Lecture 1
Come your kingdom, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And I'm going to skip to verse 13, which says, And do not bring us into a place of being tested, but rescue us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory.
Amen. Now that last phrase, for some reason is left out of some of the older manuscripts. Some Bible translations leave it out altogether.
Some churches, when they say the Lord's Prayer, leave that part out. But just in case you figure that, well, is that correct or not? I want to show you that the same principle is actually given somewhere else. So it lines up perfectly with scripture.
And so I'm going to show you from the Old Testament, something very similar. 1 Corinthians, sorry, 1 Chronicles chapter 29 and verse 11. This is David praying a prayer just before he handed things over to Solomon.
He said, Yours, O Lord Yahweh, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty for all that is in heaven and the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord. You are exalted as head above all.
I kind of wish the Lord would put that into the Lord's Prayer because it's so much more expressive, so much more powerful. But I want you to see that there are three elements mentioned here that make up the spiritual realm in which we live. And they're mentioned in both the Lord's Prayer and in David's Prayer.
They are the kingdom, the power, and the glory. Now we've been looking a lot at the glory. Now we're going to be covering a lot more ground.
I'm going to start at the bottom and work back up to the glory again. These three all work together and lead into one another. We start out in the kingdom, then we lead into the power, and then we walk in the glory.
So it's very important that we understand these dimensions. The kingdom speaks of authority. Now this is a huge subject which I could probably do a whole series on.
It's a subject that a lot of people, they use the term. They speak about kingdom living and doing things in the kingdom. I tried looking up to see what other people have written, to see what books I could find on the kingdom.
And they were conspicuous by their absence. It seems to me nobody really knows what the kingdom is. People spout it all over the place.
I'm living in the kingdom, I'm digging kingdom this and kingdom that. You don't even know what you're talking about. Some of them have got warped ideas on the kingdom and they impose some of their own personal viewpoints on it.
But I couldn't find anything and I was, you know, prepared to pay to get at least a good book somewhere out there where somebody would lay out at least something that God showed me. I couldn't find it. I'm not saying it isn't out there, I just couldn't find it.
So I'm going to give you my version, which I believe is God's version. I've been on the way for a while. I've been teaching the word for a long time.
I think I've got enough foundation to explain the kingdom of God. Okay, let's look at this word kingdom. What is a kingdom? A kingdom is a region that's ruled by a king or a queen.
We don't have much of it these days because kings and queens have become obsolete. The British Empire is about the only one that's really holding onto it and a couple of other little countries out there. But the scripture uses the term all the time because God is portrayed as a king.
And so the allegory of a king and a kingdom, the scripture is full of it from Genesis to Revelation. It's there all the way through. So we need to understand what the scripture is speaking about when it speaks of kingdom.
And our king or a queen has authority to command and demand. We call that reigning. When you reign as a monarch, you have the authority to make commands and decrees.
And results come from just a word. One word spoken. Kill him.
That's it. It's done. He's dead.
The word of the king is supreme. The word of the king brings immediate results as the king carries authority. Well, then let's look at the kingdom of God.
What is the kingdom of God? The kingdom of God is the region which is under God's command. Where does God reign? There's actually three places that God reigns. The first one is obvious.
It's in heaven. And then God reigns in the earth. And he also reigns in what we call the underworld.
The scripture also calls the realm of darkness. Now, when God made man, he gave him the authority to reign in the earth. Adam and Eve were king and queen in this earth.
And they were created. God gave them dominion. He said, you run the earth now as kings and queens.
You dominate and control and keep it in order. That's the way God created it. Now, God didn't give Adam authority in heaven.
And he didn't give him authority in the underworld. He only gave him authority in the earth. But guess what? Satan came along and very subtly, through tempting them to sin, got them to hand the authority over to him.
Satan now became the king and the God of this world. Mankind now came under Satan's authority. But it wasn't that way from the beginning.
Man had the authority to rule and reign in this earth. Now, here's something you need to be very clear of. Satan is not a king.
You know, we often like to speak about the kingdom of darkness. And it's really just because we're used to referring to a realm as a kingdom. But actually, Satan is not a king.
He's never called king. He's known as the prince of the power of the air. Satan is only a prince.
He only has authority over a principality, which is not quite the same as a kingdom. So, tell me, who has the greater authority, a king or a prince? We know a prince, Charles, he can't tell mom what to do, can he? See, he's only a prince. One of these days, he'll get the chance to ascend to the throne and become king, and then he can.
But right now, he's a prince. And Satan, folks, is a prince. He's not a king.
Well, he thinks he's king in this world. But the only reason that he is, is because the real king, Adam, gave him that permission. Can you see that? Satan is a fallen archangel.
And the only authority that he has is over his demons, his underlings, who were under him and fell with him. They were lower-level angels. He was an archangel, which is one of the highest category of angels that God created, and all the other angels underneath him.
So, his only authority actually is over his own demons. Now, Jesus came to restore the kingship to mankind. Jesus brought the kingdom back to earth.
And now that he's done that, he gives us back that authority. That means that all believers are now kings again. And do you know what? We got more than Adam had, because Adam could only be a king in this world.
But because of Calvary, and because we are now in Christ, we have ascended up, and we now have authority in all three realms. Philippians 2 verse 10 says, so that in the name of Jesus, every knee should bow. Those who are in heaven, those who are on earth, those who are in the world below, the realm of the dead.
We reign over the angels. We reign over the demons. And we reign over this world through him.
You say, well, you know, I've tried, but it doesn't always work. That's part I want to try and teach you today. And I'm only going to get into the introduction of the subject.
It's so big. We're going to be covering this for a while in far more detail. Romans 5 verse 17 says, for if by one man's offense, death reigned by one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
You're beginning to understand the kingdom a little bit. Okay, let's look at the power. The power goes beyond authority.
You see, the kingdom gives the power of authority. The dunamis power of God gives not only the power of authority, but the power of ability. It's dynamic.
And it comes from the Holy Spirit. And it's offered to all believers. Now, from the moment we are born again into the kingdom of God, we get the authority and the right to use the name of Jesus, which is the greatest name and carries all the authority in the universe.
But to receive the power is not automatic. Jesus gave to his disciples authority over sickness, disease, even death, over demon powers. He gave them that authority and sent them out.
Just before he ascended, he said, now you guys, you need more. Go and wait in Jerusalem. And I'm going to give you more.
Acts 1 verse 8 says, but you will receive dynamic power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. To get the power, you need the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It's a new relationship with God that adds to the power of authority that you already have. And then we have the glory. What is the glory? The glory speaks of God's radiant presence.
And how does that come? It comes from spending time in his presence. When you do that, the Holy Spirit causes an increase in the anointing. And we begin to glow and radiate the very power and presence of God himself.
So can you see there's a progression? We start with the kingdom, we move into the power, move into the glory. Originally, that's what Jesus had. But since Calvary, he's now given that to us.
And we can become as him in this world. We are to do all in the name of Jesus. And that doesn't mean just using the words, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
To do something in a person's name means to do on their behalf with their full authority and permission. In other words, to act just like them. And as I've taught in the past, if you want to use the name of Jesus, you must become the name of Jesus.
Therefore, when you stand in that authority and in that power, the enemy sees Jesus, doesn't see you. Now let's try and understand the kingdom of God a little bit more. God has made us kings under Jesus.
That's why he's called the king of kings. He's not the king of peasants. He's the king of kings.
That means his kingdom is run by kings. It's just an ordinary little believer. He calls you a king or a queen.
You see that? So the kingdom of God, Jesus said, is within you. And as you stand in his name and become his name and stand in that kingdom, you become as Christ. You become a king in this world.
Now this authority does not come by our own goodness. There's only one way you can enter into the kingdom, and that is by faith. Now here's the part we often miss.
The authority also has to be wielded in faith. Otherwise it doesn't work. How do I know that? We read in the scriptures a case where a man brought his son to the disciples who was demon possessed, and they tried to cast out the demon and it wouldn't come out.
And so they brought him to Jesus, and Jesus rebuked it and cast it out immediately. Now did the disciples have authority to cast out demons? They certainly did. Jesus said, I give you authority of all unclean things, and spirits, not only some of them.
Jesus didn't say, well, I'm giving you guys authority only over the lower level demons, but the higher ones you'll have to leave to me. He didn't say that. So they had authority to cast the demon out, but they couldn't.
They were a bit confused themselves. First time that happened to me, the demons always listened. They said, Lord, what happened? Why couldn't we cast it out? Is it because of your unbelief, or what's unbelief? Lack of faith.
So don't brag that you've got authority. If you don't have faith to wield that authority, it's worth nothing. Just because you are a king in the spiritual realm does not mean you can automatically command.
How many people have found that commanding doesn't work? They come with a sickness and disease. They come with demonic attack. They take authority, and healing doesn't come.
Deliverance doesn't come. I read testimonies of people who tried everything. They went to all the healing preachers and evangelists to be prayed for and couldn't get healed.
Why? Because every one of these things requires faith. Even if you're going to somebody else who has an anointing, and we'll talk about that next time, you need to have faith to pull on that anointing. And so I've read of cases of people who took about a year to develop enough faith to get healed.
Well, why did it take them so long to get healed? Because that's how long it took them to develop their faith. He said, well, you know, I was praying with somebody, and this demon manifested. And I said, come out! And the demon answered back, and he said, no, I won't.
She's mine. If you've ever had that experience, get ready for it's going to happen one of these days. This time I tried to get into that.
I got attacked so strong I couldn't sleep at night. I was full of fear. It took me quite a few months to build my faith to the point where I realized I had authority.
My pastor at that time said to me, Les, don't you realize that Satan's actually scared of you? I'd like to believe that. See, I'd also like to believe that by his stripes I was healed, but you know, I'm not. It takes faith, folks.
Faith is not automatic. So the next million dollar question is, so how does faith come? Ah, yes. You're all going to quote me Romans 10 verse 17.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Do you understand what that verse means? Do you? If you did, you'd know how to use it to get faith. But you don't, do you? So let me explain it to you.
I've re-translated this verse in the version, which makes it a bit more clear. Do you understand? Goes like this. So then faith comes as the result of hearing, and hearing by means of the spoken word of God.
God's kind of faith comes only from God's words. But every word that you hear actually produces faith in you. But not much of that's the God kind of faith.
We believe the words that we hear the most. Somebody tells you something often enough, eventually you begin to hear it. If you were continually told as you were growing up that you were stupid, you eventually have faith in that fact that you're stupid.
And you don't buy it. You see, faith comes automatically, folks. We don't have to try.
Comes automatically according to what we hear. Now, what are you hearing? See, we believe the things we hear the most. We believe the medical reports and the symptoms of diseases.
See, I'm walking along and suddenly there's a pain. Yeah, nothing. It's on the left side.
Pain on the left side, pending heart attack. Let's feel kind of pushing even more. All the symptoms are there.
Heart attack coming. And you know, some people feel called to motivate this. I see even on Christian sites sometimes.
Five ways to know if a heart attack is coming. Six ways to know if you're pending a stroke. You go and read that you've got faith that you're going to die and you will.
You just don't realize the power of it. So I just wanted to know, you know? Yeah, I'm guilty of it. You know, I know more than the doctor sometimes because I look it all up online.
Truth be told, sometimes I've told the doctor what my problem is and he didn't you got it wrong. I was right. But you see, it produces fear.
It doesn't produce faith. It produces the mentality that I'm a victim. This thing has attacked me.
I now am sick and suffering and in a bad state. That's where your faith is. We believe the world's reports concerning our finances.
You're just a second rate citizen. You don't earn enough pay. You don't live in the right community.
You're just poor. In the old days, I grew up in a white society. You were known as a poor white if you were poor.
I grew up in a community that was known as the poor whites. So I naturally believed I'm a poor white. And you know what? I was a poor white.
That's what my faith was. I just wasn't born into the right family. You know, we just my folks never had the right kind of qualification and high earning jobs.
We believe the lies of the enemy. We believe the world when it looks down on us and says you poor, you're low class, you're not good enough. If you listen to those words often enough and you believe them, there's where your faith is.
Your faith is going to work for you because faith always works. Faith always works. Faith will always get you what you believe.
Do you know that? Our big subject, faith. We believe the words of others concerning our relationships. You know, you're so ugly, nobody will ever look at you.
You don't fit our standard. You're not one of the beautiful people. You're too tall, you're too short, you're too fat, you're too thin.
We think I'm just useless. Everybody else out there, they got it. You know, with this tiny little obscure ministry and nobody even knows we exist.
People out there are world famous and they can't preach their way out of a paper bag. Well, I guess it's my lot. I'm supposed to stay humble and obscure.
And hidden away. Because that's my lot. To even build some doctrine into it.
That's the will of God. It's called humility. I won't lift myself up and exalt myself anyway, because I must be humble.
I mustn't want to be rich because that's arrogance. I'm just going to be poor, humble little me and just be happy. That's my lot in life.
You see where your faith is? You've been reading the wrong books, been listening to the wrong things. You've been filling your mind with the wrong words, folks. That's why you came to that conclusion.
So how do we get the God kind of faith? It's so obvious that we miss it. Listen to more of God's words. How much time every day are you listening to God's words? And how much time of your day are you listening to the words of this world and of other people? Come on.
How can we listen to God's words? You know the interesting thing about that verse? It says faith comes by hearing the spoken word. See the Greek word for word there is the Greek word rhema, which speaks of an active word while it's still on the lips. See what we normally call the word, the Bible scriptures, is logos, which is a written down word, which we read.
But a spoken word is a live word that had been spoken to you right now. And it has a very different effect on you to a written down word. Because when you read the written down word, you say, oh yes, that was Paul writing to the Galatians.
That was Jesus speaking to the Jews. That was for somebody else. Because that's who he was talking to at the time.
That's why you need to hear God's words spoken to you and to you alone. But how are we going to do that? You're going to have to go beyond reading. Yeah, I know reading helps, but how much do you remember what you read? Come on.
Did you re-quote these verses that I've read for you today? Oh yeah, you said something about? You can't remember them. You're probably going to remember something a little bit more because you heard me preach them. You probably didn't notice some of these things when you read it originally.
Now that I'm speaking it, there's a little bit more coming out. See, so how do you put yourself in a place where you can hear God's word? Well, I suggest you try this. When you read your Bible, I didn't say if you read your Bible, did you notice? When you read your Bible, try reading out loud.
Hey, it'll give you speech good practice, might give you confidence to stand up and talk. You can do amazing things, improve your elocution and your language. But it's going to do more than that because if you keep hearing those words, after a while, you'll start to believe them.
I'm not saying that doesn't happen when we study. It does. But you see, the key is repetition.
Some years ago when I got turned on the call of God and decided to prepare for the ministry, I went and enrolled in a correspondence course to start studying doctrine, Bible doctrine. Oh, they gave us this good book of doctrine and I picked it up and I read it and I, I never heard that before. Our pastor never preached that.
How can people believe this stuff? It was just totally, totally different to anything I ever believed or heard. Yeah, well, I discovered there was different divergences of doctrine and there were two main branches known as Calvinism and Arminianism and I grew up under pastors who were very Arminian. Turns out all the study books were Calvinistic.
I thought, wow, how can people believe that stuff? But you know, every second book I picked up came from the same point of view and that point of view was God is sovereign and does what he chooses. I always kind of thought it depended on me and I struggled with that. I thought, but nah, surely, surely I still have a responsibility.
But you know, as I continued to study and regurgitate all of these things, bring them in, began to speak them, one day, I can't tell you how long it took, I can't even tell you the day, but one day I got up and I believed Calvinism. It just made such sense. It was obvious.
I didn't see it before. I mean, so clearly the truth. How did that happen? Repetition of the same words over and over and over again.
See now, if you've grown up believing that God doesn't heal anymore, you've come to believe it. You've come to accept it. You don't question it.
You need to get under hearing words that are based on faith and tell you what you have. And I'm going to get into that shortly and I must hurry or I'm going to run out of time. So speaking the scriptures out loud when you read them can be very powerful.
You could play the audio Bible. They got some nice ones. You can get them free online.
The NIV has got an awesome audio version. It's fully dramatized with different voices and sound effects, the whole lot. We looked it up the other day.
You can listen to it online for free. You can buy it. Great.
And you can play it in your car instead of playing the other junk on the way to work. Play the Bible. Play some good preaching tapes.
You're hearing the word, the word. You're hearing the positive words that build faith in you. And then take some key scriptures.
If you're having a problem with your health and you need healing, find some good scriptures in the Bible that teach you on healing and how to be healed. And then do this. Read them out loud.
And then break them up piece by piece. And reword those pieces. Okay.
Let me give you an example. Romans 10 verse 17. So then faith comes as a result of hearing and hearing by means of the spoken raven word of God.
Faith. Faith comes. It comes.
I actually don't have to go looking for it. It comes. Yeah, faith will come to me depending on what I hear.
In other words, no matter what I hear, it's going to result in faith coming to me, whether I want it or not. Right. So I need to be careful what I hear.
See, I'm talking to myself. That's meditation. I'm talking to myself and I'm breaking the scripture down.
Okay. Hearing by means of, okay, the only way I'm going to hear the right kind of things is going to be a means of spoken word of God. Yeah, I've been reading the Bible a lot.
So how can I change that into a spoken word? I need to hear. You know the amazing things if you hear, sometimes those words start repeating in your mind. You wake up in the middle of the night and you hear those words.
See, that's when faith becomes born in you. So you know what? I'm going to make myself hear God's word all the time. And if I do that, what I'm hearing is going to result in faith.
I take some of these scriptures and break them down like that and sink them through. It's meditation. It's muttering.
It's talking to yourself. Go for a walk so you're all on your own so people don't think you're crazy. Talk to yourself and talk over the word like that.
You could try making recordings of the key promises. Don't tell me you don't have the equipment. You've got a phone.
It's got a recording program on it. Do you know what? Just write some of these scriptures out or print them out or have another device that you've got them all listed. If you've got the GBM Bible, I've even actually given you facility in the new version which isn't released yet.
You actually record all promises and key verses and actually save them in a database that you can look them up. I actually created it for myself. I started to learn these things.
Take them and make recordings. Read them into your phone because you know what? You don't often have time to sit down and read, especially out loud. And you certainly can't do it while other people are around.
There's always noise. So make yourself a little recording. You're sitting waiting.
So many things in life make us wait. Doctor's rooms are the worst, aren't they? Well, hopefully you don't need the doctor. Why not just plug in your phone and play some of the recordings? In fact, if you're busy in the doctor's waiting room, you should be playing those verses on healing.
I would say that's a very good time to do it. Find verses for healing. Find verses for provision.
Find verses for favor and good relationships. Record them. Play them over and over again.
Keep listening to them. Now, I created a program many years ago, which we call Wordplay, where I took dozens and dozens of scripture promises and spoke them into a tape recorder and then created a music soundtrack and combined them together. I tell you what, our family and our ministry team and everybody, we used to play to the kids the night before they go to sleep.
I found every time I'm feeling a bit shaky in my face, a bit shaky, I just plug it in and play it in the background. It's just, hey, it's me. But you know what? It's the word.
Over and over again, the music adds an extra touch. It gives it a bit of an entertainment value, so it's not so bad. But it's a bit old.
It was before the days of digital recording. It was done on analog tape recorder. So it's time I do a new one.
So I'm hoping to try some new stuff with that first, and we'll make it available to you. And I will try and create not only the verses, but maybe some of my meditation. Maybe right in the middle of it, I'll say, reach out and get your healing now.
The anointing of God will go out. I don't know. I'm going to give it a try.
I need to listen to it. So if you guys want to listen to it, that would be my development. And we need to bring the kingdom of God to us.
The kingdom was a high priority in Jesus' prayer. One of the first things we were to pray after worshiping him was, come, thy kingdom. Come, it was imperative, a command.
Not, please, Lord, will you bring your kingdom? Do you know what? It's not depending on you. It's actually depending on. It's not depending on you.
On him, it's depending on you. So you're the one that was bringing his kingdom. Therefore, you should be declaring it into the earth.
The kingdom of God comes now. God's will is done in earth now. Top priority in Jesus' prayer.
Before we go asking for, and please, mommy and daddy and uncle and auntie, and provide our needs. We need to bring God's perfect will to this earth. And it's only going to come, folks, when we start to reign.
When we start to be the kings and queens he's called us to be. Now, you need to know the truth. What's the truth? John 8 verse 31 says, then Jesus said to those Jews who believed him, if you hang on to my word, then you truly are, you really are my disciples.
And you will come to know the truth or the real thing. And that truth or reality will set you free. Oh, what's the truth? What is the real thing? God showed this to me, it blew me away.
I knew this, but I didn't know it. Tell me, do you believe that Jesus is the healer? Do you believe that he will heal you of your sicknesses and diseases? Well, if you believe the word, the word tells you a bit more, because the word says that by his stripes you were healed. So what is the truth? What is the real thing? The reality is you are not the sick trying to get healed.
You are already the healed. You just need to destroy, resist the destroyer who's coming to destroy your health. And there's a spirit that's involved in that.
If you've seen my teaching on curses, I've said that there are three main spirits involved. Destruction, theft, and strife. Well, the spirit of destruction is there to steal your health.
Oh, I just wish the Lord would heal me. Lord, please will you heal me? Oh, please pray for me to be healed. You don't know the truth, do you? The truth is you are healed.
You are allowing the destroyer to steal your health. So what should your approach be? The truth is not that you are the poor trying to get rich. Truth is you are already rich.
He made this world for us. You just need to resist the thief who's coming to steal your wealth. This comes from the spirit of theft, which is part of the curse Satan brings into our lives.
We are not the rejected and obscure trying to get favor. Favor, the scripture says, God will surround the righteous with a shield of favor. We already have the favor, folks.
We just need to resist the one who causes strife. It's called by the spirit of strife to destroy the favor and the good relationships we have with others. Now, here's one that might surprise you.
We are not sinners trying to get righteous. We are the righteousness of God in Christ, the scripture says. You are already righteous because of Calvary.
But there are enemies that are trying to steal your righteousness by tempting you to sin. And there's three of them, the devil, the fish, and the world. So instead of trying to get righteous, all you need to do is resist the temptations of the devil, the flesh, and the world to get you back into sin.
Now, you need to understand the power of Satan because the trouble is we give him more credibility than he deserves. Like I said before, he is only a prince. You are a king.
Now, if you're greater than Satan, who's the king, where do his demons sit? Hello, on the rung. Are we struggling with the demons? Here's a king struggling with the peasants. What kind of king are you? See, we have authority as believers in the whole realm of darkness from the top to the bottom.
In the name of Jesus. One time I stood before Lucifer and he tried to attack me directly. I knew that truth and I said, you must bow to the name of Jesus.
And I stand as and in the name of Jesus. Therefore, Satan, Lucifer, you will bow to me. And he knew that I knew.
And he knew that it was true. He bowed to me and then he disappeared. So, why am I fighting these little demons? I've had some of these lower downs.
I've had the infernal trio, Pharaoh and Napoleon, and I deal with him. Every now and then I get one of these lower down princes like the Prince of Kempton Park. Comes thinking he's a big shot.
And I say, you know what? Your boss knows who I am. You better go ask him about me. Go away, you puny little nobody.
Satan, I want you to get this. I want you to get this and don't ever forget it. Satan has no inherent power.
He has no potential inherent power. He is a fallen angel. Now the angels get their power from the presence of God.
Satan was thrown out of the presence of God. Satan only has authority over his demons. He has no inherent power.
He touched you. If he did, he would have killed you already. But he can't.
He said, but hang on, I've seen the power of Satan. I've seen the power of the occult. I've seen the damage that demons can do.
Ah, do you know where they get their power from, folks? From you. Yes, you've got the power. You've got a piece of God sitting inside of you.
And Satan can only use what's in you. Scripture says no temptation has taken you, but such as is common to man. If Satan can convince you that he's got power over you, and you give him that right, he snatches the power out of your spirit and attacks you with it.
You're actually killing yourself. You know, in the thing they have, what they call autoimmune disease, the body starts to fight itself. I can tell you where that started.
Satan has only one ability, the ability to inject thoughts into your mind and to lie to you and to persuade you and somehow convince you that he has power over you. The moment you believe that, you give him the power. Sure enough, he has that power.
Without you, Satan can do nothing in this world. He couldn't do anything until Adam gave it to him. Jesus has now taken that authority back and given to us back in Christ.
Satan still comes with his lies and his persuasions. His only power is the power of suggestion and deception. Folks, when you know the truth, you reject his lies.
When he comes and says, you're sick, you've got cancer, you say, no, I'm healed. I'm healthy. I'm healthy.
So how do we handle Satan? Oh, well, you know, Satan goes around like a roaring lion and he will tear you to shreds. I want to show you that you've misinterpreted that scripture. Let's look at it.
1 Peter 5, verse 8, the GBM version. Remain calm. Pay attention.
Because your enemy, the devil, like a roaring lion, is continually walking around looking for someone that he can swallow up and overwhelm. The original says he's looking for someone to destroy. Now, I looked up the Greek word there and that Greek word is translated destroy there.
It's usually translated as swallow up or drown. I said, but surely there must be some kind of destruction. So I looked up the synonym for the Greek word destroy and I discovered there's another Greek word which certainly does mean to attack and eat and chew up.
That's not the word that's used there. We're afraid of this tough lion who's going to attack us with his big teeth. His teeth were kicked out a long time ago.
All he's got left is the roar. And he can roar very loud, let me tell you. What Satan does, he tries to overwhelm you and lock you in.
He comes with all of his ideas until your feelings are bad because our feelings come from our thoughts. He fills your mind with these negative thoughts until you start to feel bad and eventually you just sit back and you just let him overwhelm you to the point where you want to give up. When you say, where's God? And he's telling you, where's God? What's he done for you? He's not healing you, is he? You cried out to him and you prayed.
You went to everybody and they laid hands on you. You didn't get healed. Where's your God? He doesn't care for you.
Oh, he heals other people. You've seen that. We don't heal you.
You believe his lies, you become overwhelmed. You become ground. There's a scripture in the Old Testament that says, when the enemy comes in like a flood, spirit of God will raise the standard or set him to flight.
He's going to come in like a flood. That's all he wants to do is drown you, swallow you up until you're all locked inside like Jonah in the belly of the whale. See, he can't attack you.
He can't bite you. He can't hurt you. He only lied to you.
When you believe his lies, he takes over. You see that we believed a lie for so long. We believed a lie for so long.
I'm struggling, struggling with this physical ailment. Oh, Lord, please heal me. Oh, Jesus.
I'm crying out to the Lord. Sometimes I'm even confessing the scriptures. By his stripes I was healed.
Hopefully that sooner or later it will get in me. I'm trying to build my faith for healing. But you don't know the truth.
If you fill yourself enough with the word of the word, you'll know the truth. And the truth is that you're already redeemed from that. The truth was that sickness is a curse and Christ redeemed you from the curse.
Christ redeemed us on the cross of Calvary. See, you need to learn these scriptures and let them sit in you over and over again until your faith is built. Oh, Lord, we've got no money to pay the bills this month.
You know, we just barely make it through. My car's falling apart and other people are riding in their big Mercedes and BMWs. It's not fair, Lord.
Tell me, how would you behave if you knew you had all the money in the world in your bank? How would you behave? Okay, you might go on a spending spree for a while, but that gets boring. Rich people don't go on spending sprees. They don't need to.
They need something, they buy it. They know the money's there. There's no lying awake at night worrying about whether I'm going to have enough money.
You know the money's there. That changes the whole way you speak and the whole way you act, doesn't it? I don't know about you, what happens to me when I finally get money in the account? I start thinking all the things I've needed for so long, and that money's gone. Before you can say, where is it? See, I'm thinking like a poor person.
I'm not a poor person. I'm not the poor. I get rich.
I'm the rich. I'm not going to allow that poverty to attack me. Scripture says Satan goes as the roaring lion.
All we need to do is to resist him, resist him and say, oh, no, you don't. You get that pain in your body. What's the first response? I'm healed.
I'm healthy. How dare you? How dare you? Hey, how dare you? You take your pain and take it back to hell with you where you belong. That should be your first response.
Well, you know, we think I better go see a doctor quickly and find out if I'm okay. They need to run me through all the cardiograms and the MRIs and all the big tests to find out whether I'm sick or not. And sure enough, those tests will show you you're sick.
So you believe the tests, don't you? Right. See, that's why I won't go for tests. I'd rather keep my faith in the field.
You know what? Eventually, if you build your faith, things start to fall away until you eventually come to the place where you are walking in divine health, because healing is the bread of the children. Health is my rights. Prosperity is the rights of God's children.
Good favor and popularity and even fame are the rights of we who are kings. Have you ever heard of a king or a queen that wasn't famous? They aren't. They failed to make themselves famous.
Well, how do you become famous? Rise up and show your authority. It's going to happen. Okay, so spiritual warfare has no place in your life, for your needs.
And you are under attack. You don't go into spiritual warfare. The battle has been won and you stand on victory ground.
What you need to do is just keep that victory. You say, well, what about spiritual warfare? You know, I mean, they teach us that in the prophetic school. See, you're never in warfare for yourself.
Satan attacks you, you say, don't you dare try to destroy my health. Don't you dare try to steal my provision. Don't you dare try to create strife.
But for other people, it's different. And you need to start with faith first. You need to learn how to deal with your needs.
And when you do that, your faith will enable you to tap into and begin to flow in the next of the three, which is the anointing. And you know what the anointing is for? For everybody else. The anointing is always for others, never for you.
It's known fact that some of the greatest healing evangelists of the past couldn't believe for their own healing. Smith Wigglesworth was one of the greatest, suffered of the kidney stones. The anointing is not for you.
Oh, I've tried to use the anointing on me. It's not for you, it's for others. See, but you don't need the anointing for you to get healed, because you know how to claim what is your right and your inheritance.
But you need the anointing to help get other people healed. You need faith for that anointing to work. Okay.
You release that power with words. You notice those who flow in a ministry of healing and miracles, they never pray and say, please Lord, would you come and heal? They say in the name of Jesus, be healed. In Jesus name, you spirit of infirmity, I cast you out and I bind you.
You spirit of cancer, I curse you in Jesus name. You leave now. See, that's authority.
That's how the anointing works. But it can be quite tiring. If God's anointed you with his power to heal the sick, you preach into a great crowd and you invite those who need prayer for healing to come forward.
You're going to have this whole healing line because everybody's sick in some way. And you may start off with a big bang. There's great authority and power.
By the time you get to the end of the line, you're exhausted. Some of these guys who've been used like that, they go, they need days to recover. They're physically drained.
Sucks the life out of them. You see, you've got to release the anointing. It's God's anointing.
He's given you that power, but you have to make the choice to release it. So how do we get around that? See, that's what the third dimension's for. The glory.
When you walk in glory, you become a carrier of his presence. He does all the work. Nothing more is required of you.
You don't have to fight darkness when you shine a light. Just bring the light and the darkness flees. When you bring the glory cloud of God, people start to get healed in the audience automatically.
Sometimes you may need to speak a word of revelation, a word of knowledge that God's healing somebody of this, that. It doesn't take a lot of effort to do that. No laying on our hands and praying.
So that's why I started with the glory, because I think the glory is an easier way, don't you? And those who tap into the glory must use their own faith. Well, they're going to use their faith to receive from the anointing in you as well. So faith is there from the beginning to the end.
You can't get away with it. So three principles, the kingdom, the power and the glory, or if you like the authority, the anointing, the glory. And when we come to authority, we need faith.
Kingdom of God is of our subject. We must learn to reign as kings. Once we do that, we learn to help one another to rout the enemy.
And then we can go out and we can bring unbelievers into the kingdom and teach them his ways. I hope today you've been inspired to know who you are. To stop groveling around like a peasant, like a slave.
Start acting like the king or the queen that you are. To stop struggling to get what you already have. It's time you learned to know truth.
Climb into his word. Listen to his word. Fill yourself with the word.
Take time. And then take time in his presence to hear his words that are spoken to you directly. Because you see, when you come in the spirit and walk in fellowship with him, he speaks to you face to face.
And those are also the words of God. And if you hear enough of those words, they will build your faith as well. If you hear the Lord telling you often enough that you are blessed and that he's going to bless you, eventually you will believe it.
But you need to hear it often and repetitively until the faith is automatically born in you. When it does, pow, it comes. It falls over you.
Now, often you have a person who's taken years to get to a place of really moving into things that God has. And then suddenly they appear. And people say, wow, you were an overnight success.
People have been there and say that's the longest night I've ever lived. See? See, my time's coming, one of these days, when I'll start to become more visible in public and walk in far greater prosperity and health and wealth and fame and fortune and everything that goes with it. And people may be tempted to say, boy, you got lucky.
Overnight success, eh? Ask those who know me and you'll find out that's not true. It's just taken me a while to learn these things. You have the privilege of learning them from me without having to live them for 30 or 40 years.
So, take these things, embrace them, apply them, start to walk in the blessing of the Lord and head into that glory. The glory beats any kind of stimulant in this world. You know, if there's no other reason to get in the glory, it's just because of that wonderful feeling it gives.
But it's going to give you far more than that. Keep those three things there. We'll be looking at them more.
We'll be looking more at the anointing. And we'll get back to the glory again. We'll shuttle between these.
I'm going to be preaching the same things over and over again because you need to hear them over and over again. Because if you keep hearing them over and over again, your faith is going to get built. And so the time will come when one day you will say, ah, I get it.
That'll be the day of your deliverance and victory. That'll be the day when you break through to the new level. So, Lord willing, my job is to bring you to that place and everybody who hears this word, which I think are the more people who watch the video.
Not too many are watching this online. But this is gold, folks. Get the word out.
Send the word out. Bring people in. Invite folks.
Tell people. Let's get the word out. Let's help the whole world walk in this awesome blessing and the glory of the Lord.
Father, I thank you for your word. I thank you, Father, for the authority that you've given us in Jesus' name. Thank you for the anointing power of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for the glory of your presence. We can bathe in and walk in. Thank you especially for your word.
It has everything in it that we need to live this kind of life, Lord. I pray that as your word is gone forth today, that it will penetrate, break through, and change the people's thinking. They may know what is the hope of your glory and what is the exceeding greatness of your power toward us who believe.
We may all enter into this place of abundance that you have for us. Pray that each one who's heard this word, listened to it even now, will reach out with the hand of faith and embrace and lay hold on it. To lay hold on it, Lord.
Thank you for that now in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah.
