The Conference

We have been recovering from the conference and moving into a place where we can see where the Lord is taking us now

Has everyone gone through the conference materials to catch up?

We will be putting up the transcripts of the messages as soon as we are able to edit them

And then I want to preach one more bonus teaching before we publish it as a new course

The Lord has been showing me that it is important for all pastors to prepare themselves to be able to carry out the task of building the new church

Until we as leaders have overcome our own difficulties, we cannot effectively minister to others

The Abundant Life

The main emphasis that the Lord was giving me before the conference is to help all believers live an abundant life

And the main teaching he gave me long ago to accomplish this was the WAy of Blessing

But the Way of Blessing has many aspects and is not clearly understood

Few have fully grasped the principles or put them into practice

In fact, even as we began to do this, the enemy launched an immediate counterattack

To stop us from proceeding with this. teaching

I thought the conference would launch us into a greater manifestation of the external anointing and the gifts of the spirit

But instead the emphasis went the other way and built on developing more of the internal

It brought me back to the series I did on Tapping Your Inner Resources

here it combines with the Way of Blessing, because the principles all involve tapping into what God has placed inside of us

We all want a quick fix where someone lays hands on us and speaking blessing

but there is work that needs to be done

it does not fall on us, but we need to learn to tap into what is already inside us

So tonight I am going to introduce you to the main principles of the Way of Blessing as a starting point

and then we are going to move on from there

and look at how we can practically put these principles into action

Once you learn this, you will be able to walk in blessing by taking the necessary actions rather than crying out to the Lord and waiting for Him to perform a miracle

A Miracle Inside Of You

The truth is that your miracle is already there inside of you

and until you understand this and fully embrace it, you will always be at the mercy of the enemies of. the believer

These are the Devil, the world and the flesh

You must first understand the main principles of the Way of Blessing

In effect the full teaching involves the following laid out simply

Basics of Way of Blessing

Paul tells us this in the following passage:

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in [the] heavenly [realm] in Christ: [GBMV]

This is all past tense, not something we ask God to do now or in the future

So it is really not Scriptural to ask God for blessing, because the Scripture tells us that God has already blessed us

It is important to note that these are spiritual blessings

That means they are spiritual nature and not physical

and because they are spirit in nature, God has placed them into our spirits when we were born again

Creation By Spirit

God made the worlds and everything in them by using the power of Spirit

and when we adds to these things, some of the things we need and ask for, they are done the same way

It takes the power of spirit to create

So no matter what you need or desire from the Lord, it has to be created for you using the power of spirit

So in order to receive blessing in the main areas of life - health, wealth and relationships it is necessary for the power of spirit to act upon the creation to form the things we desire

If you need financial provision, it must be created using the power of spirit

If you need healing, it must be created using the power of spirit

If you need a life partner, or friends it requires the power of spiri

spirit

What most believers do is cry out to God and ask Him to create the things we desire

Then we wait for Him to create it for us

How God Creates

Will it fall out of the sky?

No, it will usually come from what is already there

The finances you need are already in the world

God is not going to counterfeit and make new money for you

But he is going to cause some of the money that is already in the world to come into your hands

If you need good relationships, He is doing to arrange for you to meet the right person or people

And then he will grant you favor with those persons

Source of Healing

Your spirit not only keeps your body alive, but it also heals your body when it is sick

When the spirit leaves the body, it is dead

But when it enters the body, it brings with it amazing power

I have read of many cases where folks who died were brought back to life

and usually when they died of a sickness, the moment their spirit returned to the body, that sickness vanished

So the healing power is in your own spirit

Now God sometimes uses people to release the additional power needed to bring about healing

But the healing will still come from within your own spirit

All that happens when someone else prays for healing is that person pours into your spirit some of what God has placed in their spirit

Then the power in their spirit combines with the power in your own spirit to create a far greater power

In the end, the healing always comes as a result of spiritual power

There is a fresh creation of a part of the body using the power of the spirit

The body has already been designed to heal itself

But it has been attacked and prevented from doing this effectively

So it needs some help to do its job well

Medical science works in a similar way

No doctor or medicine can heal the body

They help the body in its natural healing process

Some chemicals, usually extracted from the creation-healing plants, assist the body in healing itself

Where the body has been damaged beyond repair, medical science can remove diseased parts through an operation

But in the end, the body’s natural healing processes must eventually take over to keep the body alive

Demon Powers

They block some of the body’s healing power, and it gets sick

So they need to be overcome and removed before the natural healing process can continue

In my teaching on Receiving Healing in the Way of Blessing, I show all the things that can harm the body and lead to ill health

Work of Doctors

But often medicines prescribed can also harm the body

There are usually side effects, and some kill while healing

Often, you become a guinea pig used by the doctors to test new medicines

Sometimes the dangers only surface later - and then it can be too late

The only real safe medical treatment is the power of the spirit to heal and recreate

Only the power of the spirit can actually create a new organ when the old is damaged

So the million dollar question remains - how can I cause the power of spirit to produce the things I desire in life

Where do I find this power to bring financial provision, healing, or good relationships?

Most of us look to God in heaven and cry out to Him

The body should be getting sick all the time because we are surrounded by germs, viruses, etc

Demons do not create the sickness directly but block the body’s natural healing mechanism

Your body is subjected to things all the time that can affect it

But it is designed to destroy germs and viruses

Anything that prevents this built-in act causes sickness

Demons do this by blocking the healing power from your spirit

Have you noticed that one of the biggest things you face when you are sick is bad feelings?

Worry, fear, and negative expectations are the work of the enemy

This is part of their way of blocking your healing power

I am going to show you shortly how they do this and then we are going to look at how to deal with all causes

I want to show you a well-known passage of Scripture. I will give you the GBM Translation, which I believe is accurate

Here it is

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I want you to continually be made to flourish in all things and to be continually in good health, to the same degree that your soul is continually being made to flourish. [GBMV]

Let me explain what this verse is telling us

And this is really the hub of the Way of Blessing

God has put into the spirit of every born-again believer all the spiritual resources needed to live an abundant life

This power in the human spirit determines the quality of life that you live

Your spirit keeps your body alive and well

It releases power into the earth to create opportunities for financial provision

and it pours out an influence that causes you to have good relationships with others

But since your spirit is only one of three parts to your being

It cannot act independently

It has to work through your soul and your body

That is why this passage just looked at shows that our success in living a life of prosperity and good health depends on the condition of your soul

If your soul blocks the outflow of the power in your spirit then that power is limited or not active

We tend to think we need more power to make things happen

But in reality all the power you will ever need is already there

The power is in Christ and He is living inside of you

To use electricity as an illustration, You can have a very high voltage of power available

But when it is applied to a circuit or device, it has to go through the wires connecting it

If those wires contain a high resistance or impedance, then very little current flows through to the device

The power is there in fullness, but it cannot get through because it is being blocked

So the key to seeing some effect is not increasing the power

It is removing all resistance in the circuit that is blocking that power

Spiritually the biggest blockages to the flow of the power of the spirit lie in the soul

So if you can to see an increase in spiritual flow, do not work on your spirit, but on your soul

The soul contains three main functions

The mind, the emotions and the will

Each of these needs to be conditioned in some way to allow a freer flow of the power of the spirit

The mind is most powerful, because it contains thoughts that can block the flow

Some have called this Stinking Thinking

It is where we exercise our choice to believe or not believe

Someone has said that if you think you can do something or you think that you cannot do it both are correct

So you must change your thinking first to allow the power of the Spirit in you to flow out

Demons do work in the realm of the mind though and put negative thoughts there

Most of the time what affects our thoughts is not primarily demons putting negative thoughts there. It is we filling our minds with the thoughts of the world around us

You only need to go and watch to news to get your mind filled with negative thinking

There is so much negativity all around us, we are subjected to it daily

It is just too easy to sit scrolling through videos online

and they are always filled with negativity

Those pictures remain and are deadly to believing God for good things

They are also addictive

You watch one and are then drawn into watching more

Before you know it, you have spent a long time filling your mind with negative thoughts

So where do we get the positive thoughts?

Only God has positive thoughts and pictures for your mind

But there is no heavenly tik tok or youtube

It takes an effort to get good pictures from the Lord

Most of us only have the Scriptures

But they are in the form of words, not picture

and words do not stick

You could read several chapters of the bible a day and not retain any of them

So you have to make the effort to convert them into pictures there are easy to remember

You feel a pain in your body what do you do

If you have been watching medical movies you will likely see the doctors pronouncing a patient dead

you will see them wheeling the body out to the morgue

And if you can find a doctor who tells you, “This is not serious we will have you healed and well shortly” then you have found something that seldom exists

Doctors are trained to find the worst and give you the bad news

Try bypassing them and googling your symptoms and you are even worse

You have read in the Word that Jesus bought your healing, but you cannot see it

You may have seen a fellow believer suffer or die of sickness

and you wonder if you are next in line

Here is where you can rely on something in addition to the Word

You can learn to listen to the voice of your spirit, influenced by the Holy Spirit

Here is where the gifts of the spirit come in handy

Where you can hear God speaking to you

Those who flow in prophetic ministry can do this more easily, but every believer can hear the voice of god

There is a process we call journaling where you can have a conversation with God using writing

Or you can ask a believer who flows prophetically to give you a prophetic word from the Lord

I have developed this gift to where I can pray with anyone and get a word for them from the Lord

This helps give assurance

and then if you have the gift of discerning of spirits you can also identify any demon powers that are attacking you

And you can use your authority as a believer to command them to leave you alone

If you are under attack physically it is good to look to the Lord daily for every source of encouragement and hope otherwise you become overwhelmed with fear and worry

I sometimes experience a sudden attack on my body and am tempted to think that something serious has come on me

When that happens I ask my wife to pray with me and we seek the Lord for revelation

Often I will see a demon in the spirit that is attacking me

Then we stand against it together and command it to leave

Sometimes I see the angels there to help us

and I ask them to take this demon away

Usually the fear leaves and I then continue to reach out to the Lord for complete healing

A lot of this also comes when you allow yourself to come under a curse

This often results from opening your heart to another believer who is under a curse

This is a big subject and I do cover it under the Way of Blessing

Probably the biggest difficulty you face is when the enemy attacks your mind with thoughts of fear and worry

He does this by putting negative pictures into your mind

and it is very difficult to displace those negative pictures.

You have to build a positive picture on purpose

and this is not easy to do at will

Even if you can hold a postive picutre in your mind, it is difficult to keep it there

plus you cannot hold a positive/negative picture

You can try to visualize yourself as not sick

But what does that look like?

You can only see a picture of sickness

Now the pictures you keep in your mind are like a blue print that you give to your spirit to say what you want

How do you give it a picture that says, This is what I look like without pain?

You can only do this using words

and you cannot use the words - I am free of pain

You have to find a positive alternative

I see my body well and strong

I can use that limb or muscle fully because it operates freely

When you speak positive words, it becomes easier to change the pictures, and this in turn changes your feelings

Putting these two together I usually make the following statement

You can have what you say and you will get what you see

Instead of seeing them repossessing your car because you did not pay, you should see yourself paying the bills

It does not matter where the money comes from

Do not make the mistake of trying to figure that out

It is a bit like telling the Lord how to provide

Just see it as paid by the Lord and see Him alone as your source

Sure, He is going to use people to bring it to you

but you must not look to man

When it comes to healing, God could send you someone with gift of healing or someone who can pray in faith

But He could also heal you directly from within your own spirit

They key lies in the condition of your soul

So you need to watch out what you put into your mind

spend more time meditating on the promises of God

Now I have learned there is another way of changing your emotions

and this is to use your body to act like the answer is here

When you step out and act like the answer is there, your body shows this

Let me see if I can show you how to do this

What will it take to make you smile?

When you are happy you can do it naturally

Now I want you to do something

Nobody is watching so you do not need to feel awkward

I want you to smile right now

Force yourself to smile broadly like you would if you were happy

Did you notice that when you did that something stirred up inside you

in fact, for a moment you may have felt a tinge of happiness

Lift your head up high and look boldly ahead of you

Then put on that smile

if you do this often enough I guarantee your emotions will begin to change

I often recommend that you do this when writing a letter to someone

Instead of scowling and looking down, look up and smile

it will even show in your words and the person will respond more postively to you

Then as you go about your day, step out boldy and confidently as though everything in your life is wonderful

Eventually you will begin to feel it and this will motivate you even more

Practice these two things - speaking positive pictures and acting them out

and before you know it, the clouds of gloom will lift

You have now conditioned your soul to let out more of that spiritual power

When you interact with others, never let them see the negative feelings inside

Keep positive and keep a postive face

you will be amazed at how many more people want to hang around with you

Nobody wants to be the solution to your problems

So just hand them over to the Lord and act like everything is wonderful

Eventually you will convince yourself also

Try it for a day and see the effects

you will suddenly get new energy

Keep those emotions riding high and you can face anything that life throws at you

Try laughing out loud at the devil

I remember hearing someone preach this once

He said he started out just saying ha ha

then ha ha ha

until eventually he was chuckling with laughter

Joy is a fruit of the spirit and it is a powerful force

Instead of waiting for it to come upon you, choose to pull it up from inside of you and manifest it outwardly

I was reading of a guy who came down with serious disease that affected his joints and medicines did not help much

So he decided to find things to laugh about

Eventually he found after a good laugh, the pain was greatly eased

You know that expression - laughter is the best medicine

See your body even has power to help your soul

And when your soul gets on fire, the power of your spirit will flow freely

and living a life of blessing will become the norm

Many years ago when I was sufferinfg from arthritis the specialist told me that the new way of treating this was to get people to laugh more

The joy of the Lord is our strength

Instead of looking for something to complain about, we should be looking for things to laugh about

So let me end on this note and you can go practice some of these things this week

When you are faced with negative feelings and things are going wrong in your life, do not cry out to the lord

work instead on the condition of your soul and make a channel for the power of the spirit to flow out from inside you

Maintaining a spirit of praise is also a powerful weapon in doing this

The Lord has not forsaken you

He already put into you all you need\\

Learn to tap into that power and release it into your life

then start pouring some also into others
