Mark 11: 24 Because of this, I am telling you, No matter what you are asking for yourself, while you are praying, take hold of it in faith, and it will happen. [GBMV]

Two Simple Questions

What is the most important thing that you need or desire from the Lord right now? Well, it's very simple. It's a simple way of finding out what's top of your prayer list. Probably your desires fall in some of the main areas of life and there's three main areas where most of our desires fall.

Desires Probably in Three Main Areas of Lives

Firstly, you probably want to overcome sickness and disease and live a long life on this earth. Perhaps you need enough income to be able to do all the things that you love. Perhaps you'd like favour with people that you interact with daily, good relationships and friendships.

These are some of the main areas that we tend to have desires. And then we come to your life calling, success in your career or your work. That's probably a big desire in your life, if that's important to you.

And if God's called you to ministry, then you probably have very high on your list, a desire to really be effective in ministry, to see God really use you powerfully and to make things happen in the lives of people when you minister to them. Now, what does it take to realize your dreams and your desires? And what does God require of you? For him to give you these things? These are important questions which we're going to answer today. I want to look firstly at the origin of all blessings.

God Alone is Source of Blessing

There's only one source of blessing and that is God. He is the originator of all blessings. You're not going to get them from the devil.

You're not going to get them from this world. If you are needing something good in your life, God is a good God and he's the only one that you can turn to to receive your blessing. Now, God lives in a heavenly realm, a place that we call heaven.

And that's a big subject on its own and I don't want you to think of heaven as being far off on some planet somewhere. Think of heaven as being a different realm to the realm in which we live. It's a realm in the spirit.

And so if God is the source of our blessings and God lives in heaven, then it's logical to assume that everything that we receive from God is going to come to us from heaven because it's come to us from God, right?

How We Receive From God

Now, how do we receive from the Lord? Paul gives us a very good indication in the book of Philippians chapter 4 and verse 19, a very well-known verse and it goes like this in the GBM translation, that my God will supply all your needs coming down from his abundance in the realm of glory through Jesus, the anointed one. In other words, firstly, it's going to be given to you from the heavenly realm, the realm of glory. Secondly, it's going to come to you through Jesus and thirdly, it's going to come to you through the anointing power of the Holy Spirit.

Now for God to give you his blessings, if they're coming from heaven, somehow they've got to get sent down from heaven to earth because we're not in heaven yet. We will be one day but while we're on this earth, we want the blessings and we've got to try and get them down from heaven down to where we live. You know, we have a wonderful opportunity today in our modern age, a thing called shipping.

Modern Day Concept of Shipping

Our shipping's always been there. We don't use ships anymore, but they still keep the term shipping, but I'm sure you have at one time or another gone online and seen something that you'd like to buy and then placed an order from a website and your order is then dispatched usually to a courier. In some countries, the postal system is still good enough that it can be sent via the post.

This doesn't happen in South Africa. You send it by post, you probably will never see it and I know when we were in Mexico, it was the same. You couldn't rely on the post office.

So they use courier systems very much in South Africa and you know what fun it is to go online and place an order for something that you want and then wait for it to arrive. Depending on how efficient your company is that's selling it to you and how efficient the courier is, usually it takes a couple of days unless they have to order it from somewhere else and you might have to wait, but they'll usually tell you when you can expect it and there's this moment of excitement. Oh, my item that I ordered is coming tomorrow.

I can't wait for it to arrive. And they let you know it's going to arrive sometime today and you don't know is it going to arrive first thing in the morning or is it going to arrive later in the afternoon. You spend the whole day in anticipation waiting for the delivery of this awesome thing that you ordered.

We all know this, don't we? You see the picture is very similar to what happens when we ask something from the Lord. We go online into the heavenly realm and we place our order and we ask the Lord and he says, yes, it's coming. It's on its way.

And now we've got to wait for it to come down from the heavenly realm into the earth. Is there something we can do about it? Yeah, there's a lot we can do about it. I teach this clearly in my teaching on the way of blessing on a principle known as transmutation.

And I'm not going to cover that today. I suggest you go and get the way of blessing. A lot of the things that I'm sharing today are explained in a lot of detail in that teaching.

Sometimes you need money to come and somebody's maybe sending you money from another country and it has to come through a bank transfer. And again, there's usually a delay, especially if it's coming from a foreign country. And so it takes a certain time for some of these companies that handle the paying of things like that.

And eventually, you know, it's going to arrive in your bank account. And so you watch eagerly every day to see whether it's arrived yet. Yay, my money's arrived.

Let's go to the bank. Let's go to the shops. We've got what we wanted.

The Cost of Blessing

Do you know receiving from the Lord can be just as exciting and just as sure because God wants to bless you. What is it going to cost us to receive the blessing of God? Ah, this is the biggie. You know, they say you get nothing for nothing in this world.

But what does God require of us? What does it cost us to receive from the Lord the things that we desire? Now most believers start out by making this big mistake. We think that we somehow need to earn or deserve the blessing of God before he will give us what we want. And so we feel we've got to do something to get him to like us, to favor us.

We feel that maybe if I improve my behavior and the way I live and the things I do that God will be pleased with me. And you know what you're actually trying to do? You're trying to trade with God. You're saying, Lord, this is what I want.

I'll give you this in exchange. As if God needs anything from you. But it's so subtle and it's so built into human nature, isn't it? People don't just give you things for free.

They always require something from you. It's always going to cost you. And so we feel that we've got to pay a price to receive the blessing of God.

Somehow I've got to become more spiritual. I've got to get closer to the Lord. I've got to deal with things in my life.

And then sometimes we think that we have to give up things that we really want to gain his favor. You know, some people think that not wanting wealth is spiritual. And so they develop this poverty mentality of, ah, we can get by with what we have.

We don't need anything fancy. And we think that this is going to cause the Lord to favor us. A poverty mentality doesn't come from heaven.

There's no poverty there. Don't ever think that you have to give up the good things in this life to receive the blessing of the Lord. And then we get into our religious behavior.

You know, all the religious things that preachers expect of us and churches and denominations and religious groups expect from us. We've got to change our behavior and act in a religious way. As if this is going to win God's favor and want him to bless us all the more.

Big mistake that we all make until we learn to recognize that the grace of God through Jesus, the price has already been paid. Jesus already paid the price for everything we could ever desire from the Lord. You don't have to add to it.

In fact, your puny little efforts are worthless. Scripture says our righteousnesses are like filthy rags in his sight. So as you come now to the Lord to ask him for these things, be careful you don't get caught in this mold of I need to somehow earn the right to the blessing.

No, you don't. Jesus already earned that right for you on Calvary. God will provide your needs from the abundance coming down from the heavenly realm through Christ Jesus.

Only Two Things Needed

That's how you'll do it. In fact, God only needs two things from you. Two things.

And it's so simple. If you just remember these two things, you'll never struggle again with trying to work so hard to somehow deserve the blessing of the Lord. What are these two things? Well, let me give you scripture so you don't think I'm just making these up.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he who comes to God to receive something for himself must know without a doubt that he does exist, and [that] he is one who rewards those who are earnestly desiring to receive something from him. [GBMV]

Now, I want you to notice everything in that verse.

We often skip the last part of the verse and we major just on this one that says without faith it is impossible to please him. You see, God is a faith God. And no matter how righteous or holy you act, I'm afraid it's not enough.

God is pleased with faith, not with your efforts. Faith must always come first above everything else. And then you need to realize that the Lord never ever imposes himself on us.

He knows what we need and what we desire. And he will not do anything until we express those desires. Jesus required two things from every person that he helped.

Jesus' Two Requirements

He usually asked them two questions. The first one was, what do you want from me? In other words, what is your desire? Secondly, do you believe I'm able to do this? Do you have faith in me? He didn't ever say do you go to church? Have you been attending synagogue regularly? Does this man pay his tithes? Did you ever see Jesus make inquiries about the person to see whether they were worthy? No, all he wanted was what do you want? Tell me what you desire and tell me do you have faith for me to do this for you? If they fulfill those two requirements, he always met their desire or their need. So we've got to fulfill these two requirements.

Firstly, we must believe. We must believe he exists because he is the source of all blessings. If we don't believe there is a God who's going to bless us, then what hope do we have? And then we need to believe and know that he is willing to give us the things that we desire.

Now desire in itself is not enough because there are levels of desire. You know, you might say, well, you know, I would like to have one of these but there's a lot of other things I'd like to have as well. What's important to you? See, so the term that was used here in that passage was earnestly desire, covet, almost lust, be passionate about it.

Must Desire Earnestly

See, just a passing desire is not enough. It must be a passionate desire. That's what stirs the heart of God.

It's like any parent when they sees their child passionate about something, they somehow want to get it for the child. When the child's looking to you and saying, hey dad, I really want one of those. Can't you give it for me? Dad, I know, I know you, I know you care.

Dad, I know you want to get it for me. Man, you just start looking for the money to go and buy it. You think our father God is any different? And then you need spiritual hunger and thirst.

See, fleshly desires are easy. Freedom from sickness. Well, you know, we often take our health for granted.

When everything's going great, we don't even think about our health until something serious hits you. Bam! And suddenly the doctors are telling you you've got something serious that could shorten your life, that could take away the freedom that you have to do things that you enjoy. Now suddenly being well becomes a big priority to you.

Freedom from poverty. Well, you know, when we've got enough to get by, we become a bit complacent. You know, yes, I'd like to have a lot more money, but you know, we get enough.

We get enough to meet our needs. I can buy the things I want. We're not wealthy, but we're okay.

See, and then financial lack hits you. Suddenly things go wrong. Suddenly finances drop and you don't have the income.

Now suddenly wealth becomes a big priority to you, doesn't it? And then we have freedom from loneliness. You know, we often take our marriage partner for granted. The longer you've been married, the more you take them for granted.

You don't realize what you have in that person. And then suddenly things go wrong. There's a conflict in the marriage.

A third party enters. There's divorce or separation. And now suddenly you realize how important it is to you to have that companionship.

Need Spiritual Hunger and Thirst

Now suddenly close relationships become a big priority to you. Well, what's it going to take to make you hungry? What's it going to take to make you thirsty? If you're not hungry or thirsty, you're not knocking at heaven's door and saying, please, I'm starving. Please, I'm dying of thirst.

See, that's the kind of prayer that moves the hand of God. Earnest passion and desire. Now, spiritual desires are a bit different to our natural desires.

Freedom From Sickness

And these can actually lead to ministry. Now, maybe your experience with sickness stirs you up to realize that so many people are suffering and you cry out to the Lord to say, Lord, I know that you can heal. Lord, take me and use me as a vessel of blessing that I can bring healing to all of your children that are sick and dying.

Children being left as orphans because their parents are dying. Perhaps your experience with financial lack stirs up a desire for you to say, Lord, I'd like an anointing for prosperity. I'd like to bless people.

I'd like to pray for them and see you work miraculously in their lives, Lord. Perhaps your experience with bad relationships makes you realize how important it is to minister to people, to minister to couples that need to come together, to deal with people who have marital problems, to pray the power of God into people's situations, to set them free. Perhaps it takes some of these things.

And instead of looking at your own needs, you now project this into a desire to be used by God in ministry. And this is really the main thing I want to emphasize today is having the power of God to minister to others. We struggle in this world with the enemies, which are the world and the flesh, our sinful nature, and the devil with all his demons.

Spiritual Desires Can Lead to Ministry

Perhaps as you see this, a desire arises in you to see believers overcoming this world system. The church today is failing to meet the needs, the everyday needs of God's people. And instead of receiving what they need, they're going to the world and they're getting from the world what God could be giving them.

If they were just those who would stand up and be counted and say, Lord, I want you to anoint me. I want you to use me. I want you to empower me to minister to your people.

Perhaps you desire to see people being delivered from spiritual bondage. You've seen those who are bound in sin, bound by demons, bound with sinful habits that they can't break free of. And no amount of encouragement or counsel seems to help.

You need something more. You need a supernatural power of God to intervene in the lives of people and to bring change. And then perhaps you see believers who have drifted away from the world and it's not that important to them anymore.

It's kind of like what happens in a marriage. When you first get married and you have that first love and that romantic, exciting love, it's so wonderful, but eventually it grows stale. And sometimes our relationship with the Lord grows stale.

Desire to See Believers Return To First Love

And we drift away from him. Perhaps you have a desire to see believers return to their first love. You remember what it was like when you first fell in love? See, that's first love.

It's a very special experience. Well, how do we get people to come back to their first love for the Lord? Sometimes you feel you want to take them and shake them and say, wake up, man. Don't you realize what you've got? It's going to take the power of God to do that by a process known as revival.

And everybody's praying for revival because of the good blessings that it brings. It brings members into the church and helps churches to grow. The tithes increase.

Everybody's praying for revival so that their ministry will flourish. But the true passion for revival is, oh Lord, get your people to fall in love with you again, Lord. Oh Lord, that your people would return to their first love and their hearts will be stirred with a passion for you, Lord.

That's the heart for revival, folks. And it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to bring that. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit to make life exciting.

Not going out into the cesspools of this world and trying to get fun out there. The psalmist knew this. He said in Psalm 16, 11, you will make known to me the way to revival.

In your presence, there is joy that fully satisfies. At your right hand, there are pleasures that last forever. It takes the anointing of God.

Takes The Anointing of God

It takes the anointing of God to accomplish these things in people's lives. And it's going to take the anointing of God on you for God to use you as a channel of his blessing and to influence the lives of other people. You need God's power to minister effectively.

Perhaps you've wished at times that you could function in the gifts of the Spirit. Perhaps you wish you could preach or teach with power. Perhaps you'd like to see lives changed when you pray for people to see God touch them and transform them.

Perhaps you've looked at others who are being used by the Lord. You've looked at those who are called the generals of the past. Mighty men and women who were used so tremendously by the Lord in times past.

You look at the current spiritual leaders that are moving in God's power and are being used by the Lord. And you say, oh Lord, I wish you could use me like you're using them. I wish you could use me like you used some of those generals of the past.

Must Be a Core Desire

Is that desire strong enough in you? Is it an earnest desire? Is it a passion? Then you've already fulfilled the first requirement to receive all of that anointing from the Lord. But how do we get it? How do we get it? Sometimes you feel left out. Sometimes you say, well, you know, I'm just not one of the lucky ones.

You know, I've tried reading the stories of all these people who are really used by the Lord to try and somehow find out if there's a secret there, if there's a principle that I can apply. And sometimes it's just nothing. Just for some reason God decided to use somebody.

At least that's what it looks like. Because nobody really, I think, even understands themselves, how they got there. And so you try to get closer to the Lord.

Oh, if God's going to use me in signs and wonders to heal the sick and to transform people's lives, then I need to walk very close to the Lord. Have you tried that? It doesn't work, does it? It doesn't work. You may have a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord and your own spiritual life feeling good, but there's no power! It doesn't come that way, folks.

My Personal Experience

Somehow you just can't break through to the power. I started that way a long time ago. The Lord called me in my early 20s, 21, placed his call on my life and immediately I got a passion to be used by God.

I had these great big visions of standing up and preaching to crowds and praying for the people and God doing amazing things. But nothing ever came easy. Nothing was automatic.

In fact, I struggled even just to get the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and it's big in town. I've told my story plenty in other places, so I'm not going to go into details, but I want to share one of my experiences with you today, which is very important and we're going to bring me to the crux of what I'm teaching today. I didn't give you the title of my message.

It's the arm of faith. And I'm going to show you now what the arm of faith is. I struggled to get the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

I grew up in Pentecost. Everybody around me was filled with the Spirit and speaking in tongues, except me. I went forward for prayer every time they gave an invitation for anybody who wanted to come and receive the Spirit.

It just didn't want to happen for me. And then I had an experience of the Lord the one day when I walked into a room where a lot of people were praying and the power of God was present. And God touched me and convicted me of my sin and somehow, even though I'd grown up as a Christian, somehow there I had an experience that was probably my first real dynamic born-again experience.

And the power of God changed my life. But I came away from there excited for the Lord. My first love was back, but I still couldn't speak in tongues.

And I struggled to speak in tongues. I'll share with you shortly how I overcame that. Then I wanted to preach and I had to learn how to preach.

Well, I didn't have a chance to go to Bible school to learn how to preach. I'd studied on my own. And so God had to teach me how to preach.

And then nobody recognized me. You know, I'd go to churches and they'd just promote me to usher or something like that. You know, eventually somebody recognized me and put me into ministry and I was there for a short while because the situation in the country I had to leave and there I was back again.

So nothing ever came easy for me. Now God taught me the arm of faith when I learned to receive the ability to speak in tongues. You know, at first I just wanted it because everybody else had it.

I mean, even the kids were speaking in tongues and here I was like in my 20s still not speaking in tongues. That's quite a humiliating experience. I even became youth leader at the church and all the young people under me could speak in tongues, but the youth leader couldn't speak in tongues.

It's a terrible situation. And I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried everything. Eventually, I started saying, okay, Lord, what's wrong with me? Maybe I use my tongue and I criticize.

Maybe I use bad language. What is it that you won't give me tongues? What is wrong with me, Lord? What must I do to get this? Now one day I reached the height of frustration and desire and I went into my lounge alone to pray and I said, Lord, I want it and I want it now. Now tell me what I must do.

Unexpected Answer

What is wrong? And God did something for me there that he's never done since and it seldom works if you try this. In my frustration, I opened my Bible and put my finger on a verse. Now don't try that because you'll always get the wrong stuff.

But that day it worked. I opened my Bible and I put my finger on a verse and this is the verse that I read Galatians chapter 3 and verse 2.

Galatians 3: 2 The only thing I would like to find out is this, Did you receive the Spirit by carrying out the law, or by believing what you heard? [GBMV]

It hit me right between the eyes.

The Lord said you're trying by works to get what only comes by faith. Well, I was a bit like Gideon. I wanted another sign.

So I said, Lord, you can do this again. So I closed my Bible and opened it again and put my finger on the next verse and would you believe I actually opened it the same chapter and I put my finger on a different verse in the same chapter. And it's Galatians chapter 3 and verse 5 and this is what it says.

Galatians 3: 5 He therefore that supplies to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, [does he do it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? [GBMV]

Okay, I got the message twice in a row. It takes faith dummy, not works. Okay, Lord, I got it.

The Arm of Faith

It takes faith, faith. Uh, what does that mean? How do I receive in faith? How do I exercise faith? What is faith? Well, everybody uses this word that's thrown around all the time. I said, Lord, I need faith and I need you to show me how to get faith to receive.

And so I just sat there and said, okay, Lord, I have to receive it from you by faith. So Lord, I don't know if I've got faith, but I'm going to try as hard as I can to believe. I'm going to try as hard as I can.

And I saw myself reaching up my hand like that and saying, Lord, in faith, I'm reaching out and I'm receiving from you the thing that I desire. And I could see myself grabbing it like this and holding it and pulling it towards me. Something happened.

Something amazing happened. I felt, I felt something in my spoon and said, you've got it. I said, okay, Lord, let's try and speak in tongues again.

Now, I tried all sorts of things. I tried speaking gibberish. I tried taking tongues that I heard somebody else say, speak it over and over again.

It didn't work. And so I tried again and I started to speak and something came out of my mouth that had never come out of my mouth before. Was it junk? Was it tongues? I didn't feel anything.

I just, was that tongues? Let's try it again. And I spoke again. A couple of words came out.

I thought, is that tongues? Tried it a few times. I said, Lord, I don't even know if this is tongues because I don't know what, I don't know what tongue sounds like. I mean, I've heard other people say it, but I don't know if this is tongues.

Asking For A Sign

And I asked the Lord for a sign. I said, Lord, give me, if this is tongues, let me speak in a language that I can recognize as a worldly and earthly language. And if there's one language that I knew, it was some of the African dialects.

I tried to learn Zulu and there are three different clicks in Zulu. And I never, I just battled to get those trying to learn Zulu. I said, Lord, give me a language that's got clicks in it, which I struggled to do.

And I'll know that this is tongues. And I opened my mouth and I began to click all over the place. I said, thank you, Lord.

I got it. And I carried on speaking. And then I began to feel his presence.

I began to feel his anointing. See, I used the arm of faith Well, what does it look like? It looks like an arm. It's your arm.

So just imagine now you're taking this. This is my arm of faith. Okay, I'm left-handed.

So I use my left. You probably use your right. Okay, Lord, this is my arm of faith.

This is what I want from you. Well, where is it coming from? The heavenly realm, where God is. So, take your arm and shove it into the heavenly realm and then grab hold of what you want.

Now, hold on to it and pull it towards you and bring it back down into this earth. Now, I want to explain to you the verse that we read at the beginning. And I'll explain to you the translation that I've done, which is correct according to the Greek.

The original Mark 11 24 says, what thingssoever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them. One of the strongest verses promoted by the Word of Faith originated by Kenneth Hagin, Sr. As I began to look into the scriptures, having studied some Greek, I began to pull this verse apart and to look at it. And I saw that the Lord was saying, firstly, whatever things you desire is a Greek tense called the middle voice.

And the middle voice is something that always means you're doing it for yourself. See, in English, we have the active voice where you do something, the passive voice, where it gets done to you. In Greek, they have the middle voice, which means I'm doing it for myself.

So, when the Lord said, whatever things you're desiring, He's saying desiring for yourself. It's a middle tense. Okay.

And then He says, while you're praying, not just when you pray, it's a present continuous tense. While you are in the process of praying, believe that you receive it. When I looked at that word receive, and you know, we often think of receive as somebody gave me a gift and I received it.

No, that word in the Greek receive means to take hold of with your hands and to grab, to take it, to seize it. And you must do it believing. Which requires faith.

And so the verse actually says, no matter what you're asking for yourself, while you are praying, reach out and take hold of it by faith. It's going to be yours. That's the arm of faith.

Learning to function in other gifts

Well, I learned to get the speaking in tongues using the arm of faith. And then I wanted more from the Lord, because I read that the Bible says if you pray in tongues, you should pray that you can also interpret. So I reached out to the Lord for the ability to interpret.

And I began to interpret my own tongues. I reached out for the Lord for the ability to prophesy, because I read in the scripture, you may all prophesy, until I received the opportunity to prophesy. Now these things didn't always happen instantly or overnight.

Sometimes I had to reach out and believe that I'd received it and then wait for it to manifest. Before it manifested. I reached out and asked the Lord for the gift of prophecy, but it didn't come for a while.

And one day as I was praying with somebody, suddenly the Lord said, okay prophesy. And out it came. Amazing.

Counseling by the Spirit

As my ministry progressed, I realized that I was led to help people prepare for the call of God on their life. And I had a strong desire to to counsel people firstly. And I read a book once of a group of people.

Now I'd studied all the counseling and I would counsel them using principles. But I read of a group of people, they had this center where people would come for counseling and instead of them sitting down and taking them through a counseling process, they would just pray for them and God would reveal to them what the person's problem was and they'll pray the person through. I thought I'd like to do that.

That's much easier than sitting down and spending hours going through counseling. I'd like to do that. Lord, I'd like to bring deliverance to people.

I need revelation. And I began to reach out to the Lord for the gifts of revelation. And that's how my prophetic ministry began.

Helping Identify Ministries

As I learned to identify ministries, I asked God to show me what his calling was on people's lives so that I could get revelation now as a prophet and release people into their ministries. And then when it came to all of the other needs, all the needs of the hurts that we experience in life, my heart cried out for those who like me had had so many bad experiences and needed the touch of God to heal them from the scars of those past hurts and experiences. And God gave me the anointing to minister inner healing.

From there then led to ministering physical healing to the bodies. And then I said, Lord, I want to have the anointing power to minister to people to get them to fall in love with you again. I want the revival anointing, Lord.

I want a revival anointing that when I pray and I preach, your power goes out and zaps them like a lightning bolt. Well, I've only just received that one recently and it hasn't manifested yet, but it's coming. Get ready for it.

It's coming. I want to see people fall in love with the Lord all over again. Just as a result of my ministry and my prayer, I want to see the Holy Spirit hitting them, bringing them back, reviving them, bringing them back to first love.

That's a passion. That's an earnest desire. And I believe I'm going to see it manifest soon in my ministry.

Everything you ever desire from the Lord comes the same way

So everything you desire from the Lord comes the same way. It originates in the heavenly realm and it's got to get brought down to earth. Now that applies as much to getting the anointing of God as what it does to getting things.

Now, there's lots of principles involved in receiving from the Lord. I've just shared one with you today, which I call the arm of faith. But in my series, The Way of Blessing, which is a three volume book, three book volume series.

If you've never read The Way of Blessing and you're wanting God's blessing in your life, I highly recommend you get those books. They're available in our bookshop in ebook format. You can get them from Amazon in printed form.

And if you need them in printed form and you're here in South Africa, we can have them made for you as well. But central to all of those is the arm of faith. Now, it's not difficult to use the arm of faith.

You may think, well, I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Okay, close your eyes and imagine that you're raising your arm now. Can you do that? Raise your arm as your eyes are closed and I want you to see that you are pushing your arm out of this world through a barrier into the heavenly realm, the spiritual realm.

Only see your arms penetrating into that realm where God is. And in that realm is the thing that you need from God because God provides from his realm. So what is it you're needing from the Lord today? It can be in the realm of health or prosperity or relationships.

But especially I want to speak to those who desire to be used by God, who want his anointing to be on their life. You don't have to look back on the generals and say they were lucky. God chose them.

You don't need to look at those who are functioning publicly today in ministry and say they're so lucky. God chose them. Now God doesn't just choose some people to be used.

His power is available to every one of us. He said these signs will follow those who believe. What do you desire from the Lord? What kind of ministry do you want to do? And above all, is this a passionate desire? Is this so important to you that you'll drop everything else in your life for that thing? Is that that important to you? If it's not that important to you then I don't recommend that you walk with me through the next few steps that I'm going to take you now.

Lift Your Arm of Faith

But if you mean business with God and you want to see him anoint you and use you mightily by his spirit, then I want you to lift your arm of faith with me in the spirit now. And I want you to tell the Lord what you desire. The first requirement that Jesus had from everybody that he ministered to.

What is it that you want from me? How do you want God to use you? What kind of ministry do you desire? What image can you see of yourself as you stand to minister for the Lord? I want you to see that very clearly and I want you to tell the Lord, Lord, this is what I want. I want you to be very specific on what you want. Can you see it? You got it? Can you visualize yourself ministering in that way? Good.

Now God says, yes. Yes, you can have it. And that anointing is waiting for you now in my presence, in the heavenly realm.

All you need to do is to reach out with your arm of faith and grab hold of it. Grab hold of it and hold it tightly. Don't ever let it go.

Can you do that now? Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus, I reach up. And I thank you for your anointing. I thank you for your power.

I thank you for the gifts of the spirit. I thank you for using me to preach and to teach and to minister to your people, to prophesy. To build churches, whatever it is.

Reach out Lord and I take it now. Now pull it back down out of the heavenly realm. And pull it to your heart and say, by faith I have received.

By faith now I receive the answer to my desire. And I started thanking for it. Started thanking for it.

And every day from now on thank him that he has given it to you. And then wait with eager anticipation for the day it manifests. And it will manifest.

As you keep it in your heart and mind, as you keep remembering today, the day you reached out and you received it, as you keep thanking him for it again and again, as you keep confessing with your mouth, I have received, I am anointed, I minister by the power of God. There is nothing in this world that can stop you from rising up in that anointing and in that power and being used by the Lord. I thank you Father for each one that reached out now and received.

May you confirm this to them. May you give them signs that you have answered their prayer. And may the manifestation come quickly Lord.

May you lift your people up and anoint them and use them mightily in your name. For your glory. I ask it in Jesus name.

Amen.
