for you to learn. So I've handed over most of the ministry and the training side.

As you know, it's a meeting. Now God's wanting to bring out his hidden entrepreneurs. Those who are called.

This ministry is called global business ministries, because business and ministry must run side by side, each on their own road. Together, enabling us to reach this world for the Lord, not just for salvation, but to teach them that God wants to prosper them, that God wants to bless them, that God wants to provide the very desires of their hearts. And oh, can you imagine what it's going to look like? When God raises up these leaders, we'll get out there and preach the word of God.

Most of these business calling people will not only move in the secular world, but they will have supernatural power. Largely in the area of the miraculous and in signs and wonders. Some years ago, a group was formed called Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International.

A bunch of businessmen getting together to worship the Lord and fellowship together. They were all highly qualified businessmen. When one of them was invited to our church to preach, signs and wonders happened, amazing things happened.

I've never seen preachers sometimes quite as anointed as what these men were. I always wondered about that. The Lord showed me that those who step into the business calling are not giving up supernatural and they're not giving up ministry.

They're simply focusing in a different direction now. Our emphasis becomes on the gospel now. Our emphasis becomes preaching the good news now.

And that good news is accompanied, as it always was in the past, with signs following. So God's been gradually transitioning me to move more into the anointing of God. Since I've been doing that, I've been seeing God heal people within and without.

And I believe we're going to see God starting to prosper and raise up his people. It's time, folks. It's time that the body of Christ stands up.

And God is raising up this new breed of leaders now who are going to lead the way. They're going to take the power of God. You know, when God does the Robin Hood thing, he does it right.

The scripture says that the unjust will build up riches to be given to the just. Well, how do you think you're going to get an unjust rich person to give you money? It's not by praying that he'll get a dream or a vision. It's not by praying that he'll wake up and say, I need to give money to the church.

No, we're waiting for all the wealthy businessmen to give money to the church. No, it's time we bring the business into the church. I don't want the businessmen's money.

I want all of it. I want a rank of business leaders who are leaders in the body of Christ and also leaders in business. And it's business that we're going to use to get the wealth of those wicked.

They're not going to part with it willingly. But when we do business under the anointing of God, when we do business God's way, when God prospers us, when we sell with an anointing, they're going to part with their money quite freely. It's all going to come in.

The just may receive it. God's people may rise up. So don't put your hope in the politicians, folks.

Don't put yourself in the riches, your hope in the riches of this world. Get ready and watch because God's about to raise up these new leaders. They're going to come up out of obscurity.

They've been hidden away there. Some of them totally obscure. Many of them actually, because they've had a passion for money instead of ministry, have been condemned and pushed down and said, you're a second rate Christian.

When I first began to preach this, people said that I'd turned my back on the call of God. And all I wanted to do was make money. Oh, they're so, so, so wrong.

Be ready for it because God is about to do a new thing in his church. And God told me he's bringing me back to this country because he wants to do a new thing right here. For us to produce wealth in a wealthy country like America would not be a big miracle.

It loaded with billionaires already. Can you imagine God bringing wealth in a country like this? Can you imagine the poor rising up and having their needs met? Can you imagine poverty being banished once and for all? And especially the body of Christ rising up in power with unbelievers are envying us, saying, how do you do it? How is that I do the same business as you? Yours just seems to succeed. That's the power God's going to give us, folks.

And I want to encourage you no matter where you are. And if God's called you to business, all the more I want to say, get ready. We're going to be training people like this pretty shortly.

And God's going to raise these people up. It's going to set them on a high. You're going to change the face.

This land, the body of Christ. And I thank you for your word. I gave it as you gave it to me.

Ask you to take it and challenge your people. Stir them up, Lord. Those that you are calling to set themselves aside.

To be your agents of blessing. I ask you to pull them out where they are. All hidden away in so many places.

Many of them sitting there in obscurity. Many of them feeling condemned because they've been told they're not spiritual enough. You've been preparing them in the background, Lord.

And you've been setting them apart. Now I ask you to move upon them by your spirit. And I ask you to bring them out, Lord, now.

Hallelujah. I thank you for that, Father. Perhaps God's speaking to you right now as you're watching this.

And you felt that, you know, why is it that I've always just had more of a desire to move in this area than in ministry? Could it be that God has called you to be one of these new leaders that he's raising up? If he has, I want you to contact us. So we can help you. We can show you.

I've written many books. There's going to be plenty more to come on this whole thing. God is going to do some awesome, amazing things.

And don't think that you're giving up everything spiritual. Because now's the time to let go of all the pastoring and the teaching. And move into the power of God.

The manifest, miraculous power of God. Because we're going to be working out there in the world. And it's going to take the signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit to make people sit up and take notice.

And it's going to take the miraculous power of God to produce wealth where before you failed. It's going to do it by his Spirit now, not by your natural ability. Thank you, Father, for calling those now.

Calling them by name. Bringing them out. Speak your blessing on them now.

I speak your blessing on this land. I speak your blessing on the politicians, Lord. It doesn't matter who the people chose.

We must still pray for those that you set in authority over us. And so we pray for our president. And we pray for the leaders of governments.

And we pray, Lord, that you would move in their midst. That you would move by your Spirit. That you'll remove those who are rotten and shouldn't be there.

That you will lift up and exalt those who are righteous and stand for the truth. That you'll reveal yourself to them as never before. That we may live a life of peace and prosperity.

South Africa become a country of freedom, country of liberty and prosperity. May it begin with us. I ask it in Jesus' name.
