Lecture 1
Wow, nothing new there, is there, or is there? The subject has been preached and taught on so long in so many different ways, and I think sometimes new teachers seem to think that they have come up with a new revelation, and they try to publish their books on prayer. And we thank God for the teaching ministry, because the teacher has the ability to take the things that you already know and show them to you in a different way. So yes, God's word is constant, but there's always new aspects that he begins to show us.
The subject is so big that I can't cover it in detail tonight, so I'm going to go fairly quickly through everything, but I want us to look especially at this subject in view of this crisis that we are facing now all over the world. It is time for God's people to pray. In Ephesians 6, verse 18, we read these words, praying at all Kairos times, with all kinds of prayer and supplication in the spirit, and remaining alert in it with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Now there are different Greek words for time. This particular word that is used here, Kairos, is very significant because it refers to a specific point in time, a specific need, a specific situation that exists. And we have a Kairos time right now in the world, in the nations, and in the body of Christ.
It is time for us to seek the Lord in prayer. The whole world is facing something that's turned our lives upside down. Unbelievers are looking to the experts and to the world leaders to solve this problem.
As believers, we know that actually there's only one we can turn to, is there? The Lord should be our first choice, but sad to say we often delay coming to him first, don't we? We try to solve our problems first by ourselves, and then when we reach the end and we can't solve it, then we finally use him as a last resort. Why is it that we often leave prayer right until the end? We finally begin to seek the face of the Lord when there's no hope from any other source. Perhaps it's because sometimes we're not really sure what we should pray.
Sometimes perhaps we're not sure whether God will answer. You tried praying once, didn't you? More than once, and there was no answer. It seemed God didn't answer your prayer.
Perhaps you prayed for someone that you love and God didn't answer. Perhaps that person even died. You prayed so earnestly that God would spare their life, but he didn't.
So it seems. And so now we sometimes we're afraid to pray because we've had some bad experiences in prayer and we're just quite not quite sure how we should approach it. Now I want to cover the whole topic of prayer tonight.
This could be covered in a huge series, so I'm going to just touch on the main points. But I want to just highlight a few important things for you so that no matter where you stand right now, you'll see yourself there and know what it is that you should be doing. Firstly, prayer is for all believers.
Now what is prayer? What is prayer? I'll share with you shortly there are various aspects to prayer. There are many different words in the original text that are used for the subject prayer, but at its lowest basic level, prayer is talking to the Lord. That's all it is.
Talking to him. And you know, often we feel that we've got to shout and bombard him because he's busy up there in heaven. And maybe if we shout loud enough, if we pray long enough and hard enough and nag him enough, he may eventually listen.
You know that the Lord is closer than breathing. He's sitting right beside you. If you're sitting right now, I want you to look at the chair next to you or any place near you.
And I want you to see that Jesus is sitting right there and you don't need to shout. He's not deaf. You can hold a conversation with him and talk to him.
And you can do more than that. And most people miss this one. What kind of conversation would it be if you speak to somebody and you do all the talking? You never give the person a chance to answer you.
And we often do the Lord that way. We come with bombarding him with all our cares. And we never stop long enough to listen to his reply.
But you know, if Jesus is sitting there beside you right now, he's ready to listen. Oh, he's so wonderful as a listener. He wants to talk back to you.
He wants to answer you. I'm going to say something which you may not believe at first, but God will always answer your prayer. He will always answer your prayer.
Yes, I know people have said he will say yes, no, or wait. Is that what you've been taught? Throw it away. If you speak to the Lord, he'll speak back.
You're going to answer. If your prayer is talking to him, you'll get an answer every single time. He will always answer what you tell him, what you ask him.
He will answer your prayer. But no, we wait for the result of what we prayed for, and we say, God, answer my prayer. No, he'll answer your prayer immediately if you're open to hear.
You say, well, you know, I'm not one of those super spiritual people that's so close to God that I can hear his voice. I've heard of people say they heard the booming voice of God coming down from heaven. I never have heard that, but I hear him all the time.
In fact, it is in the nature of us as his sheep to hear his voice. Jesus said in John 10, 27, my sheep listen to my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. If you're one of his sheep, you're hearing his voice all the time.
He doesn't speak out there in your physical ears. He speaks deep down in your spirit, and from there, it's communicated upwards into your mind. Do you know what? You can actually write down what he says to you.
You can do that. It's called journaling. You know, even unbelievers have this process called journaling where they just rack their brains and write down the thoughts that come.
Do you realize you can do that as a believer also, and that the thoughts that come to you as you step out to touch him, the thoughts that come to you will actually be his voice speaking inside of you, and you can write them down, and you can actually get a message from the Lord. Well, I need to go and find that awesome prophet that really knows God and say, Prophet, please tell me what does God say? In the Old Testament, you had to do that, but you don't have to do that anymore now because every child of God can hear his voice. You can hear his voice right now, and when you hear his voice, after you've spoken to him, you know what he's going to do.
He's going to tell you what to do. He'll show you what part you must play in getting what you're looking for. You see, God works in partnership with us in this world.
He doesn't overrule us. He doesn't intrude into our lives. He stands there ready and waiting to work with us in partnership, and whatever God does in this world, he does through a human channel.
If you do not make yourself available to him as that human channel, God actually can't do much unless he finds somebody else who's prepared to allow him to work through them. Well, why should I wait for that? I'm going to wait until somebody will hear God so that my prayer can be answered. No, no, no, no.
You can hear God yourself right now. What must I do, Lord, in this circumstance? Now, we're sure we're telling him what to do, but there's a part you must play, and if you can learn to listen to his voice and then do what he tells you to do, if you fulfill your part, he will always fulfill his part, and you'll see the answer that you're looking for. That's how simple prayer really is.
We've overcomplicated it, and actually it's been in the nature of man from the beginning to overcomplicate it. Even in the New Testament, as we read about prayer, we see that there are several different Greek words. Now, I'm not going to blind you with signs here.
I just looked these words up in the Strong's Concordance. I'm going to just give you the word, and I'm going to give you a scripture that it was used in so you can understand how that word is used. We have the Greek word, Delmae.
In Matthew 9, 38, it says, Make a request therefore to the Lord of the harvest that he will send out laborers into his harvest. Make a request. That's what Delmae means.
Then you get Erotau. Matthew 15, 23, But he responded without a word, and his disciples came and urged him, saying, Set her free, because she's crying after us. This is kind of a more aggressive kind of prayer.
Euchemai. At 27, 29, Then fearing that we could end up on the rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern and wished for the day. Oh boy, this is our prayer.
I'm wishing. I'm wishing. I'm hoping.
Oh, please, Lord. Please let the day come. Lord, please let the answer come.
You been there? You have the Greek word, Paracleo, which we'll see in Matthew 14, 36. It says, And begged him that they might just touch the hem of his garment, and as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Oh, we know how to do this one.
Please, Lord. Please, Lord. Please, Lord.
You know, I think that word begged sometimes can be translated nagged, because we nag him. Now, all of those are probably most of the things that we think of when we think of prayer. But actually, the one Greek word that is used more often than any other for prayer is the word prosuchomai.
Oh, and my Greek good. Matthew 6, verse 6, But when you pray, enter into your private room, and when you shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. This is the word that's used the most, and it simply means to pray, to talk to God.
That's what real prayer is. Get along with him and pray to him. Yes, in the process, we're going to ask him for things.
Sometimes we're going to nag him. Sometimes we're going to wish and say, Oh, Lord, please. But at the end of the day, prayer is communicating with the Lord.
See, so I like to think of there being prayer and making requests. And although making requests is always prayer, prayer isn't always making requests. You get that? Sure, when we make requests, we are praying, but all praying isn't supposed to be making requests.
I like alliteration. I, a long time ago, chose the word P for prayer and chose four words that describe four different kinds of prayer. As Scripture said at the beginning, it said praying with all kinds of prayer.
See, there are very many different kinds of prayer, and we're going to be looking at all of them tonight. I like to call these the four Ps, and the four Ps are petition, penitence, praise, and prophetic. Oh, what's petition? That's bringing our requests, a petition.
What's penitence? That's repentance. Lord, please forgive me for my sin. Prayer of repentance, that's penitence.
What's praise? Oh, we just did it now for quite a while. Hallelujah. Have you ever thought of praise as prayer? Absolutely.
We're telling the Lord how much we love Him. See, and then we have prophetic prayer. Now, contrary to what you may think, prophetic prayer can be done by all believers, not only by prophets.
See, prayer involves working with God. Prophetic prayer is not nagging God, it's working with God. Prophetic prayer does not have prayer points.
I'm sure many of you are waiting for me tonight to give you a list of prayer points of what you should pray for concerning the COVID-19. Pray for this, pray for that. Pray that they'll find a cure.
Pray that the government will do this. Pray that. I'm sorry, I don't find any scriptural evidence or license for any leader to give prayer points.
Because nine times out of 10, the prayer points are, pray for our church that it will grow. Pray for our finances, that we'll have enough money to do what we do. Pray for the pastor that God would bless him.
It always becomes selfish. It's always requests. No prayer points.
When you come to the Lord with prophetic prayer, you don't come with prayer points. You come to say, Lord, I want to work with you. I want to make myself available to you so that your will can be done in this world.
Now, Lord, what role must I play? What do you want me to pray? See now, every believer can do that. The prophets go to a higher level, which we'll look at later. This is their specialist domain.
But you see, every believer can pray this way. So what do we pray as we look at this crisis that we're facing today? Well, that's obvious. Let's pray that it goes away.
There's more to it than that. Actually, many good things are being accomplished through this deadly thing. And right now, you might not be able to see it, but actually the church is going to come out stronger.
It's a known fact that in countries where Christians are persecuted and not allowed to worship freely, that the church grows and becomes stronger. And by the time this whole scourge is finished, the church is going to rise up to a place it's never been. You know, when Jesus prayed for his disciples, he said, Lord, I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but I'm praying for them in the world.
See, in this world, he's not going to take it away, but he's going to show us how to go through it and how to overcome these things. And believers, unfortunately, don't have that license or that ability to climb. We as believers, we have the right to claim his protection and even his blessing in the midst of these things.
Now, prayer is warfare. Prayer is warfare. Now, I know you prophets think you're the only ones who can do warfare.
And yes, you are highly skilled in a certain kind of warfare. But let me tell you something. The day you got saved, you declared war and you went to the other side.
You have an enemy who opposes your spiritual life and you have to take your stand against him daily. Now, whether you're praying for yourself or you're praying for others, we're praying against the works of darkness in this world. And when we're doing that, we are actually in a kind of warfare.
Paul writes of one of his fellow workers, man by the name of Epaphras. In Nicolosians 4 verse 12, he says, Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always fighting for you in prayers. You may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
I can vouch for him that he has a passionate zeal for you. Prayer is warfare. If you are not prepared to take up your armor and oppose the realm of darkness, then I'm afraid you're not going to get very far in your praying.
Because you see, there are four levels that the scripture mentions in the realm of wickedness. Paul speaks about it in Ephesians 6. He said, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers or authorities, rulers of spiritual wickedness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Four of them.
Now, all believers get into warfare in those lower levels. God has given us two weapons. He's given us firstly the power of the Spirit.
And that power is released most powerfully through praise. Praise. I want to read you a scripture from Psalm 149.
It's long, but I want you to understand what it's saying. This is David speaking. He was the master of praise and worship.
Psalm 149, reading from verse 5, it says, Let the saints be joyful in glory. Let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance upon the heathen and punishments upon the people, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute upon them the judgment written.
Who are these things? They're all pictures of the works of darkness, of the different levels of Satan's realm. You say, well, that's pretty heavy stuff. I'm sure you've got to be really very close to the Lord and very advanced spiritually, and you really need to know the Word and be a great strong leader and apostle to be able to do that.
Well, David didn't seem to think so. He said this, This honor have all his saints. Praise the Lord, Yahweh.
You realize how powerful praise is. We say we complain and moan and groan. When you praise, it doesn't just make you feel better, but it actually releases a force, an energy, a power against the works of darkness to overcome them.
And then you have the sword of the Word of God released out of your mouth through command. As your 1818 says, Truly, I say to you, whatever you will bind on earth will be considered as being already bound in heaven. Whatever you will loose on earth will be considered as being already loosed in heaven.
That's not speaking about fivefold ministry, folks. It's speaking about every believer. You have authority in this world, and when you use that authority in the name of Jesus, all of heaven is behind you.
When you stand against Satan and his works, you have the backing of all of heaven. You have all the angels of God. You have the Spirit of God.
You have the Lord himself. We fight against demons in this world. We have these principalities and the powers that attack our minds.
We have the higher level ruler demons which can actually enter in and possess people. Now, you can resist all of these. They attack your mind mostly, but the scripture says that God has given us weapons that are mighty through God to pulling down strongholds and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
They try to attack your body and make you sick, but the scripture says that all believers have authority to cast out demons. In Mark 16, 15 and 16, when Jesus was giving the great commission, he said, These signs will follow those who are believers. In my name, they will cast out demons.
They will speak with new tongues. Believers have authority to heal the sick. They will take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them.
They will lay hands on sick people, and they will become well. Don't wait for God to do these things, folks. It lies in your hands.
Oh, I just hope I don't come close to somebody who's got this COVID-19, and I get infected, and I end up in hospital. You have authority because all of these things are a work of Satan. All of these things have demon powers behind them.
You have the right and the authority to say, Oh, no, you don't. I bind you now in the name of Jesus, and I release the healing power of God into my body. Don't do it after you're already heaving and having to call for the doctor and go to hospital.
Do it at the very first sign. Oh, you know, I'll try the paracetamol first and see what brings my fever down. Why? It costs money.
I don't wait for paracetamol to bring my fever down, and there's nothing wrong with taking it, and I do take it, but before I even get to there, I'm saying in the name of Jesus, you fever, I rebuke you, Satan, don't you dare. You get your hands off my body right now. I bind your works.
You can do this as an ordinary believer. Well, God does raise up leaders, and he gives them different levels of prayer, and he gives them different ways of praying. I want to look at them very quickly.
Let's look at the first three members of the fivefold ministry, evangelists. Evangelists have a passion for souls. Evangelists also have a passion for the healing ministry and for miracles.
So if you're an evangelist, what do you pray right now? Oh, Lord, Lord, may many souls come to you as a result of this virus. Oh, Lord, reach out. Draw people to yourself.
Wake them up to realize they need you. Oh, what an opportunity for evangelism we have right now. What an awesome opportunity.
People who never listened to you before are ready to listen now, especially if somebody close to them is dying or has died. They're ready to listen, folks. If you're an evangelist, get in there and start praying for the lost.
Pray for God to use you in healing and signs and wonders and miracles. Do you know what? If you become passionate enough about it, the Lord's likely to say to you, why don't you go do it? Why don't you go and preach? Why don't you go and heal the sick? I'm going to use you. What about the pastor? Oh, you've got people that you're caring for as a shepherd that are facing conflicts and confusion.
Many of them are discouraged. You to be there to counsel them and lift each one up. Do you know the names, pastors, of every person in your church? How much do you even know about each one? Or do you just see them as a crowd filling the pews on Sunday? Well, you're not allowed to have that now under lockdown.
So how about this? Why don't you make a list of all your members and bring each one of them before the Lord and say, Lord, bless this person abundantly, provide their needs, keep them healthy and strong. What an opportunity for prayer if you're a pastor. What about the teacher? People need a fresh revelation from the word, a promise, something that can uplift them.
Teachers, start praying for revelation from the word. Pray for God to show you things in the word, powerful scriptures that you can take and feed to God's people and be ready to share with them what God shows you. Help build up their faith and hope and love and they can stand tall.
And we come to the final two levels, the prophet and the apostle. These go beyond ministry. They go into what we call ministry office level.
Because of that, they enter into a far higher level of prayer and of warfare than the average believer. If you're in prophetic office, you should be taking the opportunity to pray. Firstly, to get to know the Holy Spirit better, the comforter who will reveal Jesus to you.
If you're a prophet and you don't have an intimate relationship with Jesus yet, that's the first thing that you should be praying for. Because until you can hear his voice and know his love, you're not ready to stand in the gap and pray as the prophet should pray. You should be praying in tongues for long periods to build up your ability to hear his voice.
You should be spending much time in praise and worship. Now, you know what? If you're a prophet, I don't need to tell you this. In fact, sometimes prophets, once they get started, you can't stop them.
Gather a bunch of prophets together and just say, why don't we have a prayer time? And man, each one of them gets in there and they're praying and they're calling. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And you stand back and you wait and you wait and it goes on and on and on and on and on.
And eventually the crescendo begins to die down. And then you've got a chance to say something again. Well, if you claim to be a prophet and that is not your passion, something's wrong somewhere.
Prayer is like breathing to a prophet. Take it away and they'll suffocate. It's the way God's designed them.
Prophet doesn't come to God with prayer points. Prophet comes and says, God, what do you want to do in the earth? And then the prophet takes that key. I'm not talking about prophets in ministry, talking about prophets in office.
You take that key that God has given you, whether it be the golden key for ministry or the silver key for business, and you release God's will and purpose into the earth. God's given you that authority. Then we have the apostolic office, whereas the prophet develops a very close relationship with the comforter, the Holy Spirit, and then the Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit, which the comforter reveals him.
The apostle moves into a relationship with the father himself. The apostle prays by coming into the very throne room of God and receiving from him a mandate that is unique to your ministry. Then as an apostle, you go and you set the five-fold ministry in place in order for God to accomplish his will and for that mandate to be fulfilled.
So the apostle prays at the very highest level. Now because these two offices stand so much higher, they enter into a new level of warfare when it comes to prayer. Now prophets who function in prophetic ministry, it applies to prophets in office as well, but prophets who are not yet in office can function in this.
In the Old Testament, God said of the prophets, I've called you to be a watchman on the walls. Any prophet who's functioning as a prophet, even in ministry, has the role of getting on the walls. We call this the prayer wall in the realm of the Spirit.
And the picture of those days was every city was surrounded with walls and it was the prophet's job to be watchman. Well if you know the picture, I've done God duty when I was in the army many years ago and your job is to watch and look out for the enemy. The role of the prophet as a watchman on the walls is to see what God is doing and what the enemy is doing, to be aware of what's happening in the Spirit and to identify before it actually happens what the enemy is planning to do.
Your role then is to alert the rest of the body, to issue a warning. That's why the prophet functions even in prophetic ministry, gets revelation of past, present, and future. You're seeing what is going to happen and you warn the people.
It was the job of the watchman to be on duty around the clock. The moment they saw the enemy approaching, anything happening, they would sound the alarm. If you want to function in prophetic ministry, you better learn to hear the voice of God and to see in the Spirit as you should and find out what the enemy is doing and what God's doing.
Now it's not the role of the watchman to attack. The guard on duty does not attack the enemy. The guard warns and alerts the soldiers that there's an enemy coming.
However, when you move to the next highest level into the prophetic office itself, this changes. Apostles and prophets who are fully in office, they enter into a level of warfare which no other believer experiences in this world. Remember I said there are four levels, principalities, powers, rulers.
All of those, every believer can be involved in, in some way. But above that lie what the scripture calls spiritual wickedness in high places. These are the princes of darkness.
They've been allocated to countries and regions. They're the big cheeses. Satan himself is the ultimate prince.
He's not a king. There is no actual kingdom of darkness. It's a principality of darkness.
But Satan has these princes that he set up and they are involved in controlling this world. Now wherever you are right now, there's a prince of darkness over your region. There's a prince of darkness probably over your suburb, over your city, over your county, over your country, over your continent.
They all go to different levels until eventually they come right at the top and at the top Satan tries to copy the trinity and he has three, which I call the infernal trio, Lucifer, Apollyon and Pharaoh. Now I've taught all of these in a lot of detail and we have all of these teachings available. I'm not trying to teach you anything new, but I want to show you that a prophet in office and an apostle in office gets engaged in a warfare that transcends what's actually taking place in this world.
Your role is to do warfare in the heavenlies. That is why you have to be equipped first before you can do that. You're going to have to have very special spiritual weapons to do that.
And so there are two realms of prayer ministry. I've called them the prayer wall and the prayer fortress. See the fortress is the actual city itself.
The walls are simply surrounding and protection. Prophets on the wall are there to protect the city, but when they move into the higher level of office along with the apostle, they become part of the prayer fortress and their role now is to actually enter into direct warfare and to attack, to come against princes of darkness that especially in regions are trying to attack the church or to attack God's work. Now you need to know where you are.
You need to know where you stand right now, because no matter where you are, you're going to get involved. As you go in prayer, you're going to face opposition and you have a role to play. You have a part to play to bring God's will into this world.
So no matter what level you are, whether you only got saved yesterday or whether God has taken you through the ranks into some of the five-fold ministry or whether he's lifted you up into the higher office levels, each has a different role to play when it comes to prayer. How do we start? Very simple. Sit down with the Lord.
Talk to him. Don't come in with all your big ideas and your prayer points. Stop and talk to him.
Oh Jesus, I'm coming to you now. I'm making myself available to you, Lord. I want to work with you in this world to accomplish your plan and your purpose.
Learn to hear his voice. Write down what he tells you that you don't. Forget it.
And then daily, do what he tells you to do. Daily stand against Satan and the realm of darkness and overcome. And if God has lifted you up into the higher office levels, I'm afraid you're going out to battle.
You're going to be in the front lines. It's going to be dangerous. You better know what you're doing.
God wants to use you in amazing, powerful ways. A prophet or an apostle in office doesn't pray from down here. They pray from up there.
They get lifted up into the heavenly realm and they look down. And they see what God wants to do. So where are you right now? You say, well, I'm a prophet.
Well, firstly, every believer can do some degree of prophetic ministry. If you've had a few revelations, it doesn't make you a prophet. But if you have a passion for prayer and praise, there's a good chance God's moving you towards that ministry.
Climb in there and start getting involved, particularly on the prayer wall. Apostle Nadine has already begun to mobilize the prophets to set up a prayer wall. And many have responded.
And I believe God's going to do some amazing things because we're going to feel safe because our walls are going to have somebody patrolling them 24 hours a day. If we can set up a prayer wall where a prophet is praying and seeking God every hour of the day, around the clock. And we're able to do that as we're reaching the nations, because as we combine the different time zones, it's very possible for us to cover every hour of the day.
If you haven't responded to this yet and you know that God wants you, it's time you respond and come and join and become part of this. Can you imagine how great it's going to be to sleep at night, knowing that at this point, somebody's praying, got you covered. Tell you what, we're going to see God do some amazing things.
Now, folks, none of these things come naturally. Sometimes we need to be taught. Sometimes we need somebody to gather us, mobilize us, and put us in our places.
I believe that those who have committed themselves to this, I know that Nadine is working on putting together something very powerful, some very good teachings, and a full course for you to help you move into this. So you will not be alone. You'll have somebody to help you.
The rest of you who are not at that level, we still want you to get praying. And we are going to be releasing a package of some of our teachings, which will show you how to hear the voice of God, how to journal, how to pray, and everything that's associated with it. The moment our products are all being sold at half price, but in view of the emergency of the situation, for a while, we are going to be releasing a package of e-books.
We're going to be releasing it to the public, and we're going to ask you if you can. You can give us a donation and contribute towards it. We do need finances to keep this ministry running, but if you cannot afford it, don't let that hold you back.
You can have it freely. We want to get you in, and we want to get you praying. Let's break the back of this COVID-19.
Let's break the back of Satan, who's destroying not only our health, but the economy as well. Many people have lost their jobs as a result of this. Many people may still lose their jobs.
We can't afford this to go on. We, as the body of Christ, must gather together as one and fight this enemy together. And if we all unite in prayer together, that's the only way we're going to be able to do it.
So I'm appealing to you, if you're listening to this right now, ask the Lord, Lord, where must I start? Have a conversation with Him. What must I do? What part can I play? Let's get the whole body of Christ. You know, if this was just in our country, we could call for the church in South Africa, but this is all over the world.
We're talking about the universal church in every nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue. Let's mobilize together. Rise up and say, Satan, no, no, you don't.
No, you don't. So far and no further. That is enough.
Now, don't get wrapped up in the world system. There's a lot of needs out there, but don't get wrapped up in charities, as good as they are. Your responsibility is first to the body of Christ.
And even Jesus, as he prayed to the Father before he went to the cross, he said, I pray not for the world, but I pray for those that you've given me and those that will believe on me as a result of their testimony. Your prime role is to pray for the body of Christ right now, because if the body of Christ rises up, it'll grow. We'll reach into the world, and we'll bring them into the kingdom of God, which is our ultimate goal.
Amen. So, Father, I pray for each one now that has heard this, and I ask you to challenge them. Challenge them, Lord.
Many have got time on their hands now. There's no excuse. And I ask you to stir your people up and challenge them, that no matter where they stand, they have a part to play in this.
They can get involved right now, and together, as we stand as one, we're going to conquer this foe, Lord. We're going to turn this world upside down for you, and we're going to claim it for you, Jesus. I feel that the Spirit of God is moving right now.
And some of you that have heard this word, perhaps you're feeling a conviction, a challenge. That voice that's speaking in you right now is the Lord. And perhaps what you're hearing is making you feel a little uncomfortable.
God's asking you to do something that you're not comfortable with. He'll never force you. He's offering you an opportunity.
You've fought him for a long time. Stop fighting him. You've made excuses.
Your excuses have been taken away. It's time now to just say, yes, Lord. I'm giving in.
Here I am, Lord. I don't have much to offer. I'm a nobody.
I've got nothing. But Lord, if you're going to take this nothing and do something with it, I'm giving it to you. I want you to do that now.
And I sense a very strong anointing even now. I sense that God is moving upon his people and he's bringing you to a fresh place that you've never been before. Some of you, you've been there before and you strayed away from it and he's trying to bring you back to it again.
And as I, the prophet, stood in the temple and saw the Lord high and lifted up in his glory, he became aware of all of his sins and failures. And he cried out to God and he was purged of his sin. And he heard the voice of God saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? See, God's not going to force you.
He's appealing to you and he's saying, who can I send? Who can I rely on? Who can I trust? As I said, here I am, Lord, send me. And only once you make that choice and that decision can God do anything with you. It's time to make that choice, folks.
You've messed around for too long now. Excuses must stop. I feel I must prolong this because somebody is struggling with this right now.
It's time to let everything go and to commit yourself fresh, totally and completely to the Lord and make him Lord of your life. Here I am, Lord. I have much to offer, but it's yours.
Why don't you pray that prayer with me now? Here I am, Lord. Give you what I have. I ask you to take it and do with it as you please.
Use me for your glory. I ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you for your people. May the body of Christ rise up this time.
Show the world how magnificent it really is. Thank you for that in Jesus' name.
