So, I think it's probably time to upgrade the teaching a little bit. So, some of you may have been through that, if you've been through our courses. If not, well, you're going to get it brand new and fresh today.

I'm going to be sharing with you a bit of what I see in the Word, and a lot of it's going to be based on my own personal experiences with angels, okay? So, it's not just going to be theory today. I'm going to share with you practically from personal experience. The work of angels is the title of my message, and I've just got two verses to read, or two passages.

First one's in Psalms 8, reading from verse 4. What is man that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and majesty. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands. You put all things under his feet.

Then in Hebrews 1, verse 13, it says, But to which of the angels did he say at any time, Sit on my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, being sent out to wait on those who are about to become the heirs of salvation? People make a lot of mistakes when it comes to angels. Sometimes I hear somebody share something on angels, and I shudder and I think, man, you need my teaching. I don't know where you learned that from, but it's wrong, wrong, wrong.

Okay. Now, some people just ignore angels completely. Some people don't even believe the angels are there.

Some people like to think that maybe the angel was there when I nearly had an accident and escaped, that maybe there was an angel protecting me. And sometimes that's all we think angels are there for, just to protect us. Except protection isn't always there, is it? Sometimes we do still have the accidents and things go wrong.

Now, a lot of people go to the opposite extreme and they think that we've got to interact with angels and use them all the time and get them to do things that actually only God can do. Some people are asking the angels to heal. They're asking the angels to do things for them that God has promised for us.

Some people are almost praying to angels. Very, very dangerous. Hey, so today I'm going to try and lay it out scripturally for you and bring some balance and show you what we can and cannot do where angels are concerned.

Okay. Firstly, what are they there for? Well, firstly, they're there to help us as believers who have accepted the Lord as our saviour, who are part of the body of Christ. And as believers, they will sometimes relay to us a message from the Lord.

It will actually come with a message from the Lord. And you've seen that way back in the Old Testament already where angels would appear with a word, a message from the Lord to a person. Angels help us to deal with the demons that come against us.

They're there to assist us in our spiritual warfare. And they're also there to help us to praise and worship. Now, we had a bit of praise and worship today and we didn't see them, but the chances are there were angels here.

Now, I normally see them in the spirit. I didn't really see any angels here today, but I'll be sharing more about how the worship angels work. But angels can help us to come into the presence of the Lord and to worship him.

And there are angels even that help us to experience the glory of God. There's a certain category of angel that I've seen in the spirit that literally glows and shines with the glory of God. They usually appear with the worship angels.

When they do, they bring a real mighty presence of God. They bring that glory of God into the meeting. Because they've been in the glory of God and they come from his presence.

They come with that thing all around them. Now, angels are also there to make things happen in the earth. Angels arrange circumstances.

They arrange meetings between people. Oh, your ears perked up then, didn't you? You wanted to meet somebody? Your angel's going to be involved there. Did you know that? Some years ago, when I faced being single again after many years, it was hard enough to find a wife the first time.

When you're older, it's really difficult. And I said, Lord, how am I going to find this wife? And you promised me. And the Lord showed me a picture and I saw her with angels all around her.

And I saw me standing here with angels all around me. And he said, my angels are going to bring the two of you together. They're going to arrange the circumstances.

And they sure did. Of course, I didn't know where to go looking. I didn't know how to go looking.

But God arranged it and his angels brought us together. That's part of the job of angels. Angels can arrange financial provision.

They can arrange for you to find a new job. They can arrange for business opportunities to come your way. They can even arrange for people to be led to give you money.

And angels, they remove the elements of danger in our lives. Sometimes those elements are people. You have a toxic character in your life who's causing a lot of problems.

Don't take it into your own hands. Hand it over to the angels. That person at work who's really been just getting in your way and stopping you from serving the Lord and progressing.

You might suddenly get a transfer or decide to resign and leave. You know that happens. An angel got involved there and did some of the work.

See, these are the kind of things that angels can do for us. Now, how do we detect, become aware of, or even see angels? Well, I'm afraid there's actually only one way that you will actually get to see an angel. And it's by the same gift of the spirit by which you get to see demons.

That's the gift of the discerning of spirits. If you do not operate in the gift of discerning of spirits, you may sense the influence and see the effects of angels, but you will not actually see an angel. And I'll be sharing a little bit further on that as we look at your angel.

What about demons? Demons were actually originally angels. Scripture says that one third of the angels of heaven fell with Lucifer when he was cast out of heaven. Those were actually worship angels, which I'll share with you shortly.

Now, angels, although they are spiritual in nature, they actually have a body. But when the demons were cast out of heaven, they lost their angelic heavenly body. So they are now disembodied spirits going around finding a human body to inhabit because they don't have a body of their own.

And that's why demons possess people. Angels don't do that. Angels already got their own body.

So if you feel an angel enter into you and speak through you, you were deceived. It was a demon. Angels don't do that.

Okay, now, when we see an angel, so they get a discerning spirits, we actually see what the angel looks like in his real body. When you see a demon spirit, a demon spirit doesn't have a body. So you will see a representation usually of what kind of work that demon does.

And so demon powers are never seen in the same way that we see angels. They always have all sorts of different forms. And I've covered this in a lot of detail.

We'll look at it again, maybe sometime in more detail, when we look at the demonic realm and the realm of darkness. Okay, but when you see an angel, you're going to see somebody with a body, a normal-looking person. Angels have heavenly bodies.

They are able to eat. Do you know that angels can eat? Psalm 78, 24 says, God rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them grain from heaven. Man ate angels' food.

He sent them provision to fully satisfy. That manna the children of Israel lived on. I guess that's what angels eat.

I wouldn't like to be an angel. But maybe they enjoy it. Angels have their own language.

1 Corinthians 13, 1 says, Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, I do not have a love, I become nothing. Okay, so angels are actually real beings. Now, here's one thing I want you to be clear.

And because angels and demons sometimes operate in similar ways, I want you to realize what is similar about them and what is very different about them. Firstly, neither angels nor demons can read your mind. Only God knows what's in your heart and in your mind.

An angel cannot come and know what you're thinking. So please, don't say, what's wrong with my angel? He knows what I need. Why is he sitting on his backside doing nothing? He should get working.

He doesn't know what you need, because he doesn't read your mind. Okay, he can put pictures in your mind. He can put thoughts in your mind.

He can inject things into your mind, but he cannot extract from your mind what you are thinking. That is your private domain. Okay, now I've already taught that where demons are concerned, Satan actually only knows our weaknesses by putting thoughts in our mind and seeing how we respond.

See, see if I'm walking down the street and this beautiful woman comes walking the opposite way, Satan puts that thought in my mind. See, isn't she lovely? Why don't you go and chat her up? See, now if I do not respond, he probably figures I'm really not turned on by women, so maybe a waste of time using that temptation. But if I respond, he says, oh, I found his weakness.

Now I know what he hit it with. See, okay, that's the way demons work. Angels, of course, are not there to do that.

Angels can give us suggestions, but they don't force themselves on us. God knows what's in your mind, and God will instruct angels to go out and fulfill what you desire. See, according to your faith and your trust in God, and we'll look at a few things that you can and should do to get the angels working.

That is what releases the angels. Because you have an angel, does not mean he's there the whole time reading your thoughts and knowing what to do next. He's waiting for you to tell him.

Are angels male or female? There was a TV series years ago called Touched by an Angel. Did you ever watch it? Beautiful woman angel. And it was cute, and it had like spiritual things in it, but the only angels out there are new age angels.

And I'll tell you what, they're not angels, they're demons. Okay, angels in the scripture are always portrayed like God in the masculine. Always portrayed in the masculine.

How do I know that? Gabriel is the archangel of the messengers. When he appeared, I think it was to Daniel, he said, the man Gabriel that I saw. Well, when you have an angel by the name of Michael, you know he's a guy.

Okay, so the archangel Michael is very male. Okay, so the angels you're going to see, folks. Okay, I usually see them dressed in the old style of garment with long robes and things like that.

So how do you know if he's male or female? Well, unless you see the shape, you can't really tell, but take my word for it, they're male. Okay, a famous preacher, famous and infamous, I'm not going to mention his name. Works in great science and wonders, has influenced a lot of people.

Has now said that he met an angel called Emma, who's by his side and helps him. We know this man got into deception. I don't care if God's using him, he opened the door to deception.

There's no female angels, sorry. If you think you saw a female angel, you didn't see an angel, you saw a demon. Okay, let's look at the angels.

There are three main categories of angels that are mentioned in scripture and that I've seen and identified in the spirit. I interact with angels a lot. Through the gift of discerning of spirits, I've seen and interacted with angels for many years.

So I can tell you what they look like. The first category or group of angels are what are known as the messenger angels. They have a leader, an archangel by the name of Gabriel.

You've heard of Gabriel. He's the one that appeared so many times in the Old Testament, appeared in the New Testament as well. The angel Gabriel was sent to a city.

And so he spoke to people and conveyed to them a message from God. Okay, now Gabriel is usually only involved at higher level important events because he's got a whole host of other messenger angels who will bring messengers to believers. Angels are not omnipresent.

If Gabriel's gonna visit you, he's gonna have to travel maybe from the other end of the world or from the heavenly realm where he comes from to come to you specifically, okay? I've been blessed to speak with Gabriel. I know what he looks like. He has brought me messages on a couple of occasions, specific directions from the Lord.

It was an interesting experience. And at one time he gave me something and he said, these are sealed orders. You're not to open them until God says so.

And I look back in the book of Revelation, I saw John was given something very similar. The Lord said, I've given you things that the church is not ready for yet. And when the time is right, they will be unsealed and it'll be time for you to reveal.

Now that was significant enough for God to use Gabriel to send it to me. But most of the time I don't get messages from Gabriel. I'm not that special, okay? But I just wanted to let you know I've seen Gabriel and he looks fairly ordinary.

His hair's a little longer than the modern male but it's not long. But he's a good looking guy, very friendly. Now amongst the messenger angels, there's a special category whose job is to be guardians.

A guardian angel is allocated to every child. I didn't look up the scripture, but Jesus spoke about children and he said, their angels are always before my father in heaven. Every child that is born into this world is allocated an angel, a guardian angel.

And they fall all under the category of this type of angel, except they look different. Messenger angels are normal humanoid looking. Normal heights, look like a person.

Guardians are Goliaths, they're huge. The ceiling will probably be too short for him. They stand really tall, really big, okay? I've heard of people who have seen their guardian or seen guardian angels and they get the fright of their life because they're so big, okay? Because they're there to be guardians, they're like the big guy who's, you know, the bouncer.

They're to protect you, okay? Every child is given a guardian angel. We'll look at that a little bit further as we go on. Okay, that's the first category of angels.

Messenger angels under the leadership of the archangel Gabriel. The second category of angels are what I call the warrior angels. And they have an archangel over them by the name of Michael.

Michael is the archangel of the warrior angels, okay? Warrior angels do not look the same as messenger angels. They look very distinct. They're actually not tall.

They're fairly short and stocky. They're like tough guys. And they always have a sword in their hand.

If you see a shortish angel standing there like this with a sword in his hand, chances are you're seeing a warrior angel. Now, the third category of angels is the one that you probably know the most about and that is the worship angels. Now, who's the archangel in charge of the worship angels? There was one.

His name was Lucifer, the son of the morning. The job of the worship angels is to glorify God in worship and in praise. They sing nonstop without taking a breath.

People have captured the singing of angels miraculously on tape. And they sing without taking a breath. They kind of like tried to duplicate it on certain piano keyboards.

You can get the angel voice. I love adding it sometimes when I'm playing the piano. You add the angel voices because while you're holding that key down, the angel continues to sing.

24 hours a day, angels are singing nonstop because God inhabits praise. God lives in praise. The scripture says that when God created the earth, the morning stars sang.

Lucifer was among them. His job was to keep these angels worshiping continuously to create an atmosphere for God to dwell in. Now, worship angels are the only angels that have wings.

Ah, everybody thought angels had wings, right? How many pictures have you seen of an angel with wings? Well, Gabriel and Michael don't have wings. None of the messengers, even the guardians have wings. The worship angels have wings.

Okay, why do they have wings? I don't know. We do have a picture in Isaiah when he spoke about the cherubim having three sets of wings. I haven't seen them fly, but I can see they have the look of having wings, okay? So, if you see an angel with wings, it's not huge, it's not small, perhaps a little smaller.

They almost look like they've got feminine shape in that a woman is usually a bit smaller than a man. So, they're not huge. They're just normal looking creatures, got wings, and their job is to praise and worship.

Now, usually when you see worship angels, you always see them in a group, the angel choir. They're usually a group. Can be two or three at the most, you know, at the least, but you seldom will see one worship angel standing all alone.

They always sing in harmony, and when you can learn to hear the angel choir in the spirit by the gift of ascending spirits, it's the most beautiful sound. It's the most beautiful harmonies just going on and on. It's the pure music of heaven.

Now, what do these angels do? Well, messenger angels bring messages. That's pretty obvious, isn't it? Their job is to bring a message from the presence of God to you. Okay, now, I've got this somewhere in my notes, but I'm going to put it in here now.

Why does God need an angel to bring us a message? Why doesn't he just tell us himself? Why doesn't God just speak to me himself? Why does he have to send an angel? Well, can I ask you a question? How often do you hear God? Did you know that God is speaking 24 hours a day? But how often do you hear him? Because you see, he speaks deep inside of you, deep in your spirit, and unless you learn to tune in to listen to that voice of God, you're not going to hear it. So, God will use a messenger angel with a more powerful effect coming upon you from the outside straight into your head. That way, he can give messages to unbelievers as well as believers, and he has in the past.

Remember Cornelius? Angel appeared and said, go and ask for Peter. See, God will often use angels to bring messages. This is the job of the messenger angel.

Now, often they will carry, if you see them in the spirit, you'll see them with a scroll in their hand. So, if you see an angel in the spirit with a scroll in his hand, he's probably a messenger bringing you a message from the Lord. Okay, so how do we read the scroll? Well, I have at times actually given a prophetic utterance which reveals the scroll.

Do you know sometimes that you got a prophetic word? Maybe it's an angel that wrote that to you. He brought you a scroll and you spoke it out, okay? The idea is you take the scroll and you read it, okay? Sometimes, if you develop the gift of discerning spirits, well, you'll hear the angel speaking. Gabriel always spoke to me direct, never ever brought a scroll.

But I've had other angels who bring me a scroll, and I've had to say, okay, Lord, what's in the scroll? Usually God's got a direction for me. Now, sometimes that scroll will have seals on it. If you look in the book of Revelation, we read of a scroll that had seals and as each seal was broken, something new took place in the heavenly realm.

When you see a scroll that has multiple seals on it, God is giving you a new calling, a new mandate, a new direction, which has several stages to it. And each of those seals is another stage in God's plan for you. So, if you see an angel bring you a scroll with three seals on it, God is saying to you, I have laid out a plan for you from now on into the future.

It's going to have three different stages to it before it's fulfilled. In other words, you don't get to read the whole scroll right away. Usually, he'll say, break the first seal now and release the first stage.

Later on, when the time is right, you'll see that scroll again and you'll be told it's time to break the second seal. And the second phase of God's plan will kick in until all three seals are broken and eventually you'll then start to identify what that old plan of God was. Now, that could take months, maybe even years.

Just depends what God has planned for you. The warrior angels, they operate largely in the heavenly realm and their job is to help overcome spiritual attack that comes against you. They fight demonic powers on your behalf.

Now, there are different levels of demons, as we have discussed on the demonic side. You get little demons, principalities. You get slightly higher demons, powers.

You get ruler demons, which are more the possessing type of demons. And those three categories all operate in this world. There's a fourth category demons called spiritual wickedness in high places or princes of darkness.

Those demons operate at a much higher level, okay? They're formulating plans against you. In the spirit, I see these demons as various kinds of creatures starting at the lowest level. I see the principality demon is a little monkey.

The power demon is more of a chimpanzee or orangutan or something bigger. And then the ruler demon more is like a gorilla or the abominable snowman type look, the yeti, okay? But they're all creatures. When you get to the prince level, they start to look human, but not normal human necessarily.

The higher they go, the more human they get, okay? Lucifer himself is absolutely human looking. He's one of the most handsome men around. He's very charming, okay? Those princes below him, they all vary.

Now, when we are involving the warrior angels, usually most of the warfare takes place not in this world, but in the heavenly realm. And so warrior angels are then sent to do warfare on our behalf. Now, you read about that in the book of Daniel, where Daniel was praying and it took a long time for the angel to come to him.

And the angel said, I was resisted. I had to call Michael to come and help me. And he spoke of the kingdom of Persia and Grecia.

He's speaking about heavenly realms, okay? So warrior angels are there. Prophets especially are involved when they get into spiritual warfare in licensing and releasing warrior angels to go and do spiritual warfare on your behalf, okay? But they can also operate at a lower level. They are there to help us in our spiritual warfare as well.

And we get the worship angels. They bring the presence of God. Some of them bring the glory of God.

They'll show you how to praise and worship. They sing and dance while they're praising. Oh, it's a beautiful sight.

A beautiful sight to see them twirling around and dancing, sometimes up and down the aisles. It's lovely to see them in the spirit and to hear them as they worship the Lord. Okay, and sometimes I see amongst them a lead singer.

Oh, I always wanted to sing, but I battled to sing. And I read somewhere somebody said you should find your favorite singer and try and copy them. Just try and sing exactly like them until eventually you find your own style.

I said, Lord, I don't really have any popular singers because I'm not into worldly music. I have a couple of Christian singers. The Lord said, I will give you angelic singers to copy.

And so there've been times in the spirit I've seen the worship angels. I've seen, just like you often have in a choir, one main lead singer stand forward and let out in song. And as I hear that in the spirit, I'll try and copy that angel.

So if you ever hear me singing opera type sound in the spirit, I'm copying one of them angels. My voice takes on a whole different meaning and a different sound and a feeling. It's exciting stuff, folks.

If you haven't experienced this, you don't know what you're missing. It's exciting stuff. Worship angels, they enhance our music ability and our singing ability.

So if you want to learn how to sing and play music, worship angels are there to help you with that. Now, Satan's demons also have this ability because they were worship angels at one time. In fact, music is so powerful that it can change hearts and minds and sway our choices.

Hollywood have already proved that for the kind of music they play in the movie. They can change your whole emotion in a movie. They'll get you to hate that villain and love the nice guy.

They'll get you to feel all the soppy romance and falling out. They'll stir up anger, all with music. Very powerful stuff.

Satan knows how to use that music. And the music industry of this world is one of the largest industries and it's run by Satan and his demons. Worldly music, folks, is powerful stuff.

It's all, you know, I just kind of like the music. Yeah, there are genres of music that we grow up with and we get used to them, okay? Music in itself is not evil. It's not, because God created it.

But be very careful of the spirit that's behind the music. And so when you listen to a worldly singer, watch out for the spirit behind that person, which is usually demonic. Isn't that amazing how unbelievers come out with these amazing voices? They've got help, folks.

They've got help. And you fall in love with this kind of music. I'm so disappointed when I hear Christian bands say, well, you know, our inspiration was such and such a worldly band.

You know, the Beatles were our inspiration. The Stones were our inspiration. Oh Lord, you need to get in the spirit and listen to some worship angels and get proper inspiration.

Be very careful. Music is a powerful force and it's one of Satan's main weapons that he'll use to get through to you. Since I began to move in the spirit and got turned on to the Lord, I don't listen to worldly music anymore.

Yeah, I'll play the old songs back there. And music has the power to bring back memories. They were playing that song when we first went out.

When this event took place in my life, that music was playing. Music has the power to bring that back, all of those emotions and those feelings and make you almost relive that event. So be very careful of the music you listen to because that event may have been a time of evil and sin.

You don't want to go back there again. So start learning some new music. Get in the spirit and start learning to worship with the angels of God because their music is pure.

Okay, now I want to look at personal angels. As I said earlier, every child is given a guardian angel. But when your child grows up in a Christian home, I believe they have an extra benefit.

And sometimes God even gives a second angel to such a person. After John was born and we dedicated him to the Lord, the Lord showed me he was going to get a second angel. I don't know what's so special about him, but the Lord said he's getting a second angel to take care of him.

Okay, so let's not be hung up on this whole thing. The important thing is that every person has at least one guardian angel. Now that angel is your personal helper.

As a child, in innocence, not being fully aware of sin, your angel's there to guard you and protect you. As you grow up and you turn to sin and you turn away from God, the effect of that angel becomes neutralized. But he doesn't leave.

He's there waiting, waiting for an opportunity, perhaps even, to arrange circumstances that will bring you to the place where you will hear the gospel and you will receive the Lord as your savior and be born again. And from there, he will then move in and do what guardian angels do with adults. He's ready to give you ideas and wisdom when you need it.

You're sitting writing that exam and you think, oh man, I just, what was the answer to that again? You're allowed to cheat. Ask your angel. You'll be surprised.

I remember once working on the car and I couldn't get this piece of rubbish to go together. And I'd been learning about angels and I said, angel, help me here. And I just felt, try this.

And I jumped in. Oh, where did I get that idea from? It popped into my mind. I've had it in the work situation where I had a job to do and I couldn't quite figure it out.

And I looked to the Lord and suddenly, a picture came into my mind, an idea, and I saw a blueprint and I knew how to do it. Yes, God can and will do these things for you if you are hearing his voice. But most of the time, we don't have the time to get into that place to hear his voice.

He'll use your angel to help you. That's what he's there for. He's there to help you along, give you advice.

But he's not gonna impose it on you. You're gonna have to ask for it out loud because he can't read your mind. He'll be there to warn you when there's danger.

Have you ever had what they call a premonition? Well, that's demonic. Sometimes it is, yes. Fortune tellers, it's demonic.

Sometimes you feel that uneasiness inside of you. You think, hang on, something's wrong. I feel ill at ease.

Be your angel warning you, be careful. Be careful, there's danger ahead. Don't just shrug it off and say, must have been something I ate.

Listen, he's there to help you. If you ignore that warning, you're not gonna be protected. We like to think the old angel is there that I can just go do whatever I like and he'll stop it, you know? No, no, no, no.

He's working with you. He's your servant. He's like a waiter saying, what would you like for supper? Oh, you know, whatever you want to bring me.

Doesn't work that way, does it? What do you want? If you're not expressing what you want and what you desire, your angel actually has got his hands tied. A lot of people have got angels that are bored to tears. Because you never give them anything to do.

He's ready to arrange things for you. Oh, you've been struggling and praying and believing God. God's probably already instructed your angel to get working.

But your angel needs a bit more than that. And I'll share with you shortly as we end what he needs. Now, how do we interact with our angels? Number one, don't ever, ever ask to see your angel.

Big mistake everybody makes. When I first began to learn about angels, I said, oh Lord, I want to see what my angel looks like. And then one night as I sat in the room, I felt there was somebody there at the end of my bed.

Then I thought, oh, is this my angel that's about to appear? And then I got goose flesh all over and I got cold. God said, I don't work that way. I realized it was Satan coming, one of his demons coming to counterfeit and answer my desire.

And then I'd yield to that thinking it's my angel and I'll be submitting to a demon. Okay, now I know angels have appeared to people as humans. The scripture says some people have entertained angels unaware.

I never have yet. I've never seen an angel actually sitting in that chair there with my naked eyes. Some people may have, I never have.

Okay, and I'm not about to ask God to do that. As I said, you will discern them by the gift of discerning of spirits. Now, I see angels in the spirit all the time.

See, my angel's standing about there right now. You can see him there, he's smiling. That's all I see.

Hey, just came as a flash. Don't go looking for it. God will reveal it to you when the time is right.

An angel does not ever replace the Lord. And he relies on your faith and your authority. Because only man has been given authority in this world.

And he listens only to words that are godly and scriptural and according to the will of God. There's a verse here in Psalm 123 in verse 20. And it goes like this.

Bless the Lord, Yahweh, you his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, listening to the utterance of his word. You want your angel to listen? Speak God's words. He'll jump.

Well, that's good. I can make my angel do whatever I want. Oh, no, no.

Be very careful. He submits to the name of Jesus. Because at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of things in heaven, things in earth and things under the earth.

Well, you stand and you command and give a decree in the name of Jesus, your angel is standing ready to obey. And so you've been given a personal angel. And if God has called you to ministry and he's given you a ministry or a ministry mandate, he will give you another angel for your ministry.

This is a special angel, a special guardian angel that has a far wider scope of operation. We had a couple of angels like that in Mexico. Daphne and I have both seen them.

The one was long and thin. We called him Longitude. I don't know, I've never had an angel's name.

We called him Longitude because he was the lines of Longitude. And somehow he was always involved in showing us places in the world and directions and things like that. Now, in recent times, God changed my mandate and he gave me a new angel for the new mandate.

So whatever your ministry calling is, there is an angel that watches over your ministry in addition to the angel that watches over you. You say, well, okay, show that to me from scripture. Revelation 2 verse 1, to the angel of the church of Ephesus writes, church of Ephesus had an angel.

He's here to help your ministry prosper. He'll help you gather ministry contacts. I think my angel's been sleeping.

I'm gonna tell him to fill these chairs. Come on, bring the people in. See, you know those people who come regularly, they're not there today.

Angel, go and bother them. You start getting bothered the next time you don't come to a meeting. My angel is at work.

Watch it. He'll help to expose enemy infiltrators. You know, Satan will send people into your midst who appear to be genuine.

In the past, they were often known as false prophets. They lead people astray. We've had people in our midst that I felt were a stumbling block to the ministry and I couldn't kick them out.

But my angel did a pretty good job with the Lord's help of moving them off. So sometimes you need your angel to bring new people in. Sometimes you need your angel to get rid of a few people that shouldn't be there.

Give him a job to do. It's what he's there for. He'll create ministry opportunities and he's there to help you fulfill your ministry calling.

He's gonna give you wisdom in what to do and he'll even help you to develop a proper plan of action for your calling. And I dare say, if you've got a business calling, the same thing is going to apply. Because that is still a calling.

Okay, now I wanna look at some specific angelic activity which falls a little bit beyond that before we end. Okay, firstly, angels have to be authorized to work in this world. For one very important reason, there's only one creature in this world that has authority in this world.

And that is a born again person, a spirit living in a human body. And God created man, he said, dominate the world and control it. It's under your control.

Satan handed that control over to, sorry, Adam handed that control over to Satan. Jesus brought it back for us. Okay, and now we stand as believers and we have authority in this earth.

God himself will not work except through that authority. God won't just overrule your authority. I'd said to Moses at one time, get out of the way, I'm just gonna wipe out these people.

And Moses says, no, Lord, you can't do that. And God couldn't, even though he's God. Because he's limited himself to your authority in the earth.

Okay, Satan cannot do whatever he wants until you give him authority in the earth. And the exact same thing applies to the angels. If an angel has been given even a commission from God to do something for you, he needs you to authorize it.

He doesn't have the authority to do that. There's a scripture in the book of Jude, I think, which speaks about Michael contending with Satan for the body of Moses. And all he could say to him was, the Lord rebuke you.

See, because he didn't have authority in the earth, even though he's an archangel. So very often, you will see an angel appear. If I see an angel just suddenly appear in front of me while I'm in prayer, and he's not carrying a scroll in his hand to give me a message, it's like he's standing there waiting.

He's waiting for me to commission him. God has sent him to do something specific for me. Perhaps I've been praying, reaching out to the Lord to do something, and God has sent that angel now to come and get involved in arranging the circumstances and answering my prayer.

Angel will stand and he'll wait for me to authorize it. Because until I authorize it, even though God has instructed him, he cannot operate in this earth. And so I will pray and I'll say, angel of God, whatever you've been sent to do, I give you full authority.

I commission you now and I send you forth to accomplish whatever God has sent you to do. I authorize it now in this earth so that you can have full license to do it. And he'll go off and he'll carry out that plan.

Now sometimes God may call upon you to commission a not so nice angel. His authority usually lies only at the higher apostolic type level. I call this an angel of destruction.

I'm just gonna read you a passage from Paul's epistle to the Corinthians. He said, for I truly though absent physically, but present in the spirit, have judged already as though I were present concerning he that has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together in my spirit with the dynamic power of the Lord Jesus Christ, to hand such a person over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

I tell you, one warrior angel with a sword in his hand can wipe out 20,000 people. You saw it there in the Old Testament when David disobeyed the Lord. Well, David eventually had to repent and offer a sacrifice to stop it.

Okay, very deadly. I have on a couple of occasions been led by the Lord to release such an angel to deal with a person who's standing in the way. It's deadly because once you've issued it, it's gonna continue until it's accomplished.

Therefore, you cannot do it out of anger. You cannot do it out of personal emotion. You're gonna have to be very strongly led by the Lord as Paul was here.

And if the result comes that God wants, you can withdraw that angel. This person in the Corinthian church who'd been living in incest that Paul judged, he repented and the people still wanted to kick him out. And Paul wrote again, he said, look, yes, his sin was bad, but he's repented.

So receive him back again as a brother and receive him back into fellowship. And he withdrew that destructive force that was against him. Okay, so time may come, hopefully it doesn't, when you are told by the Lord to release such an angel.

If you do, be very careful because that angel's gonna do what he was sent to do. I sent an angel once and then afterwards kind of felt sorry for the person, tried to help them. And the angel started attacking me.

See, I had to withdraw that angel completely. I had to take back the words that I'd uttered into the earth and say, okay, well, I just mentioned that in passing because I want you to realize we're not playing in the kingdom of God, it's very serious. People have fallen dead like Ananias and Sapphira when they became a stumbling block.

See, but be very careful. Angels do have great power. Now, sometimes when we are praying for somebody for deliverance and getting rid of demons, and by now you should know that I don't just cast demons out of people.

I deal with the license that was given because only the person who is possessed by the demons actually has the authority to take away that license so the demon can leave. But usually once we brought a person to that place, I will often, when I'm praying with a person, see a spiritual demonic force behind them and if I try and pray, it won't leave until we identify where it was allowed in and until the person lets go of that permission and cuts the cord, the demon won't leave. Once I've done that, I see that it's time for the demon to leave.

And in most cases, the demon will leave but sometimes you get arrogant demons. They try to put up a fight. And I'll say, look, your license is taken away.

I said you must get and he'll glare at me. At a time like that, I'll say, angels, give us a hand here. And I'll see these big burly angels walk up, grab one in each arm and carry him away.

It's only time you get angels involved in deliverance. You don't ask the angels to get rid of the demon. You've got to get rid of it and license it.

Once that demon has been unlicensed, the angels will assist you in dealing with those demonic forces. Okay, so in conclusion, if you're a born again believer, you have angels to help you. There's at least one angel dedicated to you, your guardian angel.

And the activity of your angel depends on you. It'll work according to what you desire. It'll work according to what you say.

Your positive words and your prayers will activate him. And when you ask for anything, he may work to answer your desire. When you enter into warfare with the enemy, the warrior angels are coming in there to assist you.

Now, when a random unexpected thought comes to your mind, it may come from an angel. See, I may be getting down and praying and saying, Lord, finances are tight. We've got some unexpected expenses.

They just stole three computers and a few other things from us. We need money, Lord. You're lying there in your bed and this voice comes into your mind and says, give Les some money.

It's my angel. He's having a word with you. He's not forcing you, he's giving you a suggestion.

And he'll usually start with the people that know us. We already started to see results. God started to provide in amazing ways.

But he always starts with the people who are close to you. The people who already have you in their mind. And there's a reason for that.

God always gives them the first chance to sow a seed and to be a blessing. Because God wants to bless them as well. So God gives them the opportunity to sow first so that he can bless the person who has a need and then take that seed, multiply it back and bless the person in abundance.

But he never forces himself. See, usually God will use an angel to do that. And when those who are close to you, have responded or not responded, the angel will begin to widen the net.

He'll begin to contact people that you are not that close to but they do know who you are. I've had people that I haven't seen for years contact me and say, you came to my mind the other night. And I felt that God wanted me to contact you.

Is there a problem? Out of the blue. Coincidence? No, no. No, the angels were at work.

I don't want you guys to think I did this to put a pressure on you. I'm not saying you must give us money, please. Don't misunderstand me.

I want to encourage you that when you have a need, that's how God's gonna provide. As you reach out to the Lord in faith and hope and love and believe him, God will start to speak to everybody in your inner circle first. Whether it be financial or otherwise.

Money is just the easiest one to illustrate. That's why I chose that one. Okay.

God will begin to speak to those close to you who have within their hands the resources or the ability to meet your needs. And he'll give it to them first because he wants to bless them first. If they don't take up that opportunity, he will move further afield.

And then further afield until eventually, it may be somebody that you just had a casual acquaintance with. They suddenly start to think about you. And if in the end, the response has not come to meet your need, God will then finally turn to the world.

Then you may speak to your boss. Angela has a chat with your boss. She said, give her an increase.

She works so hard. Your boss comes to you suddenly and says, you know, I've been watching you. You're working so hard.

I really feel that I should increase your income. Ooh, your angel is good. He's doing the job.

Suddenly get an income tax return. Money's come from unexpected places. All the same operation.

You see, the angels are involved in all of these things. So don't get discouraged when you pray and you don't get an answer. God probably already started to work.

And your poor angels, like the angel in Daniel, took him 21 days to get there because he got resisted along the way. You just keep praying. You just keep believing.

You just keep putting your faith out. You keep authorizing your angel in the years to do that. And it's just going to be a matter of time.

And he'll find the right circumstance or person that needs to get involved to answer the thing that you've asked the Lord for. In conclusion, don't ever try to pray to an angel. He's below you.

He's standing waiting for you to give him orders. Make sure that you're doing it in the will of the Lord. Make sure that you've prayed it through.

Make sure that you've asked the Lord and God has said, yes, I will bless you in this. And you can expect your angel to get working and accomplish great things. If you're battling the spiritual warfare, the angels are there to help you.

If you're feeling overwhelmed and depressed, invite them worship angels. Pick up the guitar. I tell you, the guitar, if you haven't learned guitar, you're just losing out so much.

You know, if I'm feeling under the cloud, pick up my guitar and I start strum and bam, the power comes. Angels are involved in all of these things and they will accomplish amazing things in your life if you'd really just realize what God has given us as believers. I have a feeling some angels here today are probably gonna suddenly get the fright of their life.

After all these years of sitting, twiddling my thumbs, wondering if they're ever gonna use me, I tell you what, they're gonna get excited. They're gonna say, oh, this is awesome. Let's get going.

And you know, it's so exciting when you start seeing it happen. And you'll see it. You'll see how miraculous it is, how God so miraculously answers some of your prayers and your desires.

You know, and as I said, it may take a while because God never imposes himself on anybody. If the answer to your prayer requires another person, your angel is going to be involved in speaking to that person and arranging circumstances and bringing them to that place to answer because God wants to bless you. I just sensed his love this morning as we were here, how much he cares for you.

No matter, you know, I really failed the Lord miserably. I've been a miserable, rotten sinner. Well, you know, how long does it take to fix that? Lord, forgive me, I was wrong, I sinned.

I receive your cleansing now in Jesus' name. The blood of Jesus washes away the sin and his love is there. And he's standing, he's saying, what can I do for you? You ever wanna move the hand of God? Get into praise and worship.

God loves praise and worship. You've got angels doing it 24 hours a day. Just get into his presence and praise and worship.

And after a while, he'll start saying, is there anything you want? Can I do something for you? Can I bless you? It doesn't take a lot of time, you know. Or we sit and struggle and we wait and we wait. When is God gonna do something? And God is saying, when are you going to make it happen? Because it lies in your hands, lies in your mouth.

Of course, if you're speaking the negative, your angel's gonna get really confused. Well, winter's coming, I'm gonna catch the cold. I'm gonna catch flu again.

Everything is gonna go wrong. You know, it's just my kind of luck. You know, this time of year, things go wrong.

And I can see your angel scratching his head and he's saying, you really want me to do that? Is that really what you want? You want me to bring trouble? Mind your words, be very careful of them. The angels obey the utterance of God's words into the earth. Keep filling your mouth with God's words.

And your angel will jump to attention immediately. Father, I thank you for your word. I thank you for the use and the privilege and the blessing you've given us in the angels.

Lord, may we fully embrace and appreciate what you've done for us and are doing for us through these beings that you created to serve us and to wait on us. We express our appreciation to you for giving them to us. We ask that we'll use wisdom in using them the right way.

With only one motive in mind, the extension of your kingdom in this earth that your name may be glorified. Thank you for it, Father, in Jesus' name. Amen.
